  1. Our friends in Quebec city are on a transatlantic on the Noordam and got an upgrade to a suite and have posed a question I can't answer.......we have not been in an X suite.....yet.

The question is what does "No-host mini-bar for easy entertaining" mean?

Is that just that you have a minibar and can use it to entertain by paying the cost of the beverages...............Or does the new X program include the beverages for suite passengers. ALSO, what other amenities will they get with the new programs for suite passengers?

Thank you to all those in the know.

The Noordam is Holland America, not Celebrity. The no host minibar is just a minibar that is pay as you consume and is not complimentary on Holland America and not yet complimentary on Celebrity until April and only for the top suites.

  2. See the other thread you already posted this question in.....:)

As to access, I found they just always recognized us by our face and greeted us by name when entering. there is no keycard access system...

Ha, yeah. I guess this was answered. I can be a bit spacey at times.

  3. We're traveling with 4 people in a PH and 2 in a Sky suite. I'm assuming those in a Sky Suite won't have access to Michaels? Or since they are traveling with us, can they be allowed in?

Also, at this point (before April, 2015), are there any other benefits of the Penthouse over the Sky Suite besides Michaels?

Haven't been on Celebrity for years, so I have no idea how access is granted or shown. Thanks for the input!

  4. Due to work reasons, I'll need to stay connected on our Europe trip on the Constellation. Two questions; is there an unlimited internet package available and/or or is it complimentary (yet) with a PH suite? Also, I know ships don't have blazing fast internet, but is the speed relatively fast? I'll need to mostly do emails, but may need to look at presentations too. Thanks for any input!

  5. We booked a guarantee Sky Suite and got one that we're happy with. However, I noticed there are a lot of Royal Suites still available for our trip in less than 2 months. Does Celebrity offer upgrades to people who booked guarantees or is there a chance we could move up? Just curious…Thanks!

  6. Here's a question I'm hoping someone can answer…Celebrity has a room guarantee for every room category that is much cheaper than if I select just single occupancy for the room because there is no guarantees for single occupancy rooms.

So my question is…if I book for 2 and don't have another person for the room, what happens when I check in? Does the phantom 2nd person just show as a 'no show'? I could just make up the credentials for guest #2…thoughts on this?

  7. I do like both Celebrity and HAL, but Celebrity is really stepping up the suite benefits and it seems like HAL's are starting to get stale and don't stack up nearly as well anymore. With Michaels Club converting to the new suite concierge lounge, this makes up for the lack of one on Celebrity. Anyways, I hope HAL considers implementing more suite benefits otherwise Celebrity may be more appealing to us in the future.

  8. In that case they will be expecting you and will take care of everything. They might even be able to hold the ship for a while if it's close.

Good to know. Thanks! I guess an agent would be waiting at the airport then even if our flight is very late?

  9. I would never do that either. You don't say where you are flying in from and your profile doesn't tell us where you live but we need at least two days to recover from jet lag. Why would you risk missing a day of your cruise? How long is your cruise.

It'll be a flight within Europe as we have a business trip before the cruise, so we should be fine with jet lag and the flight is about 3 hours.
