Does anyone know if you can open or remove the divider on the balconies between staterooms? We will be on the Jewel and are traveling with good friends who have the cabin next door.

I am deciding if any of these non-alcoholic packages would be worth it to us. We get fresh squeezed OJ in BLU (for AQU class) and bottled water in our stateroom.
I want to know how hard it is to find Vitamin Water (brand) on board and curious what flavors. We don't drink coffee.
It wasn't hard at all to find Vitamin water, sorry I can't recall the flavors.

I started Nutrisystem in November (I know - what kind of nut starts a diet right before the holidays :p) and have been losing a steady 1-2 lbs. A week. The food isn't too bad, there are a lot of foods that I like and I really don't feel deprived at all. I'm doing the Select plan and find the frozen meals comparable to Lean Cuisine or Smart Ones. I have about 27 more lbs. To
lose and am hoping I can keep it off this time.
Susie, I'm off to read your blog right now.

Sayvan,
Great review! We will be on the Infinity in July, it's nice to hear that she is in good shape. The pictures are wonderful.

jg51,
Thank you for the list - you've pretty much covered all the bases. It will definitely be worth my while to get the Premium package. I may not break even each day, but overall I think I'll come close. I love specialty coffees (lattes, espresso etc.) and was pleasantly surprised to see Hint Water on the list, I love that stuff.

Grocery stores are fascinating places in cultures and countries different from ours. After living out of the country for 8 years (4 years in Japan and 4 years in Germany in the '80's I found the supermarkets here in the States endlessly fascinating and could not get over the fact that many were open until midnight and gasp! even 24 hours. I would wander around for hours reading labels in my native language.
And living outside the US, when we found a McDonalds (or Dunkin' Donuts or Pizza Hut) we were thrilled - it was a little taste of home for us, something we rarely had.

Garry,
Fabulous pictures!! I don't have anything to compare, and anyway I wouldn't know how to post them if I did. So thanks for sharing yours.

SakeDad,
Thanks for the recipes - how about the next time we're on a cruise on the same ship I'll buy you a couple of drinks? Will that do?:D
I ran all over town today looking for the Maraschino liquer, had no luck so I ordered it online. Also ordered some Creme de Violette. Supposedly it was in the original recipe for what called the "Aviation Cocktail". I'll let you know how it turns out. I did enjoy a cucumber smash though.
Thanks Again,
Susan

SakeDad,
I'd love the recipe for the South Seas Aviation. That drink made my cruise to Mexico a very happy:D one! (Also loved the Cucmber Smash)
Thanks,

We selected the cabin we wanted on our second cruise (Celebrity) and got an email from our agent that we had gotten an upgrade - same category cabin, higher deck. I checked the deck plans and found the "upgrade" was under one of the bars and refused it. Never got another upgrade, but we have been happy with our cabins as we booked them so far.

The key lime pie on a stick is fabulous!

Moveup, thank you for your detailed description of "as you wish" dining. We will be on the Noordam in January and have selected this option, it's nice to hear from someone who has experienced it.
-
Definitely BBC, also Mojitos, but I don't think they qualify as "foo-foo".

Waffles served by the pool on Celebrity ships. We start with coffee and juice in our cabin, then I hit that waffle station. They are fabulous and I get mine piled with whipped cream and assorted berries, yum. Artery clogging? Yep. Do I care when I'm on a cruise? Nope.

Open balcony dividers?
in Norwegian Cruise Line
Posted
Thanks SDMike. It's not a big deal, but it would be nice to share one large balcony. It seems to depend on the cruise line. We had no problem with Celebrity (although the divider wasn't removed, they did open a door between balconies), on HAL the answer was no.
