  1. We are booked in Aqua Class.

Our friends wanna join us on the same cruise. They have a 3 year old child at time of sailing.

It seems that aqua class cabins only accommodate 2 persons and not 3, so they cannot be in aqua class.

They can book a regular balcony cabin, but we cannot have dinner together in BLU.

The solution is of course is that we can go with them to the main restaurant, and that's something we consider.

But they really wanna book Aqua Class as well. I don't know if this is possible ?

Any tips and suggestions are welcome !

    Sorry, not possible.

  2. Depends upon the ship as to whether they will allow suite passengers to eat in Blu (for a fee and space permitted.

I do not believe this is accurate. They dropped the fee for suite guests to dine in Blu a couple of years ago. :)

And why would someone in a suite want to, regardless if there is a fee? Now those in a suite can bring a guest to Their dining room for the small cost of $50.00 pp per meal.

  3. Hi Celebrity friends,

I am just looking for some info. We are on Summit next fall going to New England for 14 days. My brother, his wife and two of our best friends are also on board. We booked first (almost six months before they did) and we snagged our favorite aft cabin. We LOVE M-class aft cabins and we purposely booked on the first day the cruise became available to get one.

That said, my brother and his wife and our friends booked Aqua. We had all done Aqua on Silhouette last summer and we loved it. Mostly for Blu. Especially for breakfast.

So here's my question. Have you ever heard of anyone in Concierge (our aft cabin is a C-1 and more expensive than their Aqua) being able to eat in Blu? Either by purchasing some kind of upgrade or any other way? If so, how did they work it out?

Please don't think we are trying to get something for nothing. As I mentioned, our C-1 aft costs more than their Aqua cabins and we would still be willing to pay extra (within reason) to eat in Blu.

Thoughts and experiences would be welcome.

    Jim

Sorry Jim, the answer is no. And there is no fee that can be paid.:(

  4. I'm curious to know which company this is...don't think it's a problem to discuss tour companies on here, believe it's only travel agents you can't discuss but I could be wrong. Any hints on which company you're recommending?

    Thx, Cathy

Here is the link to the video of the tour we did last year.

Absolutely one of the best we have done in our 6-7 times to St Maarten!

  5. Food items at the Aqua Spa Cafe are included, smoothies are covered by the Bev pkg.

Don't remember the cost at Slush, but you will pay the difference on any thing over your pkg coverage.

Go to your cruise Planner and you can pre buy a 3 night speciality dining pkg for less than on board.

Silk Harvest is well worth the visit too. We had 23-25 go from our Roll Call last cruise and it was a blast! Oh, and the food was really good too.

For craft beer lovers the GastroBar is a MUST! The beer and food paring event is well worth the $20 cost.

If you go to Tuscan, the Filet not the Rib Eye!:D

    We were on in 2014 & 2015.

  6. They are running a special on our April 2018 Equinox cruise. This is for new bookings only. For only $49 you can upgrade from a OV to a Balcony cabin. Of course they raised the price of the OV to only $50 less than Balcony. So if you want to save $1 Book Now!

Or they lowered the cost of the balcony.

  7.

Another example is the Captain Club. They had to make another top level and change the point system because too many were becoming Elite.

    Happy cruising

Celebrity made it a lot easier and quicker to attain the needed points for the Elite level.

When we joined in 1994 you had to cruise 10 times regardless of cabin type, or length. ( ie: 5/7/10 or 14 days, all the same ) With the change the more you spend on your cabin choice, and longer the cruise, the more points you receive and climb the ladder.

A few14 day cruises in a suite and presto you can get your 300 points.

  8. We will be on the Solstice next year and have booked a hump cabin on the 9th floor. Will we be bothered by noise/music from the foyer? Thanks for any help.

Our favorite cabin location on an S-class ship.

You will have no noise issues at all, simply the most WONDERFUL cabin location ever.

Well, unless you can get on on the Aft! :D

  9. Looking for some reviews of Gastrobar.........I understand it has a good slate of beers (+ cocktails).

What is the available food ??.......and is it fee free ?

    How about hours, etc.........thanks

    I absolutely love the GastroBar.

The menu items are an additional cost, but worth every cent!

They have a food and beer paring 2X each sailing that sells out! DO IT! Worth the $20.

Sailed in 2014 just after it was added, then again in 2015.

It became our go to bar, replaced the Sunset Bar.

IMHO, the burger is the best on any of the 7 lines we have sailed. Now we have not had the new lunch at the Lawn Club Grill on the Reflection, but friends said it is even better! Just another reason to go back on the Reflection.

The flat breads, (ie: not pizza ) is very good.

There is a Happy Hour that is only posted about on a read board stand as you enter. 50% off for a couple of hours. Made the $35 bomber of Rouge Double Chocolate Stout reasonable.
