Excited to hear about the UDP!
-
Got off Allure on 9/26 and still no points. Website says to give them ten days.
-
We were on the 9/19 Allure and all entertainment was normal. We saw SEVERAL of the entertainment cast members out and about at specialty restaurants and around the ship. I wonder if that will now change after this?

^I think that's the safest thing to do for your own stress and piece of mind. It would probably be fine, RCCL just says you need a negative test, not that you haven't been exposed.
-
This is why I'm going to a travel testing place or using the at home kit instead of an urgent care. I've read about this in the past that they're using phrasing like this to get reimbursed by insurance and/or the government.
-
Also, just throwing out a data point as we used one of these tests last night for our daughter, we had a wait time of 9minutes at 9pm Eastern time on a Thursday.

Thank you so much for posting these!

As a beginner who had never been on one before I did the tour in Labadee and will never do it again! They basically went as fast as humanly possible, told me since I was small and it was a bit rough I was going to get thrown around, and then nearly lost me because we had a bunch of experience people in our group going super fast and I didn't want to go as fast because I was getting really thrown around. I actually agree with others in this thread that I would have felt more comfortable renting on my own, getting the basics, and then just doing my own thing.

I love the Boardwalk Balconies! I book them OVER the ocean view because I'm weird I guess and prefer the people watching, entertainment, and the little bit of the ocean you can see.

^&^^ Yeah, you'll need an extra pack. I bought the six pack and was only given three names allowed total.

Thanks for the report!
Do you (or anyone else who has recently sailed) know if the crew onboard want anything other than money right now? Obviously we're going to tip more than normal, but there have been reports that it's harder for the crew to get off the boat and shop lately and we'd love to bring them any toiletries or random supplies they may need as well as cash!

I totally get you, we have several cruises booked and I just don't want to get my hopes up too high cause I feel like at any time they could be cancelled for any number of reasons. =(
-
Yup, MCO Airport is our backup plan for any testing issues as I've heard good things about their rapid results.
-
We have two cruises booked in September and November and cabanas are completely sold out for both.
-
Thanks for the great TR, I enjoyed learning and following it! Here's to our 'new normal' of cruising for a while!

^They're up now!

Are there any ships up in that area ready to go? Or would they need to reposition?

Sent my daughters old passport away on Tuesday 9/22. Kids (even renewals) are basically treated like new applications every time so we'll see how long it takes.
And got it back in the mail today. So less than seven weeks. Also they've updated the site saying they're not offering Expedited Service again for extra cost...not that any of us can go anywhere! 😃

I've often seen the stir fry and other themed stations at night on the smaller ships, not as often on the big ones. It does happen though!

I have no problems with everything listed in the document. Do I love it? Of course not, but to me it's not much different than how we've been living already and the idea of at least being on a cruise while wearing a mask, taking my temperature, and social distancing sounds better than doing it at home! Hopefully everyone who doesn't want to cruise with these conditions makes it easier for the ships to sail at the new limited capacity when they restart and they won't have to kick people off who want to be onboard.

COVID testing for vaccinated UK passengers sailing from US ports

^Yeah, I agree with the above poster. Sounds like you should either use your test you'll use to fly for the cruise and just get that one right before the flight or make an appointment for the airport testing facility (assuming it will still be open then). https://centracare.adventhealth.com/urgent-care/covid-19-testing-orlando-international-airport
