Thank you for all the responses ,answers seem to vary from cruise to cruise. This seems to be true on various issues like boarding experience, cabin service, etc.

On recent cruises was there a Mariner reception on boarding day was it limited to a certain level?

On our vacations, the hotel is basically a place to sleep, with most of our activities outside the hotel. Cruise is entirely different, the ship is a major part of the vacation experience. cutbacks here are far less acceptable.

If group is large enough, they might take over part of MDR. On one of our cruises late set seating was not available.

Small containers of cosmetics, toothpaste, shave cream, etc. If possible,, some old underwear that can discard, minimize number of shoesAt our age, mandatory medicine. -
On a dress up night , do you ever wear heels? If you wear heels, are you more inclined to wear hose?
