There have been some changes. You get the early embark/debark and now express luggage. I just checked my luggage tags for my next cruise and they show FTTF on them and we did not buy FTTF. That's the express luggage feature.
There was an article on cruise critic that said suites also now get a bottle of water and one bag of laundry but I haven't seen a confirmation on that.
We book a suite because there is four of us. We like the extra space. Really liked the aft suites on the Sunshine as they have two rooms.

I may have to try this. I actually like the salmon with onion, cream cheese and capers with no bagel! Fits with my low-carb diet!
What is the earliest time I can get salmon from the deli? I thought it didn't open until lunch time.

Happy Cruzin in my post I was point out that when you don't have diamond or platinum status the new perk is showing up. That's what this thread is all about "anyone get additional perks yet in a suite". In my reading of this thread I learned many people who book suites happen to receive the perks anyway from their diamond or platinum status. Since Carnival's website isn't very clear yet about the new perks I thought as a red I could show that I am seeing the express luggage.
I think you were trying to be helpful in your post by pointing out suites always had priority (which I didn't say that I didn't know), but I actually found your comment to be condescending. I am sure that was not your intent.
Suites have always gotten priority boarding. The FFTF on the tags is so you get your luggage as soon as possible - something that was added not that long ago.Sent from my iPhone using Forums

We are booked in an ocean suite for our second cruise and we do not have FTTF. My luggage tags say FTTF. Guess that's part of the new perk.

You know what time your ship will be in port based on the ship time. So cross reference that with the time the port is expecting the ship.
Try using this link (http://ports.cruisett.com/). It will show you when your ship is expected to be there and what other ships are in port that day too.

Our TA said at 5 cabins she can start getting group rates and extra perks.

So over the last couple of weeks we went from out family vacation of the four of us to being a group of 14. Since we booked early we have early dining confirmed. But everyone else is my time as early was gone.
If we switch to my time what are the chances that we could actually get all 14 of us together?

We are stopping at St Kitts on a day when there are two other ships in port. The other ships get in at 8am and we arrive at 10am on the Carnival Sunshine. i have heard Carambola will hold your beach reservation for upto 30 minutes. So if we are arriving at the dock at 10am. What would be the best time to book Carambola. We are a group of 8 people (4 adults and 4 boys).

I was on the Sunshine in January and we got a free dinner for two at JiJi's or El Capitano.

In January I rented a mini-van for $40 for the day. I had two kids so we went to Kennedy Space Centre, other people in our group rented a van and went shopping at an outlet near the airport. Rental prices change often so you have to troll the websites. I usually book and cancel then rebook everytime I can get a lower price. It was very convienient. They all have shuttles at the port.

Ear plugs are great. They are small and also muffle sounds outside the door and those from others in the room with you :)

you can request one, especially if you have a reason for needing one. My sister asked for one and said she needed it for milk for her 18 month old. Her cabin wasn't supposed to have one but they had one available and provided it to her.

We are regular cruisers so I bought the plastic sleeves to slide them in. Works great.

My son showed up with crocs on and they sent him back to get his running shoes. They want to make sure that the shoes will not fall off.

Last January I was in 5341 and my friends in 5340. These rooms are two room suites. You walk into a living room area which has a giant pullout couch and a window which looks out of the side of the ship. Then it connects to a separate room with a door where there is the bed(s). This room connects to the bathroom and the balcony.
The balcony does not wrap around but it is much deeper. There was a small table, two chairs and a lounger on the balcony.
The only drawback was the vibration from the engines.

I was on the Sunshine in January. If you are a non-smoker then go for deck 8. The middle set of stair opens to the casino. We would go up a floor to avoid the smoke smell. By mid week we went up two floors because deck six was starting to smell a lot!

We were on the Sunshine in January. For the kids club they let kids in the top of the age move up if they have a sibling in the group above.
The shore excursions did nnot show up until May or June.

I was on the Sunshine last month and they moved my friends son up so he could be in the same group as mine. What they do is only consider kids in the oldest age of the younger group and the first hour is a trial basis. He fit in well and stayed the rest of the week with the bigger kids.

What I like to do is cover them with light clothes and then spray the clothes. My son has sensitive skin and this works great.

I use zipties only because I don't want my zipper opening up and losing my stuff!

We just got off the Sunshine a little over a week ago. We had rooms 5340,5341,5342 and 8197. This is the two corner ocean suites on deck 5, a deck 5 aft balcony and a deck 8 balcony.
There was noticeable vibration on deck 5. My friends and I had the two corner suites and would definitely book them again because they are basically like a connected ocean view room (with the sofa bed) and a balcony room with the bed. We were there with two boys each. It was nice them having their own space. The other feature of being on the aft is when you are sailing you don't have the breeze. You can sit and read and not worry about too much wind.
The balcony rooms seemed to be a bit better on deck 5 too. Seemed more roomy but then there was only 2 people in that room versus the 4 on deck 8. On the aft the balconies are basically double depth.
For those of you who commented about being in the new rooms on deck 5 of the Sunshine, were they the aft-balcony rooms? If so, how was the room and the location? Noise? Vibration? etc. I'm thinking about booking one of those rooms for 2017. Thanks much. -
Last month I sailed Carnival for the first time. There were a couple of free items I learned about.
The first was playing cards. You can go to the guest services desk and they will give you them free. They even asked how many do you want.
The second was the featured picture. My niece was featured on the wall. All my sister had to do was ring the bell and she got a copy for free.

Ocean Suites 5341 and 5340 are ocean suites not vista suites. I know because I was in one last week. The vista rooms start on deck 6.
Those are Vista Suites.
Gratuities and infants question.

In January we were on the Sunshine. My sister was charged gratuities for her 1 year old daughter.
She went to guest services to cancel just her daughters gratuities, but then when we were on the plane home she realized they had cancelled all the gratuities. She felt bad that she didn't check earlier.
