  1. 2 determining factors: Will the weather be nice enough to spend time on the balcony and do you mind that it is a very long walk to get anywhere from your cabin? We had an SV on the Reflection in the Caribbean, but we really didn't spend time on the balcony because it was much smaller than what we had experienced on the M- class ships, and also because there was so much to do outside of the cabin that we were never there. The sunset bar and the Lawn Club in general provides a lot of relaxing space and great aft views, so if you can save some money and book a C3, you can use the savings for a Specialty restaurant or anything else that interests you.

  2. Upgraded to premium package yesterday and it's already shown on our Celebrity reservation! $11:50 per person per day including tips so if it goes up once we get aboard it will not matter We figure $161:00 is a real good deal to cover anything we would desire in the beverage department!

If you are sailing an S-class ship, then just one drink per day at the Molecular bar justifies the upgrade! ( I suggest several, they are all so good!!!)

  3. This is too wild--my husband and I will be in cabin 1138 when we sail oct 5! We had the same problem with the veranda door when we were on the Millenium in cabin 1133 last year. The dowel is a great idea!

Pack a bungee cord; you will find a place to hook it and the door will not keep slamming. It is an easy fix! We will be in 1138 for 2 Summit trips and 1 Constellation, so we have some tricks up our sleeves!

  4. And part 2, some really nice ones imho:

Not sure which looks better, that fabulous Rare Ahi or the double cheese burger from the Mast Grill!!!! I don't know what they do, but those burgers are to die for!!!

  5. Holy Moly! So basically, what you are telling us is that you were actually employed by the cruise line????? I am certain they paid you for all of that work! I got tired just reading!!!!!! I wonder if there are positions available on my next cruise.......might could use the extra $$$ for a massage, seeing as how I am in Aqua Deck 11 and THERE IS NO ELEVATOR! I have to walk down some 20 stairs to get to the Mast Bar. I KNOW my legs are going to be sore!

  6. Sailed on Celebrity Reflection in April and chose this over any of the ship sponsored excursions. We had Fab as our host, and Fab he was!! Such an incredible day, beautiful water, great food, cold beers, everything was perfect. We don't have another trip to there until Jan 2015, but chose the itinerary based on its stop on St Maarten. We will be boating with Captain Bob and his crew again!!

  7. I wanted to write and complain about the standards dropping on Celebrity, but when I rang the UK office to Ask if they would send a typist to my home and type it for me, guess what I was told ............".I would have to type it myself AND post it myself "

How dare they treat me this way

Wow......and we thought it was bad here in the States. Good luck to you, my friend, and be safe.

  8. Well what really got my goat was when they informed me that I could not fly my kite on "my" balcony. Really?? Next thing they say no water skiing in ships wake either .. And y'all teed off about the pepper mills.

Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app

We tried running lines off 'our' balcony and apparently, that is not allowed either!! What is Celebrity thinking?? Put a good southern man on a boat and of course he's gonna fish!!!! (....also no shooting at endangered animals in the Alaskan wilderness.....whatever!!)

  9. We sailed on the Reflection for her last Caribbean sailing prior to her TA. We had a blast! We didn't go to many shows, but instead ate at the Lawn Club Grill, a show in itself, and met so many great people that we spent time with at the Martini, Molecular and Sunset bar, and of course we danced until the wee hours of the morning! Now many guests on this sailing had booked with the 123 promo, so the alcohol was free flowing, but I did NOT see any ridiculous behavior. I think that promo attracted a more 'nightlife' type of passenger. There was more than enough fun to be had, and we loved the ship. The only negative was that it was so big (NEVER felt crowded) that we felt like we walked and walked and walked.....maybe that helped with the calorie burning after all of those great meals!

  10. Ship: Reflection

    Cabin: 6315

    Deck: 6

    Class: Sunset Verandah

    Area: Aft

    Bed: near balcony

    Quiet: VERY

Balcony View: Right off the back, unobstructed. Guests at Sunset could see us.

Size: Standard to small, not larger loke M-class Aft

    Wind: not really

Soot: A little on a few different days, but it was cleaned each time

Comments: Great cabin, AFT is very quiet. A bit of a walk to the elevators. Nice bathroom.

  11. Here are my 2 helpful hints/secrets: if you have a Classic beverage package, you must pay full price for anything not included in your package. If you have the premium package, you only pay the difference (over $12) if you order a select glass of wine or perhaps an aged scotch/single barrel bourbon. Next, if you would prefer 2 appetizers, a steak and lobster tail, then an assorted dessert platter to share with your table, just order it. They never say no!!! Have fun, everyone!!

  12. Almost got thru the whole menu. Missed it by 2 or 3...Too many other bars and restaurants to try...Nice to hear from you.

We sailed shortly after you and we completed the Molecular Bar menu! I even wound up the one at the end of the Scorpion bottle that got the scorpion in my 'kiss'! Horrifying! We did the Ultimate Dining as well, Murano for both formal nights, Qsine 1 night, Tuscan once(cancelled the 2nd visit) and Lawn Club 3 nights. Would chose this option again in a heartbeat, but would skip The Tuscan Grill for another trip to Murano. We've been home for 2 weeks now and I still haven't been able to make a Tanned Russian the right way!!!
