At what time were the productions shows @Crumbled ? Do you remember?

Hi fellow cruisers. Edge cruising is only a few weeks away, so I was wondering how she is doing these days. How do current / recent guests rate their cruise impressions? Food, service, which production shows are running, what other artists happen? Will go on the 26th August, not too many sleepless nights left.

Well, I guess I would still be best off with good ol´ Celebrity if they would not be on a "why not ask triple the prices from Pre-Covid and offer half the quality?" rampage these days... Was on QM2 in May @vjmatty - surprisingly better than my last Celebrity cruise, especially the food around the ship. Was not expecting that. I like to go watch and listen to good party when local Christopher Street Day Parade is in town, but I might have been raised a bit too old fashioned to spend 10 days or so in the middle of a continuous CSD @Abercrombie2019 . But enough of the off topic - I have booked Sun Prncess for October 24 and I seem to have booked a category with about the least flaws on the ship, so... GO PRINCESS 😄

This is just to let fellow cruises know that the following shore excursion is inaccurate: Destination Highlight: Coast of Cinque Terre and Portovenere There is NO going to Forza d´Agro - the town is more than 1000 kilometres away. This tour ends in Monterosso al Mare, from where a train ride back towards La Spezia needs to be survived. Agent on the phone said this will be corrected asap.

Average earners getting pushed by cruise lines to choose either WhamBamBoogie-KidsIncluded cruises or spend a half year salary to go on ultra luxury ships and have a real cruise. Future is interesting.

Are cruise bookings usually refundable in the US? I mean you will get your full deposit back if you cancel? Wow, we don´t get that here in Germany.

Why mind about what is on the roof when going there is no must. I guess the Park19 will not be built over the pool or block the sun. I am more worried about the whole thing turning into an RCL experience. I have just turned my back on Celebrity for Princess. May it not be to my regret.

Haven´t done Celebrity for 12 months now. Last time on Equinox was filled up with bad food like 75 % out of MDR nights. However the production show cast was great. Celebrity is nothing close to what they used to be only 10 years ago. But I did Anthem OTS once - and that was the worst cruise I have ever been on. By far. So I would still rather book X than RCL. But sadly, I booked Princess for the first time now.

And I have already been wondering what they would do with all the highest decks. Now it´s clear. Now wondering if that will be an overall upscale experience or more like RCL. I did AnthemOTS once, and it was horrible. Howeever, I have a feeling I will love my stateroom.

With every new detail surfacing, I feel more happy with being on deck 11. You hardly ever go wrong with a stateroom on a deck somewhere up and between. I might try the Infinity thing. They have that on Burj Khalifa, it's a thrill.

I usually get a lot of backlash when I say the partial refurbs performed on the S-Class are ridiculous, but I say it again. When I stay on a deck in my CC stateroom and go visit fellow cruises one deck below, I am sitting in some outdated redish thing that feels like I am sitting inside a 90s carpet store. I wish I was Jeff Bezos and a massive X supporter...

Just wrote in another thread - I have just exited X for the first time, going straight to Sun Princess. Fed up Nemanoxer is.

Making a complex issue simple, surely without the intention to offend any fellow cruisers: Why would I care about my customers as long as I can be sure that they care more about some fancy machine hanging over the water that they can brag about after the cruise, than they care about top notch food, superb service and feeling well on older but super taken care of ships? People keep booking Celebrity like crazy no matter what. For the first time in my crusing life, I have kicked X out of my plans now. I will try Sun Princess next year. To close this post on a more objective note: I hope the new CEO is no longer all about the bling only. How I would personally find out? If one day someone tells me X has fired up a real and full out refurbish of the S-Class - then I would believe someone is back in reality. That ship class is the best X has to offer, my opinion only.

Choosing of shore excursions is always the least fun part of a cruise for me. I am from Germany, so flying into Nice and explore the region is not very hard to do if I want to go again. However, always nice to have stuff organized by people who know what they are doing.

Sounds like I have to choose between going to the more laid back countryside or seeing Monaco. So sad.

So, I will go to Cannes in late August. I am not interested in Casinos -should I book a Monaco tour, anyway? But I am also very interested in seeing and smellng Grasse. Sadly, Celebrity does not offer a tour combining both. Or is all of that wasted tourist trapism, and should I just take the opportunity and go on a small villages tour to Eze and others? Or maybe skip all ship tours and get a rental car to get around? Any input / inspiration is much appreciated.

After all, Cabana guests should have... well... their own Cabana to stick to if they find the assigned space too packed. I´m starting to imagine me on my deck 12 balcony looking down to the Cabana deck with reserving towels flying away and people getting into arguments 😁

CA on deck 12 - also promised access to the Cabana perks, special restaurant etc.

Well, that is not everywhere on deck 9. Still bad enough for those who are there. Unless they are able to give a frigg about it. I was also tempted to book deck 10 instead, but thought deck 9 will be very lively in the later evening. So I went up to 12, hoping eventual noise mixes with the ocean's.

Note to less experienced cruisers: Always check out the deck plan before you find yourself in a cabin that eventually frustrates your expectations. Lucky enough, I had a brilliant TA before I started organizing cruises all by myself. Hope y´all be happy with your staterooms. I´m paying a shoot load of money this time and hope that deck 12 CA cabin is gonna be worth it. If not, I´ll go back to booking NCL inside studios 😄. Those are actually pretty good, btw.
