  1. We recently upgraded to this package for our October 26 Summit sailing. Apparently this upgrade is only being offered for 2019 sailings so far. We had the classic as a perk and had upgraded to Premium sometime ago.  When you board your cards need to be reprinted to say PALL PLUS. Inform your room steward you both have the Premium Plus so they will restock mini bar. The 4 bottles are low end. One white and one red per person. We managed to switch to white. We didn’t end up doing the wine tasting. For casino credits see cashier in casino and you will get instructions. I think it was well worth the upgrade cost and we enjoyed the mini bar and casino credits the most.

Thanks for the details. Disappointing that there isn't a choice of bottles of wine - maybe could trade in all 4 for a nice bottle. 🙂 For your mini bar, was there any flexibility on the items stocked (e.g., liquor or soda choice). Thanks!

To be honest we did not request changes in selection for minibar. We loved La Crema wine and happy with the vodka and Heineken. I used the Evian everyday also.

  3. Just off the Summit Saturday and we upgraded to the Drinks and more. The upgrade must be done prior to sailing, not offered onboard. They refer to it onboard as the premium plus package. A couples of things to note. You need to go to guest services to have your card reprinted. The cards will have PALL and once reprinted will say PALL PLUS. Both must have upgraded for mini bar. All things included in mini bar but inform your room steward you have the upgrade. Ours did not know and wasn’t restocking. We got that fixed. Your wine will be delivered and will be two red and two white unless you specify. They are not great choices in wine (low end). To add your casino credits just visit the casino cashier and they will be loaded with instructions. We did not end up doing the wine tasting. For the minibar and casino credits we thoroughly enjoyed this package.

  4. I am sure this is similar to the muster drill on the Summit out of San Juan. We have done this four times. The first three times muster drill was around 7:15 pm for an 8 pm departure. That always interfered with dinner. Last year they had one at 4:45 pm

but would have a second one for individuals that missed it later. Really was must better and look forward to that format again this year.

  5. Our group of 10 (5 CC cabins) had our 5 night April 6 Infinity cruise cancelled due to charter. We were given 5 other 5 night cruise options on Infinity. We booked March 23 got cabins similar to what we originally booked and kept our original booking rate and perks (which was much lower than current rates for March 23 cruise and our perks were better). We also get an additional $100 OBC due to original cruise being cancelled.

  6. We are 10 women in 5 CC cabins March 2020 on the Infinity. The biggest advantage for us on the M class ship is that these cabins are about 24 sq ft bigger than regular balconies. When beds are apart the added space helps. We only paid approx $10 per day than regular balcony. The added bonus also is access to priority dinner reservation times which helps with a group this size.

I agree that from most all indications it’s not cancelled. Double check with your TA. I’d hope they would have contacted you by now.

I hope it is on. I see from roll calls people on the 4 night April 16 Infinity were notified last week their sailing was chartered. As both my TA agree just need to wait and see.

I checked a common port call website and it lists Infinity for 7 April 2020.

I hope it is on. We have done a lot of preplanning to date. It is concerning when you want to book a private excursion and they won’t as their official schedule does not show Infinity in port April 7. He said he sees Equinox April 5 and Infinity April 15. It will be either third time a charm or three strikes and you are out.......

  9. I have now gone over to the roll call. Yes I do see this on a couple of online TAs and one is who we booked with but not showing on many others. I am waiting for my agent to call back. Captains Club will only say it is not cancelled but pulled for inventory and not selling and any cabins to avoid overbooking. This sailing is not showing up on Port schedules for Key West or Cozumel.  Will have to wait for a definite answer from Celebrity.

  10. We are a group of 10 women currently booked 5 cabins CC (all 5 together) on the April 6, 2020 Infinity.  This sailing has been removed from inventory for well over a week. I was assured all is good but I attempted to book a private sailing excursion in Key West and he stated he does not have Infinity in Key West on April 7 but does April 15. That would be for the April 11 sailing. Anyone aware of this sailing being chartered? This is my third attempt as previous 2 have been chartered also.

  11. We have been able to link reservations as long as as reservation is not part of “group” reservation.  We use a large on line booking provider and many reservations can be part of a group rate which creates problems linking reservations. We have just gone to the restaurant as soon as we board to make reservations in that case.

Hello = we booked a complete Panama Canal cruise on Celebrity Summit for November 2020.  We are going from San Diego to Fort Lauderdale.  We got some very nice perks as we booked it from our Summit Bermuda cruise.  I have all ready looked at excursions....every thing looks good.  Looking forward to this - one of our bucket list items.

We too are booked on this cruise. We are travelling with 3 other couples so will be researching excursions.

  13. We have booked a 15 day full transit San Diego to Fort Lauderdale November 2020. This is our first time so will need to research excursions. This is also first time in an inside so will need to be creative. The cost difference was huge so just happy we will experience it.

  14. Thank you for your review. We have been on the Summit 5 times. Last time was October of last year. We are back on October of this year in Concierge. Yesterday just booked the 15 night Trancanal for November 2020 in and inside on the Summit. We have never sailed in an inside but this is a dream cruise for my husband as he is retiring and that is all the budget allows. I appreciate the positive comments on the room.

  15. We have sailed on the Summit out of San Juan 4 times. Muster drill has been about 7:45 pm. Either we eat early to finish prior to Muster drill or wait until after. They have the later departure due to accommodate same day flights. We always fly in day prior and stay in Condado. Too many stories of people missing disembarkation due to issues with flights.

  16. We sailed Carnival twice out of San Juan. We had booked a third cruise with them and they inadvertently cancelled on us. The best thing to ever happen as we booked Summit that year - 2014. Coming up to our 9th Celebrity cruise and my cruise line of choice. We are back on the Summit Oct 27 and back next October so will look forward to seeing it after revolution refurbish.

  17. I posted this on 11/27/17

We returned today from our 7 day Caribbean cruise on the Silhouette and one of tbe stops was Cap Cana. It took sometime to load the tenders because of rough waters but we made it on shore.

We decided to go to Juanillo Beach, which is about 25 min ride. The round trip on the shuttle was 20/person and it left every 15 or 20 min. A cab with scheduled pick up time was $65/car so convenient if it is more than 3 in your group. Once there we went to Little John restaurant and settled in a cabana style seats and table. Payment was consumption but you could negotiate. Beach was nice but there was a lot of seaweed and water clarity was not that great. The other option was API beach for $15 round trip per person. It looks like they put a net out in the water to prevent seaweed from getting to shore.

The shops at the marina were open but there really wasn't much to see.

The tender on the way back was much better. This is a port I would not mind missing in the future.

Excursion to same beach was 109 per person. Too pricey IMO

Thanks so much for your report back. My sister and I are on the Equinox in January and hard to find info on this port. Think we will try Juanillo beach as you did (if we are able to tender). I try to avoid tendered ports when booking cruises with my husband but sister liked this itinerary.

  18. If you see that again do a mock booking complete with screenshot and put a 24 hour hold. Then call your TA. I've had that work.

Yes I normally take a screen shot but neglected to this time. I just quoted the rates I saw but they will not acknowledge that the rates were in effect when I emailed.

  19. I think the classic works for most but I always upgrade to Premium. I am a wine drinker and premium offers more options. I enjoy the martini bar and my pool cocktail is belvedere and soda. No frozen drinks for me so premium is a no brainer for myself. My husband drinks beer but premium is worth it for wine with dinner. You need to assess what works for you.
