  1. Thanks for sharing, good to be reminded of it! I did see that notice, but my interpretation is that this is not an INDIVIDUAL package, in that it clearly says that it is for two. But who knows? We'll see!
  2. Just in case you are curious: Entertainment opened for booking on Thursday 3/9 about 6 p.m. (Cruise Critic time). I will be interested to see how long before shows are booked up -- hopefully all here on CC can get the reservations that they want.
  3. Hiding rubber ducks is great fun. It may sound silly, but there are very sensible "rules" regarding where to hide them. See https://thepointsguy.com/guide/cruising-ducks/, for example. Have a great cruise!
  4. I am scheduled for the Allure at the end of April. Other topics in this forum have assured me that as long as I show up early for a show, I will get into it, because many people abandon their reservations. The only exception is the Comedy Club -- that one is hard to do a "walk in", apparently. But no worries on the other shows. I feel sure that you will get a more authoritative answer from someone who has sailed the Oasis recently, but I wanted to assure you that all is not lost! Have a great cruise!
  5. I just got an email from RCCL inviting me to sign up for Entertainment on my upcoming cruise (Allure, 4/30). The email has a link to the place on the website where one signs up for Entertainment reservations. But that site still says "check back closer to your sail date". Is the email a sign that Entertainment reservations are imminent? Or is the email just an error on the part of RCCL? Anyone else got the email? Opinions on whether or not I should be refreshing the screen every 5 minutes starting now...? TIA.
  6. Thanks, very helpful! Was the session in the photographer's studio, or somewhere on the ship, or off the ship, or ...? About how long did the session last?
  7. Has anyone done the "Private Photo Session" that is advertised in the Photo section of My Royal Cruise? What is it like, and were you pleased with the results?
  8. Does anyone have experience with Lyft for embarkation (not debarkation) from Houston Hobby to the Port of Galveston? How much did it cost (was surge pricing in effect?)
  9. Thanks to all for the helpful information in this thread. I have not cruised in 15 years, so all my info is way out-of-date. My wife and I are taking our granddaughters (ages 8 and 9) on their first cruise. Just the 4 of us. We like meeting new folks per a larger table, but we recognize that many would not like to be seated with children. Would it be reasonable for us to email rcldining@rccl.com two weeks from sailing date to request that we be seated with another couple with similarly aged children, if practical? Or is that asking too much?
  10. Thanks for the excellent review. I especially liked your even-handed approach listing both good and bad. Did you eat in the Main Dining Room? If so, what were your thoughts about that?
  11. #1TravelMom: This is off topic but I read in another forum that you sometimes like to stop in a guide's neighborhood and give things to the children there. Do you still do so? If so, what sorts of things seem most appreciated?
  12. I have not cruised in about 15 years, but it used to be that on Royal Caribbean, if you wanted something from the previous day's menu, all you had to do is ask. Is that no longer the case? (It was also unlimited filet mignon back then. My 8 year-old ordered filet mignon every night!)
