Hi all. Heading back to Cozumel via Brilliance of the seas on March 31. While I'm anxiously awaiting this cruise I have been informed that my ailing Dad had flipped to Hospice care.
I want to be able to remain available to my family...sigh just in case...
Been looking at different "cruise plans " and the one that seems to fit my needs is the "gold plan"
Historically I'm a "no cell phone" kinda gal while on a cruise, but I'm sure Ya'll agree this is different.
I've read thru all the AT&T information and I understand all except. ROAMING er um International Roaming charges no charges ????
At present I understand the gold plan to be $150. Fine by me however should I expect additional charges , and if so ballpark hi /low dollars
HELP!
Looking for any guidance with experienced AT&T cell users to advise me.
Thanks in advance

Another vote for KSC...A few years ago , right after the shuttles retired...sigh..one could actually get in to the VAB while on a paid tour. I cried..this was where NASA folks put together the Apollo stages AND the Shuttles...such wonderful history. UNFORTUNATLY that part of the tour is no longer available.

MERION MOM FYI

We went over to the milea...aka sheraton. ..not bad. Took a cab both ways

Smack center on the hump on 8...I'm on a ship...I'm away from work...on the water...I've purchased ear plugs....here I come Brilliance march 31

Radisson is showing it's age...stayed x 3 at country Inn and Suites...good choice..they have a great, shuttle couple that does the schlepping to AND from port . Good package ...ok free breakfast
-
Here's the thing about Ybor....being a local the area can be sketchy...plus is you look...shuttle is one way...the cost with cab...shouldn't be bad...
Now it IS,in a HOT area. Clubs n such. .but for me. Embassy suites downtown was my choice...round trip shuttle and somewhat better area if needed to leave your car

To answer your question...if you don't see a listing for WW....you can place a notice on the boards (usually 'round guest services. ..you can choose the location.
On the Liberty...we would have meetings in the Chapel. .waaay up top !

I purchased the badge holder on Liberty last year on a 4 day. The plastic holder sleeve was tight. I had great difficulty removing the card and returning it into the sleeve. Split down one side after 2 days. I still like the concept. .there are similar ones out there that are tiny bit larger. This enabled me to keep all my winning casino $$ in the envelope. The sea pass is just the size of a credit card. Suggestion head over to Office Depot or Staples and check the ones they have.

I was just wondering the same thing !

Mr Sanchos does not restrict or limit visitors...locals even. Can get quite loud and crowded with weekend folks...HOWEVER they do have climbing water things
Nachi on the other hand has no water climbing things and limits and minimizes locals
Food bout the same...distance from port 20 minutes (?)
They're right next to each other nachi is first. You can see mr. Sanchos from nachi
Not traveling with kiddos..I appreciated the relative quiet of nachi.

I like Country Inn and suites. Clean friendly nice and friendly shuttle staff
They are a part of Radisson. ..I've stayed there 4 times

Hi everyone...I must say my cruise last year was an eventful one. It's now close to a year ago. Reading all the give n take of conversation.
The late departure close to midnight had no real affect on us. We DID find out the 4 folks that chose to leave the ship were upset "because the couldn't gamble" Sigh
The 1 or 2 that were HANDCUFFED off the ship was due to "drugs located "
We did have wonderful entertainment by the dive team. Great bodies. ..went on for HOURS
THE Oscar Oscar Oscar happened in the Florida straits upon our return. I was loosing in the casino at the time..at security gal had a walkie talkie on and we heard it on her device. Then the ship hard left then right...that's when we were told as we were walking about about turning around because someone "fell" over board
Unfortunately he jumped not fell
We returned to our cabin as instructed. Canadian ship and us (coast guard)
and a boat from the ship were all involved in the search. Erie silence...no band no loud voices. ..dead stop...we were released by the USCG after I think 2 hours (don't quote me) and we were on our way back to PE.

"High season " rates can take a CHUNK out of one's wallets...why so much..just because they can. I was fortunate enough to have Wyndham points...to help out with the dollars..
-
Uh...closest to the port
-
I like Country Inn and suites...sounds like what you're looking for. Nice clean VERY CLOSE TO PORT..ok free breakfast. .discounted shuttle and parking AT the hotel. ..2 way shuttle !
-
We're staying at the Embassy Suites downtown. One word of advise please confirm parking (if needed) and TWO way pre cruise and post cruise shuttle is included. We found frequent ONE WAY transport was included with a lot of cruise pavksges...one would need to pay for return to hotel..
I live 30 minutes north and agree with previous poster FAIRGROUNDS and STADIUM areas can be iffy. With one exception..HARD ROCK. ..when I checked no cruise packages (parking OR shuttle provided)
I'm staying in town night before because of the north to south traffic...my vacation STARTS the night BEFORE the cruise...just call me spoiled. ..
