  1. On our 7 nighter, we were able to work our way through the entire menu! Favorites were Mr B, Tanned Russian, Lucky Cat. Be careful if you are the last one on the bottle of Scorpion, as they will garnish your Scorpion's Kiss with exactly that, straight from the bottom of the bottle! I screamed when I found it in my drink, everyone got a big kick out of it, then a fellow guest popped it in his mouth and it was gone!:eek:

  2. We asked and were able to order multiple items that we shared, for example, we order the Chateaubriand for 2 and were able to each have the tableside lobster to go with. We did not order every course and we try to avoid sweets so we split a dessert. Of course, we finished everything we ordered (I hate waste!!) and repeated this several nights. Murano was hands down, our FAVORITE! You should absolutely try this on your honeymoon cruise! We cant wait to see pics!!

  3. I booked the summit for January 2015 several months ago. Today, my TA was able to get me my AQ1 for AQ2 price, add the beverage package and also get me the bonus points for booking. I might add that the price of this cruise did not fluctuate AT ALL since we began looking at it last summer. We are very happy with both Celebrity for allowing and our TA for asking for these adjustments! They have made already satisfied cruisers even more so!! :):):)

  4. Classic covers all the basics, but if you want drinks from the Martini bar or Molecular bar, you should upgrade. The price of the upgrade is equal to just one drink in either bar, and well worth the money, not only for the selection, but for the piece of mind. We upgrade every cruise.

  5. My BFF *just* returned from the Galapagos cruise with tours of Machu Pichu, etc. She says it was a once in a lifetime experience, and she was so thankful to have had the opportunity. This is a gal that thinks camping is a room at the Holiday Inn.....she prefers Ritz Carlton-like digs.....said she would do it again in a heatbeat, and after viewing all of her photos, it is now at the TOP of my cruise bucket list!! Give it some consideration, I don't think you will be sorry!!

  6. My Summit AQ1 aft is the exact same price today as it was when I booked it in June, with the last promo, and unless they raise the price in the next 48 hours, its a win for those of us that booked early as well as friends that waited to 'see the price drop'.......

  7. They can see the part of your balcony that is exposed but not the part that is under the overhang. The AQ aft balconies have a bit of both. Also, the deck above is never very used, so few people are there to look down on you. People from the Sunset bar can see up to you balcony, but again, only the part by the rail, unless you are in 1133 or 1130, then they can see most of your balcony. 1138 and 1141 have good privacy and 1140 (biggest, in the middle) has the most privacy. DH wants to rig a bucket on a rope to requisition beers from the bar on our next trip in 1141! His plan is to dangle over the bar with his Seapass card and a 'send beer up' note.......he's not kidding.....;)

  8. I apoligize in advance...

I can't believe all the whining on here. I am not talking about the individuals just being dissapointed and expressing it....

I have an upcoming cruise in Dec, I honestly hope that I won't have anybody come to me and complain & whine about the Captain's club changes during the cruise.... it would get me really mad!

The system seems fair to me. When we think about it, the loyalty program is such a small percentage of the experience. It's not the thought of having a couple of free drinks... internet or laundry that will change anything to my cruise experience. I could even care less about having a title (Elite plus, zenith or whatever) to make me feel special or better! (I am already special ... haha)

I don't understand some people that will take something very small and make it soooo huge that their whole experience become a disaster!

I plan in having a wonderful cruise... I am sure I will have so many great memories to tell upon my return and my cruise experience with Celebrity will be amazing as usual.

Well said! Who cares?!? I don't plan on doing the laundry or being on the internet! Its vacation! I do that crap at home all the time! I want to meet fun people, eat, drink and dance!

  9. I thought Qsine would be my favorite, but I LOVED the Lawn Club grille. The food is simple, clean, grilled items, good salad bar, great flat breads and desserts, but to sit outside at night with a Caribbean breeze and see the water and the sky was just magic. We returned several more times throughout the week. If Oscar is still there, he is a wonderful server that had us laughing the whole time!

Qsine was fun, but there were only 2 of us so we had to cancel the majority of our order because the first few items were so filling. It was the only night I felt like I needed to go change to comfy clothes, lol! Also, the food items were gimmicky; sushi lollipops are rolled in Doritos?? Why ruin a good piece of Ahi with junk food??? You will have a good time no matter the choice, but for me, its Lawn Club, hands down!! Enjoy the Reflection; we sure did!!

  10. Great review and Thanks! We did St. Kitt's on the Reflection last year and we are doing the other 5 port offering on the Summit soon, staying in AQ aft on 11. Saw that you are from the Isle of Charlotte:). How did you get to San Juan? We are near the Isle of Wilmington:D and are debating flying ILM to Charlotte or driving to the Isle of Raleigh:) and flying from there. We have to fly the same day that we sail...how long to get there for you and which airline??

  11. You will have a fine time! The perks associated with the loyalty program are not a big deal; some free cocktails, drycleaning or laundry, free internet(I cruise to GET AWAY from the computer!) etc. You will certainly not 'stick out' due to this being your first cruise with Celebrity. You will meet great people, both Captain's Club members and not, and you will have a great time; great food, great ship, great service!

  12. WE have friends sailing with us in April that have had a few unfortunate months lately. Due to a death in the family, they have assumed a second mortgage along with several other costly responsibilities. They are concerned that if this second house does not sell, they may have to cancel their cruise. Is it possible for them to change from a sky suite to an OV and keep their 123? This would save several hundred dollars, then if they drove to FL rather than fly (10 hour trip) that would save around $660 more....just trying to find a way for this deserving couple to take a break!! BTW, final pay is not until February. Thanks for your advice!!
