  1. E-mail them at -

    diving@tikaye.com

Thank you, I did after I posted here and they emailed me back pretty quickly. Now on their web site it says snorkel gear included and in the email it says it is for rent.

Lunch is included but says 2 soft drinks, appetizer and main course or main course & dessert.

Now hubby thinks that is not per person because it doesn't say that, I on the other hand think it is per person and just not worded right.

    Anyone know for sure?

  2. How do you book the Day Pass? I checked online where it explains the Day Pass but when trying to book it there are only room reservations.

Am I totally just not seeing it or do you just contact them, or, do you go there and purchase?

Maybe too early in the morning LOL, need more coffee! ;)

Just emailed them for information on how to go about getting a Day Pass and hoping for reply soon, last minute changes on our previous choice

  3. We have eaten both breakfast and dinner at Orozco's. Out the door of the Marriott to the Right and it is on the left side of the street. Great cafe con leche and dinner sometimes has live music.

    Thank you :)

I see on the map where Starbucks is but wanted to check out something different as we have Starbucks down the street here at home ;)

Will have to try it out for sure!!

  4. It is that time, well almost after 457 days of waiting!

We arrive in SJ around 4PM April 25th and have 2 pre-cruise days in SJ. Board Valor the 27th

Looking for places to eat breakfast and/or dinner with walking distance around Marriott Stellaris, at least breakfast and good coffee ;)

Anyone recommend any "must eat" places we will be sorry later if we didn't try?

    Last minute planning LOL

    Thanks :)

  5. Reading your story and dilemma had me cry, really cry.

I don't even know you but can empathize with your emotional stress, thoughts and worries.

All I could think in reading your worries is: He is here, he is STILL here with you and your family. Many don't make it. Your soul mate is here with you and you need to GO and ENJOY your life with your family on this wonderful cruise vacation.

You never know what can happen in a split second dear worried soul.

Let it go and make this a wonderful time for you all. Let go of your worries, feel the freedom of vacation and love every moment. <3

  6. Going on the Valor April 27th :D

Booked airfare with SW from KC the morning they released the dates needed, literally was up 5:30am the time and day the dates were released and was booked & paid 3 minutes later.

Our price:$703 for two r/t, a week or two later I checked as I did a mock booking and price had gone up to $940!

We booked our cruise in Jan -13 and it has been a very long time waiting but in just a little over 2 weeks we will be on our way. :)

  7. With any trip planned, we book a year and a half or so out. Now why would I pay upfront for something not happening in so long?

I prefer down payment and paying it off gradually and make full payment when it is due.

Like paying in full for a car but you won't get it for another year or so? I know, silly comparison, but that is what came to mind :D

I wish airlines would do the same, if I want to go home to visit family in Sweden and bring my daughter, I have to pay up front for plane tickets no matter if is a year out. That's a lot of money, especially going home high peak season. Last year it would have been $3000. Yes, I could save up for it but paying down payment to secure trip would be nice and then pay off like a cruise.

  8. I can't remember where I read about it but it said they freeze leftover food, chop into little pieces and drop in to water out at sea.

I don't recall what cruise line or anything but was fascinated as it gets recycled.

Has anyone else heard this and know more details maybe?

  9. We had aft on both Legend and Triumph (4232 & 7433)

Not breezy at all and could be a lil warm but we enjoy the wake and peace & quiet.

Early bird so I get my roomservice coffee in the morning and I sit out there before dawn breaks.

The walk back isn't more then walking off some of all that food ;)

Next upcoming trip we splurged on the aft wrap on Valor and can't wait to sit outside watching the wake again!

No soot that I can remember on the other ships really.

  10. I prefer booking early sometimes up to 14 months out :) Can pick my cabin and location, which now happens to be Aft balcony all the way, this next trip is an Aft wrap. Had to try it at least once.

Gives us something to really look forward to in those dragging on work weeks ;)

  11. I have seen several posts about the not so pretty water in Progreso and really don't understand why this is said. We just got off the Triumph and while in Progreso we took the free shuttle in to town and walked the beach and to me the water is gorgeous, green turquoise color and even if not blue as in Cozumel, I still was baffled as I was expecting brown color seeing all the posts beforehand

Maybe it's just me but I thought it was totally gorgeous :)

  12. We watched RC NoS and Magic finally arrive yesterday afternoon. Passengers waiting to board said NOS was leaving at 7pM and Magic At 9 Pm. Do not know if that really came about.

We're boarding Triumph today for our cruise but it is looking the same outside now at 5am as yesterday morning. Just have to wait for alerts to phone from Carnival.

On a good note, i was first in line to sign up for 1pm late check out, thanks to being an earlybird :)

  13. We set up our account cash and pay the gratuities when we set up the account onboard first day after boarding and make sure the tips are taken out as we set it up.

Not stiffing anyone at all, just like it set up that way. I would never take tips off for any reason.

Each to their own discretion though having a daughter making $2.13 an hour as a server and have people buy dinner for $60 and give her a $2 tip is ridiculous, or worse, working a double shift and 4 tables stiffed her on any tip at all. No, not bad service, she is the best one they have, polite, quick, nice, refills etc etc. (best from mgmt. speaking) and still get stiffed.

Her saying is it sucks, but just maybe they only could afford to eat for the money they had and no extras for my tip. :)
