I was pretty confident that Alaska would still carry on as Quantum would eventually leave SG. Can't wait for Spectrum, already booked on her for May 19th in Sky class! So excited 🙂
Sea you there.😍

Looks like she's done hanging around Hong Kong and she's headed to her next home port.
Yes, she left Hong Kong yesterday, and is expected to arrive in Singapore on March 9th.:)

has anyone seen this when bidding? I am on the 2/26 Symphony sailing. Currently have a boardwalk balcony cabin. I have minimum bids on a JS, a spacious OV balcony, and an ultra spacious oceanview balcony. I can adjust the JS and Ultra. Get this message for the spacious. I haven't seen this before. I am 0 for 3 on these post covid sailings with bids as I bid the least amount. I have been getting notified my bid was denied when sitting at the Windjammer for breakfast on day 2. I haven't seen this inability to adjust one bid. All my bids are pending.
No, but that is the Company that does the RoyalUps. It's not RCI.

Per Crown & Anchor, gentleman named Otto, said yesterday that certificates "must be used 6 months after attaining Pinnacle and we are currently working on allowing the certificates to be used beyond the one year expiration date." When I asked when...he said "soon".
I have just applied a Pinnacle Certificate for the 3rd time (cancelled Cruises).
It was extended twice, as we have had 2 seasons cancelled in Australia, and we couldn't leave the country until 2 months ago.
I had to email 'Executive Escalations', after I didn't heard back from C&A (a whole month).
They approved it, even though the cruise is after the current sail by date.TP in October, if it goes ahead.:)
Edit to say the Certificate comes with the other stuff.- 1

Any thoughts on when Fall 2023 Transpacific, Australia and New Zealand may open up? Nothing on the schedule.
April 2023, if it doesn't get delay as it usually does.
Quantum 23/24 Brisbane sailings from the new Brisbane International Cruise Terminal have appeared on their website.:)

My agent has given me a few links for doing some research on COVID-19 related formalities.
Ive had a bit of a look at doing a cruise on spectrum out of Singapore and a look at the USA for Navigator, possibly Allure or Ovation.
Singapore at this time looks pretty complicated and the US is a breeze.
A cruise out of Singapore looks like a HEAP of paper work plus minimum of 5 Covid tests and the US is just a test before your flight .Has anyone had a bit of a look at the requirements?
I have done extensive research on flying to Singapore & cruising, when we are allowed.
I will be ready.
And now that Spectrum is going there, I'll be making multiple trips.:) -

Not true. When my DD turned eighteen she retained our status and our points. Before she turned eighteen we cruised without her seven times and she will be turning Diamond plus on our next cruise with us since she has cruised with us the last three times. All of our points are 167. (Since she could afford to pay for herself). My younger DD will age out as Diamond+ and she will not be on this upcoming cruise.
It's true. When you go on your next cruise and YOU turn Diamond Plus, she will not.

This is our favourite category of Suite.
I would book mid range for the Suite benefits, especially Concierge Lounge access & free drinks.
And I already get most of them, including free drinks.:) -

Did Legend Of The Seas ever do a world cruise?
I thought she was on a world cruise the first time Royal Caribbean visited Australia.
Yes, she did. 2001 or 2002? She was the 1st RCI ship to come to Australia.
I don't know the details. -

I'll continue to always watch for the Singapore-Shanghai itinerary or the reverse...It was one of our favorites !!!!
One of our favourites as well.
This one is being extensively advertised by online TA's here, and will be full of Aussies.
Our favourite ship as well, but we are already booked elsewhere..:(
EDIT:Sorry, I thought it went to China. Must be a different one.

This all changed recently.
Kids now get all of the same benefits of Diamond that adults get.
Yes, some parents are using their kids vouchers to get alcoholic drinks for themselves. -
You do not lose your deposit.
You would receive an FCC for each person, that you could then use on the rebooked cabins.
You need to decide if it's worth the hassle. -

As much as I would like that to happen,I cant see how. Dec 17th is the earliest the govt. “may” lift the ban and unless Royal had the heads up beforehand ( and the govt don’t even seem interested in talking to the cruise industry) it would take at least a month to reschedule ships, crew, provisions etc and get them out here. I have not spoken to anyone from our office in a while but I am sure if something was happening I would have heard.
PS.Would be interested in knowing who the “ little birdie” is and how they would know.🤔🤔Some one on social media, who says their relative works there. They didn't say who.

Interestingly Silversea have cancelled their Australia/NZ season over the last few weeks, and have just released a whole new set of cruises from 21st December to February for Aust/NZ residents only.
Again subject to approval, but do they know something?
Interesting that they haven't advised me.
We have a domestic cruise with them in January.
We are due to pay the balance next week, so we shall see. -

I know how you. (and everyone else) feel . I called the OPT “ home” for six months of the year . Bring on the 💉💉💉💉💉.
A little birdy told me that OPT RCI staff have been told they are back at work in December.
Care to comment? -
Spectrum has just met up with Voyager in Hong Kong.
Some crew transferred from Voyager to Spectrum, for her restart in October.:)

We have found on all of our Asian cruises, that there is a lot of Asians dishes, which we love.
But there is always the standard menu as well.
And as soon as the ships leave Asian waters, they revert back to the standard menus. -
We always do 10.30 - 11am, and we've never had a problem, or had to rush.
Hate waiting at Sydney airport.
Cheers
