    We were having a blast!

Look at Ty! OMG he was too funny! I'll tell you something, he is the kind of person that marks a vacation! So happy that both mom and I could sail with him.

On top of that we had one guy in our kart that was afraid of heights and he was sweating like a pig. It was too funny, but he was a total sport about it! Nice guy. His wife made him go on the ride :D

I have never seen someone sweat so much while standing still. His shirt was drenched!

This vacation is possibly the one with the most memorable moments ever!

Once down mom and I were going to head towards the ship, it was actually around 2:30pm. But someone in our group invited us to eat at Glady’s cafe, which apparently it is quite famous. Mom and I were full, but we really did not want to say no to their invitation. I told mom we could share something, and have some fun while at it.

So we took a bus from paradise point to Glady’s. After that we walked a little to get there.

That house even had a solar golf cart, how cool is that?

Then we got all the way down to the restaurant area.

We then met them all up there and found that Will had just proposed to Jillian, and we completely missed it all!

They gave me a picture to share here.

And she said yes, they are so cute together! Her ring was lovely as well. So clear! He did a great job at picking it out.

How cute is that? With the ship in the background and all.

While up there we took a picture, such great times! Mom tried to sneak in, but Ty cut her out :D

The ride there is quite quick, and I would like to say that it is safe. Although you just never know, all that salt exposure. I could not help but to look down at the possible disaster. And this is coming from someone who is used to snowboarding lifts all over the US.

And down we go! Love the purple color.

There are a few stores there, but most were deserted. I wonder how they even manage to stay open...

Mom went shopping for a few minutes, but nothing caught her eye.

  4. Gambee, another review for the ages!

I remember being booked on the Breakaway, and reading your review as you were writing it; it was a great way to get prepared and excited for that cruise. This year, we're booked on the Escape for 2 weeks in August, and once again your review has me very ready to go on this cruise! Especially because this time, we have the UBP, and you've helpfully been reviewing a number of beverages we can try. Thanks for taking one for the team! :D

I actually stick to the same 3 drinks, dirty vodka martini, gin/tonic/lime/cucumber and long islands. A beer here and there, mom did however try a few more drinks, I like the low caloric ones :D

I am sure you will love your B2B on the Escape, it is a really nice ship.

  5. It was good that you did not rush to go to CC meeting, as mom and I did not even make it. We were too busy having drinks in Vibe :D

I am really enjoying reading your review. It is quite interesting how people have completely different vacations on the same Voyage.

Now let me ask you a question, I hope that I am not being offensive in any way. But I am curious. Do you think if you would have stayed in a regular balcony room and payed less money, would your opinion be different? I guess the question relates to money invested vs product received?

It seems like you really enjoyed your time in the Haven area. And to me it seems like most of your issues where show coordination, and lack of doing activities. There a few cruises that I have felt like that, I guess the best example would be on Celebrity. I was quite bored on that cruise.

I have always wondered how it is traveling in Haven. My friend did it and she loved it, she said she was spoiled by it. Right now it is just out of our price range.

  6. Gamble, you write an amazing review! Thank you for providing us future cruisers with all of this wonderful information. I noticed that several people have made reference to your Oasis review. Unfortunately I have not yet had an opportunity to read it. I have travelled on the Oasis twice, and thought it was a great ship, and have a cruise on the Escape planned for next January. I'm curious as to what ship you preferred when all factors are considered. Once again thank you for your time, in providing us with all of this information.

You're a bit ahead of me :D. I usually close the reviews and it is then when I take everything into account. I am still thinking about it, like everything else in life there are pros and negatives. We will see as I come closer to the end.

Sorry Gambee my spell check changed your name in the above post and I didn't catch it

No worries, that is actually a common auto correct issue with Gambee ;)

  7. Gambee - the only reason you say snow is so great is because you live in Florida and don't have to deal with all the ruckus is causes us northerner's LOL!! :p

Haha! I was thinking the same thing. Gambee, you are more than welcome to shovel my car out next winter and experience three days of back pain if you want. [emoji30]

LoL, I like my snow in small dosages, and it usually involves lots and lots of snowboarding. I don't think I would ever move from south florida. Although at one point I thought about moving to Colorado, there is so much to do there.

  8. Yes, I do. :D But wondering what camera did you use for snorkeling? (Just wondering since they have the greenish color to them).

When you posted above asking about the barracuda, I was going to let you know that there are fish that are called Ballyhoo that sorta resemble them and have long noses. Then I see this segment and it has a bunch of them in it. So, you have now seen what a ballyhoo is too. (You usually see these swimming at the very top of the water so sometimes they are missed when snorkeling because you usually have your head down looking at things and not looking straight ahead. They are interesting fish, but usually very timid and race away quickly. It looks like there were a lot here and not racing away). :)

I used the gopro, but it with those same settings that I use in Lightroom to punch color in the pics.

Are you sure? The fish that are in the group do look different from the first one that I saw. The mouth on the first one is a bit thicker and not the needle kind. That's what threw me off a little.

  9. Thanks so much for the response Gambee. That helps a lot. I just may have to invest in a Go-Pro in the future. Do you enhance any of them? They look so different (almost like a HDR picture). I figured you must have it set somehow to take pictures every so often, but wasn't sure if that's a function of the camera. Thanks!

I haven't taken my A6000 on a cruise in a long time. Maybe I should start again. I love the pictures!

Also what function did you say your other camera has on it to make the neat oil painting pictures? I'm wondering if there's a PS action or Lightroom action that will do the same. I just love those!

I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE COKI PICTURES!! I LOVE THAT PLACE! I got all excited when I read that on your blog. Woo hoo.

The GoPro tends to take very plain pictures. I think it is mainly due to the reason that it is supposed to be a video camera and not a photo one. I tried different settings and I really enjoy the way the this one looks with the super wide lens of the GoPro. But yeah, you deff need some post processing.

Some Sony cameras like the A6000 have the effect called Illustration. I am not really sure if there is a post app that can do that, but I do remember someone saying that he had one on a past review.

  10. I have to say, I got a giggle at you referring to your go pro as a HER.

I do that to my stuff too. Even naming a lot of them (cool hand Luke for our air conditioner, dish pan Hans for our dishwasher, Baby for our Christmas tree at which point I refused to put her in the corner lol etc)

Love seeing pics of coki again. I think I spent the whole time there snorkeling and feeding the fish! Thanks for taking us all along with you.

LoL, I tend to do that often :D

Glad you're enjoying the review, thank you for following :)
