You will get directions from the Shore side Concierge to drop you luggage at an area with a big sign that says "SPECIAL DELIVER".     An agent will then escort you through Security and to a checkin desk.   After checkin a representative from the ship will escort you aboard to either your room or Michael's Club.

     From the shore side concierge-

Celebrity Cruises has started a luggage program for our Penthouse and Royal Suite guests! Once you arrive to the pier, you will want to keep your eye out for the "Special Delivery" sign, which stands at about 6 feet tall. From there your luggage will be taken and you will be will be escorted through the check-in and security process and then right onboard, where you can either dine in Luminae for lunch or head to the Michael's Club Lounge until your Suite is ready. Our goal is to have your luggage in your suite shortly after the suite is ready.

"Special Delivery" bag drop off (for PH and RS only) is located in dropoff Area #6 (right in front of the entrance door to the terminal).  You will see a "Special Delivery" sign on the sidewalk.  Once you enter the terminal, Suite passengers are directed to the left of the security line and you will proceed through Security.  After Security the Suite/Zenith Check-in Area is to your left - all the way to the end of the terminal and right in front of the door to embark the ship. As soon as the ship is ready for boarding the Retreat (i.e. Michael's Club) Concierge will greet all the suite people and escort them en mass onto the ship.  If you arrive a bit later after they have begun the embarkation process, my experience is that after check-in the RS and PH suite passengers will be personally escorted onboard the ship and into The Retreat Lounge (formerly Michael's Club).  Lunch will be available in Luminae from approximately 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.

When talking to the shore side concierge today, he said that our traveling companions ( not in a suite) could join us  in the waiting area after they checked in and be escorted on board with us. Is there a designated suite waiting area at Cape Liberty? The concierge made it sound like it was a retreat type waiting room like in Ft Lauderale.

When booked into one of the these two categories, you are provided with unlimited specialty dining. I have a couple of questions regarding this:

    1.  Do you pay the specialty dining charge when eating in a specialty dining restaurant when staying in a PH or RS? Or is it part of the cost of the cabin?

    2.  Are you able to order from the specialty dining rooms for room service?

    Thanks

When we were in the penthouse last year, our butler brought my husband sushi from Sushi on 5, but since I’m not a sushi person he brought me several items from Qsine and it was no problem. I’m not sure if they still will do that but generally your butler will honor most any reasonable request.

Yes, all 3 of us had the monogrammed bathrobes waiting for us in the suite.  A really nice touch!

Since they took out the dressing table, where do you do your hair/makeup? Was there a makeup mirror anywhere?

  5. Okay, this dressing area change is sort of bothering me. I need a place to put my makeup on and do my hair. The dressing area   ( at least of the Infinity PH) had the large mirror and then a makeup mirror in one of the drawers. May not be a big deal to most, but I really liked having this space. Where can you do your hair and makeup now? And is there a makeup mirror somewhere or should I just bring my own?

  6.  We are Elite Plus and received our card explaining our perks for the 1/13 Edge cruise. Under speciality dining, it included a 15% discount for speciality dining. On our next cruise on 1/20, we received another card and that perk was not listed. We questioned concierge Denisa about it and she said “ no, that is your perk and they cannot take it away “, but I wonder.  I also saw under another topic a pic of the CC flyer for a different Edge cruise and again the 15% discount wasn’t listed.  What do you think?

(I tried to attach copies of The CC benefits flyers that we received for our 1/13 and 1/20 Edge cruises but apparently I have not mastered that skill yet.)

We went to supper in Cosmopolitan and had another great meal. After supper we changed and got ready for the show. Having learned from the first show we got there around 8:30 for the 9:00 show. Tonight’s show was Land of Khalida. The storyline is essentially that there were 4 groups that were ruled by 1 leader and they had drifted apart after that leader was gone and now after time they were looking for a new leader to bring them back together. This was a great show and a lot of fun to watch. We especially liked that they used water as a special effect, something we have never seen before on stage. We also saw a random guest get up on stage and dance for a couple of minutes before he was chased off lol. The crowd did react better to this show than the first main stage show.

This looks like the same show we saw a couple of weeks before but it was called Jewelry Box. Glad they changed the name, Jewelry Box  name didn’t fit the story at all.

Thanks so much for the info and safe travels!

