Have a wonderful trip! We had Raul as our guide and he is a great guy. Very knowledgeable. You will learn a great deal about Cuba from him. He loves baseball and the Astros are his favorite team. I attached a picture of Raul and our driver, Abel, so you’ll know who to look for.

Just curious - at check in, did the folks give you a hard time when you checked that box on the form?

    Mike

Leave the box empty and check whatever box they tell you to.

Don't even discuss it with them.

On our last trip we had people arguing about what box they wanted to check off, then were re-writing the forms out again to comply.

  3. As a Brit I can understand this.

Most Brits do not tip in their own country, if so a very small amount.

I have British friends that cruise frequently this subject always comes up.

Invariably they remove the pre-paid gratuities. Prefering to pay as they see fit.

It's a cultual thing. You won't change them.

Myself, I have become way too Amerian and follow the typical US tipping norm.

  4. No way I would carry all 12 of my pill containers around.

I just fill the weekly containers and bring those.

The pills are easierly identifiable, and if needed I can supplpy my medical notes describing my prescriptions.

  5. The money changind desks were open right up till we departed, but with less desks open.

Sure, give it to the crew, they can use it on their next visit. But I bet they would prefere the good old US$
