  1. I am a Select Captains Club member through a Royal Caribbean status match.  I will be on the Beyond in January 2024 and have a few questions on the discounts. I see on the website these items.

    • 25% off Wi-Fi Package or Wi-Fi upgrade
    • One standard bag of laundry at discounted price
    • 10% off Drink Package or upgrade to Premium pre-cruise
    • 10% discount at The Spa

Is the 25% WI Fi discount available onboard or can it be purchased in advance. If in advance is it off the non-discounted price on the cruise planner or on the discounted price?

Same question with the drink package. If I purchase the classic I can upgrade to the Premium at no cost? Do I have to purchase the basic at full price or doe the upgrade apply to any cruise planner sales?

Not sure if this matters, we are booked in Aqua Class

Thank you for any information you can provide

  2. New to Celebrity, am Emerald level on RC and matched to Select on Celebrity.

Not sailing with any children in case that matters.

Looking to book the Beyond for early 2025 10 night sailing. Wondering if we should take the inclusive package with the classic drink option, the upgraded one or none at all.

We are thinking of booking Aqua Class as we are traveling with other family and what they prefer to book.

As Select level, I see I receive these items.

    • 25% off Wi-Fi Package or Wi-Fi upgrade
    • One standard bag of laundry at discounted price
    • 10% off Drink Package or upgrade to Premium pre-cruise
    • 10% discount at The Spa

How does the discount on Wifi work, it is applied to the inclusive packages? Sometime applied in advance or once onboard.

Same question on the drink package for the discount noted above.

Anyone know the cost of the Wifi? I do need to check email daily as I run a small business.

My husband likes his espresso in the morning, a couple of glasses of wine in the evening. I like a couple of cocktails but we are not huge drinkers. Is the package worth it or pay as we go? Currently the package is pricing at $2800 more than not including it, based on today's prices.

Anything else I am missing / forgetting to think about?

Thank you in advance for any information and guidance.

Could someone tell me if there a lot of gluten free choices on board?

Also, how the mask and social distance protocols are followed?  If possible?

    TIA

I was onboard in November and there were plenty of choices at Windjammer, everything was labeled for vegetarian, gluten free, vegan, etc. there was a section of gluten free desserts too. I am not GF and not sure about dining room option, I would assume yes as most cruise lines now offer options. Let your servers know.

I see you book future cruises while on board the current one. Are there any cost savings or OBC to be had doing it that way, instead of booking at home with a TA? Also, can we book at Next Cruise and somehow transfer it to a TA later? We have a TA we like, and I would rather let her deal with OBC, FCC and rebooking to save money, etc.

You can let them know when booking with the Next cruise desk you wish to still work with your current TA that was on the booking you are traveling on. Easy as that. If for some reason they do not list your TA you have 30 days to transfer the reservation to her.

  5. Not sure if anyone mentioned this, the ships can miss ports due to weather as well. If that doesn't sit well with you then maybe cruising is not for you. The reason the person on the phone at Royal reservations didn't mention it is because they cannot predict what may happen next week, let alone 7 months from now. Currently everyone needs to be flexible with expections or wait until a later time. The weather reason can happen any time.

They couldn't dock at Coco Cay the other day due to high winds and the waves going over the dock so it wasn't safe to.

May I ask which category stateroom you bid on? Was it $30 per person? I put in a number of bids that were close to minimum for my cruise at the end of February. Trying to be optimistic

I am in no way an expert on the bid options but from what I have noticed is that lower bids are accepted if they do not get a lot of higher bids for the same category. So its a gamble. If you are just bidding but happy with where you are then bidding low is great. If you really, really want something I would try bidding higher but of course all personal preferences.

People on my role call on the book of faces started receiving their notices today that they had won their royal up bid. We are still 25 days from sailing. I have never heard of anyone finding out this early. My bid is still locked but I haven't gotten anything yet and my card has not been charged. As of this afternoon their were still 8 grand suites available for my sailing.

On our 1/29 Odyssey they assigned the GS and higher suites last. not sure if that will be the same for you. They did the JS, ov balcony, ov in that order according to post from our group.

If we bring a plastic carafe, is there a way to fetch very hot water to bring back to our cabin? From Cafe Promenade? From Windjammer? Any other way I'm not aware of?

May want to bring something which will keep water hotter than a plastic carafe. I would think the plastic will not be insulated enough? Guessing since I am not sure of the actual type you will use. Or fill it with hot water to heat it up then refill it with hot water so you don't immediately drop the temperature

  9. Free clothes pressing on first formal night. Have to provide the garments in the morning by, I think 9:30am, and they will have them back by 5pm.

You can order from the Main dining room menus to eat in your room if you wish. During normal dining room hours.

Just checked my Cruise Planner for a Royal Up on a Feb. 6 departure.  It shows a change in the stateroom (upgrade from inside to balcony), but it's not in my docs or luggage tags yet.  Does anyone know how long it takes to upgrade that?  Also because I moved a sailing to book this one, it is not showing correct sailing in the app, but I'll worry about that when I get onboard.

From what I have read it can take a few days for the luggage tags to update. I am on day two of the upgrade from a bid and still shows my old luggage tags. I sail 1/29 and will reach out on Monday if not yet updated by then. If all else fails I will get the tags from the porters when I arrive.

On the app you can choose a new sailing / ship, not sure if you have tried this and see if that helps.

  11. Can you see your cruise on the app? Reason I am asking is that "for me" this happened when they "accidentally" cancelled my cruise due to a computer glitch they said. I would check the app and if you do not see it there, call your TA or Royal if you booked directly.

Upgraded this morning before 8am from Large Ocean Balcony to Crown Loft Suite on 1/29 sailing of Symphony. Paid a little over min bid. Definitely made my day!! Was in pending for 2 days with my two other bids expired. Looks like a lot of JS were upgraded as well as number available went way down.

Wow congrats on our 1/29 Odyssey (yes different ship) was not given any options above 2b GS. Would have loved to try for a loft suite. Happy with our ov balcony to GS bid accepted.