  9. Anthony, thanks so much for the information. We are looking forward to our cruise next month. Since you are a casino player, perhaps you could answer a question for me. Do you happen to know the table minimums for three card poker and blackjack? I heard that they were higher than other X ships but that might be more “misinformation “.  Enjoy your cruise and good luck!   Debbie

  10. Sorry - we were on Infinity. I was so lost when we got on the ship that I just followed people into a large lounge. We were in 1640 and suppose that we were in the large aft lounge (near the elevators). It was a large space - just way too many people. It made me think of restaurants on land where there is a "maximum occupancy" rating on the wall. That is what this muster station needed.

P.S. Just read your second post. We have been on the deck (of other ships) standing like sardines by the assigned boat. The biggest difference was that we were outside and could breathe. We have been on three other cruise lines and they use the theater, lounges, restaurants, etc. and there is usually seating for everyone (a couple of times a handful of people had to stand but nothing like we experienced on Infinity).

We were at that muster in the Rendezvous and I agree, one of the longest we’ve ever attended and we’ve been on 60+ cruises. We were also on the previous cruise and it was the same thing, almost 30 minutes long. I really don’t know what the issue was. We were on that same ship in March and muster wasn’t near that long. I did mention it in the survey, for whatever good that will do.

  11. You may want to let choice air know of the change once it is completed by AA. I had a similar problem last fall and changed it directly with the airline without problem. Choice air called 2 months later and said they saw the change and it would be invalid unless choice air reissued the ticket. Not sure that would be true because I had the confirmation from the airline and reserved seats on the new schedule. Choice air said they would reissue the ticket to conform to the new schedule and sent me a confirmation that everything was fine. No change fees from the airline (Delta) or choice air as the schedule change was caused by Delta moving our departure to early morning on disembarkment day. We moved our return flight to the next day.

I just received an email from Choice Air notifying me that the airline has changed my flight so now I’m good to go. I’m thankful that I didn’t have to talk to them again. Thanks for all the input.

  12. Thanks for all the info. It was helpful when dealing with American and Choice Air. First we called American to find out what the MCT was and it was 45 minutes, but the agent was very helpful. She said yes, if there is any kind of delay, we’re screwed. She also said that since American made the schedule change, Choice should change it without fees. Next call to Choice Air, they said we would need a waiver code before the could cancel and rebook the flight (hoping in the meantime that our seats are still available). Then we called back to American, and got a very helpful agent that said, let me see if I can just change it. We questioned him about the fact that since it was a third party reservation, but he said, no problem I’ve changed it to an earlier fight. Very thankful that American was so helpful. Even though we are flying in two days early, this was really stressing me out!

  13. We are booked American business class Houston to Dallas, then Dallas to Santiago Chile next month. Choice air informed us of a change in our schedule, changing our connection time from 2 and 1/2 hours to 48 minutes. Of course this has us extremely concerned. We called Choice Air but they state our connection is within the allowed time so they will do nothing unless we cancel and rebook. I have two questions-

    1) Has anybody had any luck in getting choice air to change a connecting flight in order to make an international flight? Is it worth calling several times and possibly getting someone more helpful?

    2) if we miss the flight because our first leg is late, is it Americans problem or must we still deal with Choice Air. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

  14. We have also done this cruise several times. It is absolutely one of our favorites. One of the things we have really enjoyed in Seattle is a food tour in pikes market. We have used Savor Seattle but there are other companies as well. Pikes is about a 5 minute walk from the ship.

  15. Either the preceding cruise from Chile on 3/18 will be rerouted to end in San Diego (most likely scenario) or the 4/17 sailing will eventually have an itinerary change to a round trip Ft. Lauderdale sailing of some sort.

There is virtually no situation where X deadheads Infinity through the Canal as a non revenue sailing.

I believe that in September 2013 ( when our pacific coast cruise was cancelled) Millenium deadheaded through the canal TWICE, in order to get to dry dock in the Bahamas and back to the west coast to correct a propulsion problem. We are on the 3/18 sailing and have not been notified that we will be disembarking anywhere else but Ft. Lauderdale . That doesn’t mean it couldn’t change....

  16. When I called this morning, the captains club asked me where I got the info that the roll out it tomorrow. He said they have no knowledge of it. So where did this info come from?

In the past, I received an email from Captains Club, several days before, letting members know that the pre sale will be available for members. No such email has been sent.

While on the Reflection TA, we signed up and paid for a 2018 Transatlantic Cruise Deposit Confirmation. It states on the certificate that we must complete the TA booking between November 29th and December 30th (in order to get the obc). If this is correct, 2018 TA's should come out tomorrow. We shall see.
