  1. We tried to get on Rhapsody last Sat. and gave $500 to get waitlisted a week in advance. Did not get on so on Thurs we got booked on Brilliance instead and cancelled waitlist on Rhapsody. Since it was 2 days before sailing our cabin steward did not even have us listed on manifest. Had no Diamond info or stuff and stockholder obc. Went to guest services twice but never got obc on acct. Also Diamond host did not have us listed either. Went to lounge anyway and was told when past passenger reception was held. Also tried to get anytime dining on 1st day and was denied. Diamond lounge consierge was able to get it for us later in cruise.  Learned last minute booking doesn't go so smoothly.

  2. On the first night they have prime rib and mounds of peeled boiled shrimp. We never go to dining room or speciality dining on 1st night. Other nights usually have some kind of shrimp too. I think it is lunch on last day they have peeled shrimp and oysters and mussels maybe?

  3. Thanks everybody for all the info. My husband's medical problems have been very sudden and doctors don't explain much. We have 3 cruises booked for the winter and he still wants to go on all of them. They will be new experiences  on these cruises. We have been blessed to have been able to cruise as much as we have and would like to continue. Will look into getting an Inogen. Thanks again

  4. My husband has just been diagnosed with restriction/obstruction  in his lungs which makes him short of breath

when walking. If he sits down for a bit he is ok again. Lung Dr has ordered oxygen to have with him all the time.

Oxygen company showed up with 1 big tank, 5 little tanks, carry case for carrying a small tank with you, and a

large concentrator unit that produces oxygen along with a mile of tubing so he can move all over the house. Seems

like overkill to us, he can breathe ok sitting around the house and even does cardiac rehab without being short of

breath. But walking is another matter.  Anyway can anybody advise us how to cruise with oxygen? Experience anyone?

  5. Our 12/1 VIP casino cruise just dropped in price and travel agent is closed on Sunday so cannot reach. Anybody had any luck getting reduction in price or upgraded cabin without losing OBC/casino perks, etc.? Cancelling and rebooking is out of the question due to large obc and casino perks since that deal has expired. I am willing to pay some for an upgrade if necessary.

  6. My experience as of yesterday is my Princess booking  that I tried to transfer Tuesday to my travel agent. I knew about 60 window for transfer and used deposit confirmation date as my booking date. When transfer was not done I phoned Princess to follow up. They told me  I was past 60 day window. I had phoned Princess for a price  in March and a cabin was put on hold while I checked with spouse and dogsitter to make sure date would work. Before hold was up I phoned and put down deposit on the cruise. Princess used prior date and I was using date of deposit as booking date. They told me I was past date and could not transfer booking and would have to cancel and rebook to transfer. I asked for supervisor but said I would have to wait for written verification of denial first. Cruise was a casino offer past expiration I might add so would lose big time. Suprisingly booking suddening was transferred last night. So afterall turned out ok. Lesson:  If you talk to Princess and put hold on cabin. THAT is booking date.

  7. We are taking our son, daughter in law and their 4 kids on a spring break cruise next month. Kids ages are twins 13yrs old, a 15yrs old girl and 17yr old girl. We have never taken children on a cruise before and none of them have been on a cruise before. Should we sign them up for the Carnival kids programs? Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Cruise will be 5nights on Paradise if that matters.  Thanks

  8. Just off Regal yesterday and unfortunately they did not show Alabama/Georgia SEC title game on Saturday. ESPN showed the UCF/Memphis game but that was only college game shown. We were onboard in January for National Championship game and were able to watch Alabama win it on Regal.
