Another question about the wording. When I pull up my account on my laptop and see the packages purchased, it names the beverage, Wi-Fi, gratuity package that we bought. It names our TA and the last column says Complimentary Gift. Does it always say that or did the TA gift us that?? Thank you!

On my account is has always said "complimentary gift"......nothing to worry about. If you bought and paid for it, then no, your TA did not gift it to you.

What are the dates of the two cruise?  Is one prior to 2/20 and the other after 2/20?

They are both after 2/20; so I would expect the wording to be the same on both, yet they are not.

This is what shows on my Onboard Services tab......75/85 ??  Confused.
    Any ideas?

75/85, that is even more confusing.

Is this on your travel summary ?  I have multiple cruises booked for 2023, first one in March and all of them just say Plus Beverage Package

The difference in wording shows up if I look at the "Onboard Services" tab.

When I look at the Travel Summery there is still a slight difference in wording.

    Travel Summery

First Cruise: Plus drinks with service charge

    Second cruise: Plus Beverage Package

I am just scratching my head as to why the same package would have different wording.

  4. We have 2 cruises booked for next year and both have the Plus Package included (booked before the change). This is the old package, not the new one. When looking at my cruises I noticed that the beverage package was worded a little differently.

First cruise: Plus Beverage Package Including Service Charges

Second cruise: Plus Beverage Package - 50

Anyone else notice this? And does it mean that they are different. I have had the "Plus" package before, so know what was included (before the change and increase in price).

  5. So many times I read on forums that on a closed loop such as a R/T out of Ft. Lauderdale one can use a government issued B/C. And many times it can be used, BUT, not always......sometimes on those itinerates a passport book is required.

Just this December we did a R/T out of Ft Lauderdale on a Caribbean itinerary and a passport was required. It was stated very clearly in our documentation. Please read your official documentation; don't just depend on some strangers opinion.

Thanks, I am looking at November 2023 on Caribbean Princess. I have checked multiple dates and guarantee is the only option showing across all categories I have looked at which I find really odd

I did some checking for that date and ship.....premium balcony, aft facing. On the 14 day they were all guarantee, however on the 7 day there were some cabins available on Baja deck. I have noticed that on the longer cruises (ones that can be a B2B) Princess only holds so many available on the 14 day cruise.......the rest are for the 7 day cruise. A person can do a B2B and still get the same cabin (if they are lucky).

So there is no where on the ship to get a book or leave one behind?

Also talk to your steward, they will take your books and give them to other crewmembers that like to read.

just off  the Enchanted...the  expresso martin in  the Cronners bar  was  $15.

Was just off the Ruby (plus package only).........and I wasn't charged extra for it. Maybe the server or bartender was just being nice to me and didn't charge me the difference.

Not the espresso martini. I believe that one is $15.But most martinis, except for a few, are included in the Plus package

I had the "Plus" package, and was not charged anything extra when I ordered the "expresso" martini. While I could be wrong, I think the "expresso" martini is in the $12 and under range.

  10. Even though "Key Line" martini is no longer on the menu, I was able to order it.

Below is a image that I think is of the "Baked Alaska" martini.....I know we ordered it at the same time we ordered a "Dirty Banana", if I remember correctly the martini was good.

Yes they did!  I am owed $231.50. But why zero it out?  I’m guessing I’m  going to have to fight them for my $231.

I have been through this several times on recent cruises and Princess has always sent me the amount that they have shown on the "referred to corporate finance" line of your folio.

If you haven't received your $ in 6 to 8 weeks, then start your inquiries.........

The first line specifically says non refundable. The second just says referred to corporate finance and is over $400 which is way too much for me to get back. And both are under charges, not credits.

The "referred to corporate finance" amount is the amount (in form of a check) that is going to be mailed back to you........hopefully it won't take more that 8 weeks to get to you.

We just got off of our cruise and have over $300 coming to us......just in time for Christmas!

  13. About 3 weeks ago I noticed changes to my flight numbers and flight times when I checked them on the airline web site. After making note of the changes, I went to the Princess site to see if they updated their information......and as of today they still haven't. In the past (at least for me) Princess has updated any changes to my flights in a timely manner; not so this time. Tis a good reminder to always check the airline web site.

Does anyone know why Panama canal cruises not included in this? We have a 15 day cruise from FLL to LAX.

We just did the San Francisco to Ft Lauderdale via the Panama Canal this last spring and while the Princess web site indicated that we would be tested some time during the cruise, that didn't happened.

However, when we got to the port for Panama City, the Panama authorities wanted everyone to have a covid test. The cruise line got that number down to 80 people (this is what we were told). Anyway, because of this most people got to their excursions 2 hours late.

So, from what we experienced, I am going to guess that it might be something that the Panama authorities want.

  15. I cancelled a cruise and told Princess that I wanted the FCC'S from the cancelled cruise applied to a different cruise. The FCC's showed up in my Princess personlizer (I think that evening) quickly. However it took several phone calls by my TA to get things straightened out and FCC'S applied to the other cruise. Time wise......6 days.

Personally, I think many of the Princess agents are new with not much experience.......so they are not of much help with something a little bit complicated.

    • ln regards to stateroom E732 on Emerald Princess:

Has anyone here had this stateroom?   What did you think of the location?  Would you book it again?  Did you experience any noise/vibration from Club Fusion when trying to sleep or during the day?  Did anyone experience any issues with not being able to enjoy this balcony due to cigarette smoke from the below promenade deck?

    Thanks so much!

I have been in D732 on the Emerald Princess and had no problems with noise from the lounge. However, I did read a post (somewhere on this forum) from someone who was on the Emerald deck in the same location and they complained about the noise.

If you can, move up one deck to Dolphin deck and you should be far enough away to no be bothered by the noise from the lounge.

  17. Yes, you can use the phone in your cabin to set up a "wakeup" call. Unless you are in cabin C742 on the Caribbean Princess and that option didn't work. I would press "wakeup" call and would get a message stating that that menu didn't exist. After going to "Passenger Services" 3 times to see if they would send someone to fix the phone (they never did) I was given a "work around".

Sooooooo if you find yourself in that situation here is the "work around". Dial 130 and then when prompted dial your time in that you want to be woke up.

  18. You might have to resend your military information again. Last year there were some posts from veterans that they had to do this........I know we had to. I don't know if it was something with their system or if it was something they wanted you to do every 10 years.

    Thank you for your service!
