  1. Have to say the "sales" in the shops are pretty pathetic. Haven't seen anything too great yet..and if you want the colourful bags and other Columbia souvenirs, get them in the terminal shop. Better prices and selection. Will see what is on offer in Colon tomorrow. The staff have been great and the food generally good so far. But we don't really do the Lido. Have to remember to check out the cakes! From what I have heard walking by in the evening, BBKings singers are good but not great, Billboard is not great ( to me anyway). Haven't caught Rolling Stone act yet.
  2. Then got a latte and bossche bol at Dutch cafe. Had to laugh- when I cut into the bol, it was empty..! Had to go back and get a cream infusion! Everyone just laughed along with me!
  3. We find the shops here to be pretty good. Got a leather purse, leather cell phone holders, wallet and coffee beans. Had an iced coffee, took some photos of parrots and peacocks and headed back!
  4. After breakfast we made our way to the gangway and once off, boarded the free shuttle bus for the 1 minute drive to the terminal area. If you have trouble walking or just don't like walking in the heat, the shuttle is a great convenience. We just shopped here and looked at the denizens of the aviary.
  5. Just sailing out of Cartagena now, after a hot, muggy morning. About 33° C. We enjoyed a leisurely breakfast at CO. The ship cleared for disembarking about 730 am so no crowds on board.
  6. To close out this very nice day at sea- we had dinner in CO, both of us the choosing the shrimp costini, which was a good pile of shrimp in a creamy sauce on 2 small baguette slices (okay, one slice was gone by the time I took the picture)! Then the callaloo soup, nice and light. Followed by the Port to Table hake. We hadn't tried hake before so that was good, another mild white flesh fish and true to form for this cruise, not over-cooked. Dessert for me was the yummy Opera cake, and DH had his usual cheese plate. After dinner, the show was Robert Neary again, this time with hits through the decades. A very good show. The theatre was full by 7:06 for the 7:30 show! I enjoyed my new favourite, a mojito, during the show. Later I tried the third of 3 coffee drinks- Christmas chocolate mint. Pretty good concoction. But of the 3, my fave is the spiked eggnog. Tomorrow we are in Cartagena, leaving at 2 pm. We just plan to go to the terminal area with the shopping building, aviary, and coffee shop. We've done a few tours already over the years so that will be enough. It will be interesting to see if it has changed much.
  7. Up on Observation Deck, I noticed an area set up for what I assume will be a vow renewal:
