The Atlas has been part of the perks for 15 plus years.

The log of the cruise is now usually available at the PSD.

Stewart stopped passing it out a couple of years ago.

If they do pass it out they have to personally go down and get some to leave on the cabins.

We received one in February 2109, but not in July or September.

Yes the Regal does have a fridge that you can put your wine in.  Get a couple of glasses from the bar.  Some have walked into the dinning with their wine.  There will be a sale for free drink packages, but like all sales compare the price to your current price.  They will store your bottle of wine in the dinning if you paid the corkage.  On turnover day you will be able to leave the ship and you can bring 2 more bottles of wine on.  It is truly anytime dinning but there is a number you can call to reserve if you wish.

I think you will enjoy the Regal and Princess.

We were on the Regal in July-Aug. Dine line would not take reservations in anytime dining. They did for the first 2 nights, but the remaining 9 nights they would not.

Yes. The PES cocktail hour is on all ships. There is a limited menu of reduced price drinks and some munchies. The drink offerings were changed a while back and, in the opinion of many, is not as good as it used to be. If we go I order the Moscow Mule. You will also receive free Internet minutes for being Platinum. (This is the same benefit as Elite.) For your 16 day voyage you will receive 250 free Internet minutes. Everybody in the cabin who is Platinum will each receive the free minutes.

It was not available on the Regal on our recent Baltic cruise. We normally have a card in our room and nothing on this cruise.

How do you think the staff will react to a "Ace of Latte" unused card? I sent one off along with some leftover New Grounds cards to be used by a family on an Alaskan cruise before they expire?

I had an unused Ace of Latte a couple of years ago with a couple of punches left. The barista had to find a supervisor to find out what the card was.

On the Royal/Regal/Majestic there is a $10 deluxe version (sign up in the atrium).

They still have the free one in the DR. (check the Patter).

We just got off the Regal on a Baltic cruise. There were no free afternoon teas on this cruise, only the ones for a charge.

  6. WI issues the real ID and has for several years. When my wife's came up for renewal last month, she asked if could be used to go to Canada without a Passport. She was told no, only the states with the enhanced ID, not necessarily the real ID qualify. Apparently only a few of the border states have it.

All ships do the omelets, but I hate that they don't let you wait (and crowd the area-I get it) because by the time I have gotten served the eggs are cold, or they were under the lamp waiting for so long they are way overcooked.  I always try at least once per cruise and I'm usually disappointed I wasted my time. I hope your experience is better.

We just got off the Regal yesterday. We did wait for the omelet at the omelet station. It did not appear they were delivering any of them on the Regal.

Right or wrong, they can do whatever.  I believe it is done for any cruise where on board currency is not USD.  I imagine they do it to protect themselves in case of currency fluctuations.  When we traveled in Europe around our Baltic cruise this summer, it was not unusual to find some restaurants and the like adding 1% or so to the bill for using a VISA card.  So, it could be similar for Princess as perhaps there are higher bank charges in Australia or when using AUD.

We have also seen this in restaurants in the US. We just returned from the Baltic yesterday. When we were in Germany it was tough to find a restaurant that took CC.

I do doubt this and would want to read actual verification of this done by more than one passenger.  About 2 years ago, my wife did a 5 day with one of our daughters when we were in FL and I was left ashore.  (Sniff, sniff).  I asked my wife to submit FCD form for both of us.  IDK if it was a clerical error or not (my name was on the form with member ID), but it was her and our daughter who got FCD's.  So, we cancelled daughter's and got refunded.

Incidentally, that cruise has made my wife Elite one cruise prior to me.  I will have to sweet talk her into coming with me every time I want to visit the PSD on our next cruise.  LOL.  I guess I won't have a say in the mini-bar content either.  😉

We now have 7 or 8 FCD's as I just ordered three more on the Regal this month.  I am going to cancel out and refund some of the old ones when we return home.  It keeps the expiry date more off in the future as we didn't really need 7 or 8 of them.  Of course some folks on here probably think 10 is an acceptable minimum.  LOL.

We were able to for our kids and grand kids who were not on the cruise. The only catch, was, we had to book the cruise with the cruise planner while on board.

That is exactly the kind of behavior that sooner or later causes benefits earned and paid for to be discontinued.

If you don't think Princess's rules should be followed then please choose another cruise line.  We already lost a great all inclusive drink package because some unethical people cheated and used it to get free drinks for their friends.

Don't worry about me! I was doing a test to see how far others were willing to bend the rules. I don't even go to the MDR for formal nights, since I don't bring a suit with me.

The prices for suites seem to be more stable than they are for other categories of cabins. And if you can't find a TA with better pricing for suites, you could book through the big box store and get generous onboard credit or a rebate on a gift card.

We have always gotten OBC from the big box store, never a rebate on a gift card.

  12. If you have the time, take the Voyage of the Glaciers and do the land portion either before or after the time on the cruise ship. If this is your first time, Glacier Bay is a must. If you do not have the time available then the Seattle round trip works out. Occasionally Princess will have a round trip from Vancouver. This seems to be in early May.
