  1. I just received a call from Princess  Tech Support. They  have fixed the app that now  allows one to add documents (e.g.  passports etc) They had me login and I was able to reach the "Travel Documents" input page. To my surprise, it already has our passport photos from our Princess cruise last year. (yea) The only thing needed is to add our security photos. Hope this helps. 

     

    Timing:The first leg of our CB  b2b begins July 20, 2019. Second on July 27th. We were out 89 days when we first noticed the medallion on the Princess web site. So it took until now to resolve the issue at least for us. Note: they did have to reset our password to correct the document issue. You can again reset it to your old password.

     A tech can show you how to manually download.

    If there is a cellular signal I don’t know how there will be a roaming fee since it’s not connected to your cellular account. Best to call Medtronic. Phone number is available on the bedside monitor, devise manual, website or from your cardiologist’s tech.

    I also have a Linq (loop recorder) We when on b2b last year which included a transatlantic. I did not do anything different. I see my Cardio. DR  every six months.   He just downloads info from the device while I am in the office.   Yes I do have a Medtronic station next to my best at home.  I called those Folks : they said the upload station probable would not work on the ship or in international destinations. You might check to see when your info is transmitted daily etc.  All the best. Have a great cruise. Don't worry.

    The Folks at Princess also review these boards for comments etc. Writing or calling Princess maybe a good suggestion. Usually, when we enter our cabin we present the steward with a list of items that will make our cruise more enjoyable. An additional chair etc. will be on our list. Having booked three future cruises with Princess (because of the itinerary) I don't see any cancellations to another cruise line just for spite. Maybe we will need to pack a folding camping chair and a snack table.  P.S. I did my basic at Ft Campbell, KY (Home of the Screaming Eagles)

    If Princess wants to open things up/create more space, they should refit the balconies like the Celebrity Edge. I guess spending more money to create a better balcony cabin would go against enhancing the comfort/seating for their passengers. Got to get them out of their staterooms, to spend money on bingo, drinks, etc.

    Maybe Princess is creating a new category to increase revenue. Cabins WITH CHAIRS  or CABINS WITH OUT.We always use the little table and chair to eat our breakfast in the cabin. May have to use balcony furniture less they will also omit that. Another category: STANDING ROOM ONLY  or WITH AMENITIES.  I am not a happy camper.

  6. We have a B2B cruise starting in July. I called the Princess phone number listed on the Ocean Ready app. The OR Rep. said the Ocean Ready app would be available to accept reservation numbers 30 days prior to sailing date.

    You can insert photos at any time. Hope this helps.

There has been a number of comments about the Ocean Ready App. Maybe I missed, it but can someone provide some specifics as to when the Ocean Ready App accepts your reservation (booking number)?  Is it open for population once you make you final payment? Is it open at the  Princess  payment due date (e.g. 90 days out) ? or Is it available on a rolling calendar basis one or two months prior to sailing? Yes,  I am aware you can input some of your data pictures etc. now.  However, any thoughts re reservation numbers?

    One suggestion: If you have an older iPad with IOS (operating system) 9.2 or before, you may need to update to IOS 12. I lave an old iPad mini (first generation) and could not get the Ocean Ready app from the Apple Store. My new iPad with IOS 12 works fine. The newer apps now require IOS 12. Hope this helps

  9. We took advantage of the Cyber Monday $1 Deposit and booked a cruise to South America on the Coral.

    Looking at the deck plans it seems the layout is  a bit quirky. Having Horizon Court in the front of the ship seems odd.

    Appreciate comments from Folks who have sailed on the ship. Also, any problem with noise in the aft cabins on Baja deck just below

    the Youth Center?  Thanks

  10. I can live with the new Princess transfer policies if I know all the rules of the game before I play.,. Like many others, we usually book with Princess and then later prior to final payment transfer to a TA. What I fear might happen, say the Princess cruise price goes down after transfer to TA. Will the TA be able to reprice through Princess or our we now locked out of future Princess promotions and prices reductions?? "The unknowns we don't know"

  11. I just checked our b2b bookings for 2019 and found that the new Cyber Sale is not as good for us than the current booking via 3 for Free.

    On one booking the cabin price increased $50. On another booking, the price increased $100. Onboard credits not as rich . We originally repriced from Sip N Sale to 3 for Free.

    Maybe others will have better luck. For now, we will "Hold em"

    I agree, I checked the details on the app and it is for IOS 10.3 or later. My first generation iPad mini is now maxes out at iOs 9.2 or 3. Thanks for the "heads up"

    Thanks for the additional comments by Folks on this thread. I "Took the bull by the horns" and called the Princess Ocean Ready help number and found out the following:  

    1. Ocean Ready replaced Ocean Compass (Compass was more or less a beta when OM first started)

    2. Ocean Ready app for iPhone (only) available at Apple store.

    3. Tried same with my I pad and Ocean Ready app not yet available for Ipad. Confirmed same with Princess help line.

    4. Reservations going forward, Princess Rep. said reservations are being accepted into Ocean Ready now through the end of February. I tried my b2b in July/Aug 2019 and app would not accept. 

    5. I "assume" the Ocean Ready app will be open to additional reservations as we move forward in the calendar.

  14. Can you tell me if "Ocean Ready" is the same as "Ocean Compass"  We have a B2B on CB next year. If I go to Ocean Compass (we have set up an account, but it won't let me add a reservation number. Is "Ocean Ready" only available just before your cruise.?

    Any information you can provide will be appreciated.
