  1. The theater is small. Think more like 20 seats vs hundreds. You do not have to book times/get tickets in advance. It got to the last day of our cruise and we realized we never tried it and we were able to walk up and purchase tickets. Once onboard you will be able to get the schedule and plan accordingly.

We were glad we tried it but also glad we just purchased individual tickets instead of the pass as we would not have used it again.

  2. I dont see any check in times listed for my 2/27 Breeze cruise. I have not received an email either. I wonder what the effective date is of the new policy is?

I also checked my 2/25/17 Vista cruise and I don't see check in times for that one either - but I've only put the deposit down on that one so I dont know if you have to be paid in full before the times show up or if the fact that the ship is still being built is why I cant select a boarding time.

  3. Hi All! We've been reading over the most recent review for the Breeze and I'm getting a littler nervous . The reviews have gone way downhill since we first reserved our spot back in April. We are currently booked on the Breeze on Feb 27, 8 Day Eastern Caribbean to St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Antigua, and DR. BUT, the new reviews are going downhill.

We have just found an alternative 8 Day on the Sunshine that goes to St. Maarten, Grand Turk, San Juan, and St. Kitts.

Anyone been on both boats and have an opinion, or love one set of ports better than the other? We sailed the Liberty in February 2015 and loved it, so I'm fearful of being disappointed this go-round. Thanks!!

Hey I am on this cruise too!

I can't wait and have no reservations about it. It will be our 2nd time on the Breeze (exactly one year after our first breeze cruise- same cabin even).

I would not worry about the negative reviews, just prepare for an awesome 8 days!

  4. Hey do you remember what kind of hours Guys Burgers had?

I know they are usually like 12-6, but on our breeze cruise in 02/15, the hours were like 12-2:30 and 6-9:30. I loved having the option to get a burger for dinner as there are already a lot of lunch choices.

Thanks and I am glad you had a great cruise.

  5. I think the Breeze has a lot of entertainment options.

On a given night of our 8 day southern Caribbean cruise last February, starting aft, there was Comedy in the limelight, Ben in the piano bar, live guitars in the Red Frog, Deja Vu in Ocean Plaza, a Latin Duo in the Atrium and the production show in the main theater--- all at the same time.

Counted up that is 3 live music options, a comedy show, and the playlist show - not counting the Piano Bar.

None of these options may have been your cup of tea, and I get that, but to say there is no entertainment would not have been a valid complaint at least not on our cruise.

I am sorry there was an issue with the comedians on your trip - but that is not something that happens on a regular basis.

We enjoyed the Breeze so much we booked it again for 2016.

  6. Inside Cabin on Lido is my very favorite cabin to book. We have done it 3 times (although not on the ship you are going on) and we have never had any negative experiences with the location.

When I booked the Vista, the Havana insides were actually cheaper than the Lido Inside (since then the Havana has gone up beyond what we paid for the Lido). I considered the Havana but ultimately chose the Lido inside. I just don't want to be anywhere else when I am on a cruise!

  7. You should be able to make your reservations for the steakhouse and Cucina del capitano if you have paid in full.

There is a menu for Bonsai on the carnival website. Click Explore and Dining and you can find it. No reservation needed for this one.

No reservations for comedy or the shows - but the comedy can fill up fast so you may want to be there 20-30 minutes before the start of the show.

  8. Been on both (we did the freedom prior to the 2.0 upgrades) and I can say you will have a great time on either. We did.

But to pick one, I am another vote for the Breeze. It is simply awesome, and as evidence of that, we have another cruise booked for 2016 on her.

The décor is not highly important to us, but the Breeze wins that one.

The layouts are fairly similar. Breeze has more lunch options and a better water area.

The Freedom has the fish and chips which I really liked and it was the only thing I missed from the conquest class.

  9. Hey there, thanks for the review. Sorry you had to deal with the issues you had. Sounds like there were some definite bummers.

Question for you, when we were on the Breeze in Feb. Guy's was open from like 12-2:30 and 6-9. Our first cruise with a Guys - it was open from like 12-6. What were the hours on your cruise?

Just curious since we will be back on the breeze next Feb.

    Thanks
