I love the upgrade choice I got on the Sunrise . A 400 dollar upgrade to a much poorer cabin. Wanted 400 dollars for going from a 4j to an oceanview. Really was funny,

Do not worry. In Feb mine did not show up until the day before. I called my PVP and he checked a couple of days before that and he said it was posted. If you are worried call your PVP or the milestone desk

If you have ever read your cruise contract you will find probably they can make him pay for the resuce. I think the contract allows the cruise line to take his first born child

Depends where you cruise is going. If Caribbean, it will suffice. Despite what jmcathome says, it is NOT the same as a passport book.
If you read I did not say it was the same as a passport book. It is if you do not need to fly or return to the US. On the boat and ashore there is not difference, If yours is it is not the same as mine
-
Yes. It is the same as passport, except if for some reason you had to take a plane home you could not use it as a passport.

Been To LaRomona on three different cruises. Why would a port change because of happenings at a hotel

There are tables for two do not know how difficult they are in main dining room. Usually on anytime they would ask when you went i, They do have what is called unlimited alcohol program, but it is restricted to 18 drinks I think. Cannot order more than one a a time.

It is true that unless you are priority you are not allowed in hallway, However I have never been stopped in the hallway I am pLat now but i did drop my bag in my room before i was Plat. One problem you might have is that your door might be cloed if you are not priority. If you can finda steward he will usually open it for you. and I put my bag in the closet, not leave it out
-
some of the ships I have cruised have had coffee and pastry. Those were in dining room where priority are meeting. Usually they do not as most now are meeting in theater that i have been sailing
-
It normally takes about 45 minutes if you have no problems. In Feb we ran into a crash on 95 and traffic backed up almost to s stop at times. Still made it in hour and 15 minutes. I left early as Plat and took a friend to FLL. Just go to guest services and make sure you can get off with the Priority .Just show your ticket. If ship docks on time you probably will not have a problem. They usually dock early in my experience.

It is supposed to be non refundable according to the rules. On my 25th in Feb part was refunable and part non refundable. I went to quest servies to check and all he said was that is what i had. I did not trust them so i went to the Casino and put 200 dollars on my sign and sail card then cashed in after losing ten dollars,. I lost that plus the 3 per cent. When i left the cruise I had 18 dollars left and received a check for that amount when i got home. CHeck you onboard account when you get on and it should tell you what it is. Some people have talked about putting money in the slot and then cashing out. I do not know how to do that but someone i am sure on the boat will.

I know you can bring a 12 pack per person on embarkation day, but I can't find anything in the forum or on Carnival about being able to bring more sodas on board from a port we visit. Can we bring sodas on from a port too?
Yes you can bring on sodas at each port that you dock. Same rule must be in cans

Dinner time will remain the same. If you have eary dining your meal will be starting when you leave. Casino will open when you get into International waters, do not know how long that will take

Last night, freaked out by the Cuba ban, I called and booked a different cruise leaving in Aug. When I got my confirmation it shows us as having twin beds, but I can't find where to change it to king. We are now in a oceanview guarantee so maybe that's why? Anyone know how to change this?
Sign into account. Go to Booking and order details . There you will see you bed arrangements and it will let you edit it, It will show the change

Are all balconies totally covered? Hoping there is a partially covered one. I thought there was a web site, but I cannot remember the name. Trying to decide between aft deck 8 or 6, any suggestions??
Thanks
As far a I can remember all balconies are covered on the Miracle. As for the deck If between 6 and 8 I would probably say 6 as if you are on 8 you might end up under a pool or Lido Most times I book on 7 as the only thing under and above aare rooms. However on Miracle I think Casino and such are lower. Miracle is a great ship one of the best I have been on

Wait until she goes to bed on the night before and then place the order.

I just got off the Breeze on Saturday (the largest ship I've been on), and am going on the Miracle on August (which will be the smallest ship I've been on). While I liked the Breeze a lot, it definitely felt more crowded to me than my other ones which were all Destiny/Conquest class ships. I'm assuming that with so many less rooms the Miracle will feel less crowded. Am I right in assuming that?
I have been on the Miracle three times. It is is smaller ship but it does not feel as crowded as the larger ship. It is smaller but has 1000 fewer people. Lines do not seem as long. Usually there are seats in theater. I have been on Breeze and ream and they always seemed to be more congested in common areas.

This might be a silly question but I just want to clarify before my cruise... all alcoholic drinks have an additional 18% gratuity attached... do you tip the bartender on top of that? I didn't purchase any alcoholic beverages on my last cruise, so I am not sure how this works and I don't want to be stingy but I also don't want to overpay!!
The bartender already gets part of the 18% of each tip.
-
They will show up on the last day of the cruise. You can use them for gratuties if you have not reached limit on other stuff.
-
You can book onboard at excursion desk, It is of no value to do so.

Had mine in Feb. Received the 25% onboard credit. There was not reduction in fare.
