We are sailing in 8 days. Wondering what movies have been on Regal recently? I love MUTS so hoping there are some movies I enjoy.
Laura
Just got off the Regal on October 8. I did a back to back and there were different offerings each week. The only repeats I am aware of were a couple of concerts (Pink) but The movies were different.

We completed our cooking class last week with Daria and it far exceeded our expectations. There were only 3 in the class so really got some special treatment! Food was excellent and Daria had a lot of interesting information to share regarding local fruits, vegetables, and spices. Their home is located on the mountain in a beautiful setting with lovely views of the water. If you are looking for something different to do with a local feel, this may be the excursion for you.

It was my understanding, and I actually experienced this, that you can purchase Future Cruise Credits for a time after sailing. Not sure of the time period but we booked a cruise shortly after getting off a cruise (within 30 days) and they sold us extra FCCs because we had not purchased enough. We always have at least one in the books but we were booking three cruises and we were able to purchase two more because we had recently sailed. It's a great deal--free money!

I love "traveling" with you and can't wait to find out where "we" will be traveling this winter! Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful time with your family.

Have been reading along on several of your boards, starting with the Emerald TA. We were also lucky enough to be on board with you. Celebrity sounds like a must try, but we just achieved Elite status on Princess so we must give it another go. Just had to share that when we were looking to book a cruise last week my husband wanted a room close to the laundry (even though we shouldn't need it since we are Elite). He does love doing laundry and is a master folder. How lucky am I? Enjoying the reads and dreaming of another cruise I need to take! Nadine

I like the International cafe because there are fewer options than the buffet. I particularly love their Greek salad and watermelon and feta salad. Stairs always, and stay busy. Really haven't had a problem because my focus is on activities and not food. Princess is great--they will accommodate your requests.

So happy to hear you are continuing the blog. Missed my morning update. Since you'll be in the Carribean, it will probably become my evening read.

I, too, have just loved following your blog for the last, almost 3 months! It has been a real treat, so informative and I almost feel I have been on the trip with you! Hope you and G have a fabulous Christmas at home. I will definitely look for your future travel blogs. Thanks for taking the time to entertain all of us!:D
Ditto this post. Look forward to living vicariously on a daily basis. Can't wait til January when "we" are in the Carribean. Have a fabulous Christmas.

If you give them a call they will fix it. I sent in 3 broker statements with the three separate forms and different confirmation numbers. They only credited one. Called them and explained what had been sent, and what was credited. They fixed it right away.

I guess it's been a while for me. I wasn't aware that they had to swipe cards. From my recollection, if you just ordered a drink from them minutes ago, they could simply recall your Folio number (the last 4 digits?) and write it on their order pads. Do the waiters now walk around with machines to swipe cards? If not, does that mean that we have to hand them our cards whenever we want a drink? Not a big deal to me, I just recall that, for UKP cards, they would simply remember us and give us the drink without having to show the card again.
It varied from place to place. International cafe usually swiped the card, but not always. Vines did not after they learned our numbers. Crooners didn't but usually they swiped the cards did by the Neptune pool.

Besides water and coffee drinks you can also enjoy some tea infused drinks and some energy drinks that are quite good. I love how easy it is when you have the card to try or get whatever you want. I figured I had 14 drinks one day and only 4 were alcohol-involved.

Such varying opinions! We were recently on the Emerald TA and ate at the Crown Grille twice and Sabatini's once. Both times at the Crown Grill had excellent service, great food and a very pleasant evening. Sabatini's had been a disappointment on a prior cruise, but since this is the end of the road for Sabatini's decided to give it one more try. Of the 4 diners, I was the only one that enjoyed my food. Others were not impressed. I didn't care for our waiter but my table mates thought she was good.

Had a wonderful TA cruise on the Emerald Princess recently. On my review where they asked how Princess could improve the experience I expressed my wish that they could not allow grumpy people on board. It seems some people are never satisfied and they like to try to ruin other peoples fun vacation. Found the staff wonderful and welcoming, food was good (I didn't have to cook so found it wonderful). There were a couple of issues but certainly wouldn't let them ruin my day. Can't wait to go again.

That's perfect. Also remember that the donkeys are actually mules so they are the size of horses. Some folks are petrified of animals. Our CD told us to wear long pants if planning to ride mules. Also everyone should wear closed toe shoes so you don't have to worry about the dung touching your feet.
This looks doable that's for sure but It may take me awhile because of the view. I think I won't share with hubby though.

Was not aware of this. Will have to check it out. I did a flash dance routine on the Star Princess in November that is on YouTube but don't think it's on the princess gallery.

Yes we called and they got it fixed. She said it was an IT problem, but interesting that it may be tied to entering the contest. My husband and I both entered the contest and were unable to log in. Our friends did not enter the contest and had no problem accessing the site.

This happened to me when I submitted three shareholder credits for 3 upcoming cruises. A quick phone call to Princess cleared it up pronto..

Loving your thread. We were experiencing Venice a year ago this month and it's been delightful to revisit. Loved Carol's word for Venice--enchanting...

Didn't see magnets on this list. The walls and doors are metal so you can use magnets to leave notes, decorations on door, keep tickets or invites together. Used mine a bunch on past cruises.

Do you sign up for flash sales on the Princess website? We have signed up for deals and information on sales but don't recall flash sales. I'm certainly interested in that!

We love to cruise and had only cruised Princess prior to our one HAL cruise. We were shocked by the prices of their wines. It forced us to bring our own on board and happily pay corkage fee. They do offer deals (if I understand correctly) if you are at certain loyalty levels, but seriously doubt we will ever reach any loyalty levels. Yes, we do enjoy our wine. I did enjoy other aspects of HAL but don't think my DH will entertain another voyage with them anytime soon.

Aruba tours
in Aruba
We did the jeep tours that took us around the island. I fell in love with the island, probably because of this tour. Wish I could remember the name of the tour. Made about 5 stops including the natural bridge, an old Catholic Church , lighthouse, and time on the beach.

Oia taxi and bus question
in Greece Ports
Posted
We took a taxi to Oia last fall. We took the ventricular to the top and wandered into the town and asked where we could find a taxi. It took a bit but was worth the effort. We were first off the cruise and first to Oia. We had the place to ourselves for about 1 1/2 hours. It was magical. I believe it was a Sunday morning which might explain why it took a bit to find a cab. We had no problems catching a cab back to Fira.
