In Cancun? There are no cruises that go to Cancun... do your mean Cozumel? Prices for most out of network dialysis is I. The $500 range...
-
Find a really good Lido bar server... tip them well and they will make whatever accommodations you like... I had some who would take our cooler and hold it for about a half hour then when they brought it back it was filled with our usual beer/soda/waters on ice unopened... I signed a few slips, slid a few bucks and everyone got what they wanted...

What deck??
-
Keep in mind, balcony on deck 6 is right above the lanai deck. You will look over people/deck below. I love the privacy of cove balcony but be sure not to be under galley

To be fair, Cucina at lunch is much different than at dinner... lunch is just a pasta place... dinner has a great menu, singing waiters and a nice, casual atmosphere... it is difficult to judge a dinner Cucina experience from just the lunch one... that being said, we eat there often on a cruise and have never had issues making same day reservations! Enjoy

I’m sure the Consultants from beantown are looking at it and will take some surveys about it!!

Generally I agree, but this last cruise for Halloween on the Glory I actually had the best cabin steward I have ever had in all my cruises! Truly the best. A lady by the name of Lydia on Lido deck...
-
Magic 100% love the layout, food options, entertainment etc... just got off the Glory 2 weeks ago and it seemed a bit “meh” not bad, just so-so. Of course things can change but as we f now my vote if for Magic... now I would have to check, but isn’t the breeze supposed to take over for the Magic in PC sometime in 2018?

Yes, they will give you an extra key card, no problem... however be prepared to be flamed here for the “oops forgot I was bypassing the cheers” admission... its a very touchy subject...

I was on this cruise too (we were the jellyfish...lol) and I would agree overall it was kinda a “meh” cruise. There was nothing really “bad” but with the exception of Halloween night, it felt like it lacked energy. I felt like the CD Dustin and his “fun squad”lacked energy... the comedians however were all really good, top notch! I do love cruising at Halloween, and do one every year, I was a bit underwhelmed by this one...
I agree that Grand Cayman was a total cluster! We had to be back on board at 2pm on the other side of the island! The line to get a tender was endless and we barely had 3 hours onshore... total waste! In fairness, when we went to the 7 mike beach, there were like 5-7 ft waves and apparently ships for the last 5 days had cancelled... but it was a very short, expensive beach day!
Our cabin on deck 9 had new carpet and mattress so not sure if they are still in the process of replacing them. I did have the most AMAZING cabin steward, Lydia I have ever had in all my cruises! Truly spectacular!
Menus in the steakhouse were the old ones... for the first time I was unimpressed with the steakhouse service... again, not bad, just “meh”. And why oh why can they NOT offer bitter n blanc on 7 night cruises? It’s bread pudding for Pete,s sake, NOT that difficult or expensive?? C,mon Carnival!
And yes, the smoke in the casino was really horrible, seemed way worse than usual!
I will admit I was disappointed in the itinerary switch as the eastern route was the very reason I booked, but better luck next year I guess! I gotta start thinking of my costumes!!

There are no “down days” in port... they only exceptions are when repositioning to another Port... cruise ships are continually in operation. Overnight ports (relatively few) time off is rotated...

If the 1099g is issued to the organizer then they would be responsible for filing the winnings on their taxes and subsequently, be solely responsible? Seriously, if so many have issues with who gets a few points, or who’s card etc... just don’t participate... simple as that. If you are the organizer, it’s your rules, all others can skip it or organize one with their rules... period.
-
If you organize the pull.... you should put your card in... period... if that bothers you, you should forgo participating and gamble solo.... it’s a fun event activity to meet other cruisers ... not a pyramid scheme to get rich.... get a grip people!

I tried a few of these too... for research purposes (on the Glory last week) The Tropical Mule was really good (but you have to like the banana flavor) ... the Coconut martini was too coconut for me and not sweet enough (the water did not really add any sweetness to cut the liquor IMO) and the Serenity Martini was really tasty but I subbed vodka for gin since I am not a gin drinker....

If you are on a ship that puts the S&S cards in mailboxes, you can use your boarding pass until your rooms and cards are available

2 days here... Glory Halloween cruise!

Yes, you will have to pay the single supplement... I just had to do this a few weeks ago. I had to cancel my husband for a covered work reason, CCL charged me the 200% but since We had cruise insurance together, I filed the paperwork to be reimbursed my supplemental fare ... Our insurance is with a 3rd party carrier. It’s not right but it is within their rights
-
Saw 2 people board with them a few weeks ago... they just can’t be used onboard... whatever local laws apply in the island/ports will govern if you can fly them there. They must be kept in cabin while sailing

Bring gel glitter... it stays better and less mess! And we all learned a lesson... never ask CC about glitter! Apparently a touchy subject. Will add to the tablecloth, smoking, sharing drinks, run runners subjects that should be avoided.

My guess is that the Spirit and Legend will homeport in Sydney and Brisbane year-round, respectively as a new terminal capable of handling larger ships is opening in Brisbane in time for the Fall 2019 season.
The Splendor will probably replace the Legend in Alaska as it has the retractable glass roof over one of the pools. In addition, the ship could possibly go to Australia/New Zealand for cruises during the peak summer season Down Under.
Although Splendor is doing an Alaska cruise as a journeys cruise... it does not have the Azipods which makes it not an ideal Ship for regular Alaska cruise season... they need the maneuvering that Azipods provide ... my money is still on Splendor going to Australia... The closed roof pool is also attractive to Asia market as they prefer not to get too much sun. I think a Conquest class will replace Splendor in Long Beach, Glory or Valor....
-
I could see Splendor taking over the Australia/Alaska routes that Legend has now, and then a Conquest, Dream, or Vista class ship taking over the Mexican Riviera routes Splendor will be inheriting from Miracle. Legend would sail from Sydney year round.
If Glory goes to Long Beach, Horizon would likely go to New Orleans and then Vista 3 takes over for Horizon in Miami. Either that or Port Canaveral gets a Vista class ship and Breeze goes to New Orleans.
Or even the Valor going to replace the Splendor in Long Beach with Breeze going to N.O and Glory going to Galveston and a Vista class going to Port Canaveral... I just can't see a Vista class going to N.O.
-
My money is on the Splendor going to Australia (as rumors have speculated and it was shown on a dry dock list in Singapore in a FB post from a ship construction group ) and the Glory going to Long Beach with the Triumph going to Miami with 2 ships in the N.O. Market...

Beginning of October (5th) it was the Bluetooth speaker...

You will have to front the money for medical care to the hospital/doctor... if you do not have a credit card to pay the up front charges, you will need to have a family or friend wire you money or secure it for you. You can then get reimbursement from the insurance.
dialysis in Cancun?
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
They question should not be “why would anyone WANT to have dialysis in Mexico” but “WHAT are my options for getting life-sustaining treatments that allow me to enjoy vacationing and travel”? We took my mother in several cruises and set up dialysis for her. She was on dialysis for 7 years. Granted that was a few years ago, and obviously prices have increased... but we always found adequate and safe facilities. She did dialysis in Key West, Puerto Rico, Barbados and St Martin ... but we looked into Cozumel once as a backup. I say use good judgement but live your life and good on you for finding solutions...
