Thanks to all for the pictures and the video. I do think the slides could have been done more tastefully. On Disney they have a clear tube, nice touch.

I think I saw somewhere that the slides will have LED lighting inside them for cool effects which would make sense why they aren't clear. I cant remember where I saw so not for sure.

Was your C&A upgrade preferences set to upgrade auto or upgrade with certain restrictions, no upgrade?

Also you may pay attention to your excursions. I get bothered on buses that have alot of people on it and have a long drive from port. Also if you have to tender anywhere. it bothers me when theres not an "escape " spot to chill out. Taking a walk etc... On Oasis you wont have that issue.

Sunset beach bar is on maho beach. You can watch the planes while ordering drinks and food. Its a good time They have a website you can check out. FYI beware, you may see some topless women if it bothers you. They advertise free drinks to women topless.

You could always just stay on the ship and take part in indoor activities to limit risk of exposure to mosqitos.

Is the Freedom aft vibration something new? I didnt notice it 2 years ago (last time on freedom) If so does anyone know whats causing it? I remember about a year ago I heard there was issues with one of the azipods but that was supposed to be fixed during the last drydock. Same vibration?

I hope they keep Formal night. I enjoy getting dressed up occasionally. Its not often I get a chance to do that at home.

I was there on Freedom 2 years ago with Jewel. The crowd wasnt as bad as I expected. However it was a little slow getting back down the pier to the ships.

If you plan on excursions I would book fast because they would probably fill up fast with 2 ships.

None of the aft balcony dividers can be opened to my knowledge.

I was denied last time because they said I had $100 OBC and i would get only one not both.

The beaches I visited in St. Maarten (Orient Beach and Maho Beach)were nice but the water was rough. At the time it didnt seem very friendly to someone who could not swim so beware of swimming conditions. Maho Beach wasnt quite as rough but the water seemed to get deep quickly.

In St Thomas we did Meagans Bay beach. This was wonderful and very calm. Its in like a "cove or culdesac" area where the waves and rip currents are not there. There was plenty of room, there was bathrooms and food/drink for purchase. This was our favorite

I had this happen to me on the Freedom about 14 months ago. On Freedom the is no floor drain and it pours out into the cabin until someone gets there. I had a commercial fan in my room for 2 days until they decided they would replace the carpet at the next port day. Ironically I do plumbing work and watched the guy fix. Its a rubber diaphram assembly the controls the flow of water to flush the toilet.

I have heard the raddison is awesome. Its not on the beach but has a killer pool this kids would probably love. Thats where my next one will probably be.

They are about the same. The least amount of structure is on deck 10. I think deck 9 has the family suites

When you transfer, you can no longer use Royal's website to make payments. You must deal with the TA. Whether it's convenient depends on the TA and what you think is convenient.

 

For me, I think it's very convenient because I send an email to the TA and tell her to pay XXX on a cruise. She already has our credit card info, so there's nothing more for me to do. Whenever she makes a payment, she sends me a new invoice with the current balance.

I have always done direct and found a few perks that would benefit me. Would the original perks offered by RC go away ? (Champagne and Strawberries) or would that be added to what the TA offers?

I have never noticed rocking at all but i guess it all depends on the weather and seas. Sometimes you feel a little vibration but in my opinion not enough to bother me
