  1. Good morning everyone, hope you are all ok today. Its not a bad morning here, cloudy but fairly mild and no breeze for a change. We have visitors coming over today, they are arriving just before lunch hopefully. Our local butcher makes their own tapas dishes so hubby just gone there the get food for us. I won’t be watching trooping the colour as we have visitors but glad Princess of Wales is going. Have a nice day everyone Michelle
  2. We have, it is really nice and is my mums favourite place for afternoon tea Michelle
  3. Family holiday to Devon end June, Ashcombe Cottages near Dawlish. Got a pool and activities for the children too, there are thirteen of us going. We have a few big birthdays this year, son in law was 40 last Saturday, my mum is 90 in July and I am 60 in August and it’s my hubbys birthday while we are away. On my mums actual birthday we are having afternoon tea at a Clifton Arms Hotel in Lytham Michelle
  4. I hope your mum is ok too Sue. It’s my mums 90th birthday on 10 July so I want her to be well enough to celebrate Michelle
  5. Mum update - Dr sent her for an x-ray at local hospital but Radiologist though he was asking for wrong part to be x-rayed looking at her injuries so she rang Dr and I now have to take her to Blackpool Victoria Hospital in the morning for an X-ray. I then have to take her for a Dermatology appt tomorrow at a different Hosp and to top it all out dog has to go for a three month check up at the vets. I can see I am going to need a large glass of wine tomorrow night. Sadly everything seems to have changed for her this year. We go away on holiday in two weeks so I am hoping she will be well enough to go 🤞 Michelle
  6. Good afternoon everyone, it’s a sunny/cloudy day here, feels a bit cool though, car said 14 degrees when I was out late morning. Jane, it’s nice to see you posting again. Josy, I am glad that planning has been refused and you don’t have to move. Taking my mum for a check up at the Drs this afternoon, fingers crossed all is good. Michelle
  7. Lovely picture, looks very calm. My mum is doing well, she is quite bruised but not needing any painkillers. She is on a soft food diet for a couple of weeks. Michelle
  8. Thank you for posting the menu, there looks to be some good choices Michelle
  9. Love the flower pics especially the one with the cute dog Michelle
  10. Good afternoon everyone, hope you are all ok today. I have had a stressful couple of days. My mum (nearly 90) had a fall in St Annes on Weds, the front wheel of her Walker got stuck in small pot hole and she carried on walking and went flat on her face. To cut a long story short she dislodged her front teeth and has lots of facial bruising but she is ok. The dentist has moved her teeth back into place and has secured them with a wire for two weeks. I have seen her this morning, she is doing well but her face is badly bruised but she is fine in herself. On a different note the island for our kitchen and the new outside door arrived this morning, been fitted tomorrow. Have a nice weekend everyone Michelle
  11. Just about the standard of the food in the dining room and in any speciality restaurant really. I know not to expect Celebrity standard!!! Thank you Michelle
  12. Hi Eglesbrech, I am really glad I have found this thread to read about your experience on MSC. I have not sailed with MSC since 2017 when we were on Divina in the Caribbean. I booked an MSC cruise yesterday on Grandiosa, Feb 2026 out of Port Canaveral. We are going with my daughter and her hubby, his parents and our grandchildren. The grandchildren are so excited to be going to the Caribbean. We intend to spend a few days before in Florida. Thank you for writing daily updstes Michelle
  13. Good morning everyone, hope you are all well this morning. It’s a sunny/cloudy day here today, hubby says it feels cool out as well. I might take my mum for a stroll into Lytham this morning then it’s dog walking and a visit to the gym for me. Have a nice day everyone Michelle
  14. Good morning everyone, hope you are all ok today. It is hazy sunshine here in Lytham St Annes at the moment, forecast to get to 16 degrees today. We had some turf delivered yesterday so hubby is laying a lawn today. When we moved here last December the gardens hadn’t been touched for nearly two years so it’s going to be a major project to get them looking decent agsin. I am just doing the normal household jobs a d I might go to the gym. Have a lovely day everyone Michelle
  15. Good morning everyone, it’s a cloudy cool and breezy day here today. I am sat having a coffee at Sandcastle Water Park in Blackpool. It is busy already so I am glad I booked an early slot for them. Nothing planned for this afternoon, we might just go into Lytham Have a good day everyone whatever you are doing Michelle
  16. Good morning everyone, hope you are all ok today. It looks a cloudy day here and periods of intermittent rain are forecast. I am collecting three of our grandchildren this morning. I am on grandma duty Tuesday to Thursday as it’s half-term. I had a Tesco delivery last night as I know they will eat me out of house and home!! Hubby has been busy in garden all weekend building me a raised sitting area directly out of the conservatory with a slope down into the garden, it’s looking great and a massive help to me. Have a lovely day everyone Michelle
  17. Great news your sister is home Josy, hope everything goes ok for her in the future Michelle
  18. Same as you Avril, my gran was a cook in a mill owners house in Bradford and she taught me to cook and bake. I still cook her recipes Michelle
  19. We have managed to get some off her and we have cut some fur off where there was most paint. It was only last week I paid for her to be groomed!!! Michelle
  20. We do but probably won’t need it thankfully Michelle
  21. Richard has managed to get most of it off thankfully. The dog still has some white patches mainly on her feet and tail. House renovations still ongoing, new outside door and adjoining window arrive next week and an island for the kitchen in June. We have started on gardens but as they have not been touched for two years it’s an uphill task. Michelle
  22. It was gloss, Richard currently on the floor trying to get it off, new floor as well!! Only had it put down in January Michelle
