  1. Last year, we booked a tour guide to pick us up at 8.30am and walked off at 8am. We could have gone earlier, however this was a closed group cruise. I have been through El Prat a few times. Usually a zoo, last year it took nearly 2 hours to get through check in and security (flying BA).
  2. The people of Barcelona speak Catalan, which is different from Spanish.
  3. Nearly every day at sea 😁 I am an early riser, partial to some day drinking while on holidays and out late. We also like to have wine with our lunch while onboard, so it is a nanny nap every day after lunch for me!
  4. Thanks I am aware of deployment across seasons. Yes my experience is with RCI, and in my experience menus are not the same. In 2022, Vision of the Seas from Barcelona MDR menu had additional items to cater to different tastes (for example, every night a savoury pie and Indian dish on the menu). Just because you have had a different experience does not invalidate my experience.
  5. Differences I have experienced from cruising to Caribbean ports include the markedly different ports of call and access to them, onboard dining menus, onboard shops stock and diversity of other passengers. Other people may have had a different experience.
  6. Cruising Iceland or the Med is not really a similar experience to cruising in the Caribbean
  7. I should have asked which ships might be deployed to Europe, and thanks for the Jewel tip.
  8. Has anyone ideas/intel about which ships will be doing Spring 2025 TAs? I know this will belong in the future deployment thread 😁, I am just keen to book a b2b and the pre TAs are out. There are a lot of possible options…..
  9. thank you! I was hoping for an Oasis class spring TA in 2025 😢
  10. Does anyone know what’s happening with Allure deployment? I can only see cruises until Jan 25.
  11. It has been a couple of years since I sailed Freedom, however I thought she was lovely! I understand what you are describing about feeling uncomfortable in Florida. There are mean people everywhere, but there are far more nice people, including Florida. Please do ask the staff onboard for as much help as you need, they are there to help and always kind. Back yourself @CatLadyFemme, you have achieved so much with your career, and you shine.
  12. Thanks so much for your review, looking forward to the next cruise 😁
  13. So sorry for the loss of your Dad, may his memory be a blessing.
  14. It has been my experience that the complimentary lobster has never been included on the MDR menus from Australia or Asia. It was on Vision med sailings last year though.
  15. we had this exact experience in September 2022. Barcelona has the most efficient cruise port and the worst airport!
