Hello,
This is my first time on Celebrity and I am told my Diamond Plus status for RC will translate to Elite status on Celebrity. My question is for anyone who has sailed on Celebrity Summit. Is there a Captain's Club lounge like the Diamond Plus lounges on RC? If so what are the amenities?
Thanks!
No stand alone room like the Diamond Lounge.

Durning the sale last week we used ours to cover 2, 9 day speciality dining pkgs. When we went to ck out, it asked if we want to apply our OBC, then how much. Had to put $18 on the Celebrity Visa to complete the purschase.

Don't mean to hijack but what exactly does the beer n food pairing consist of? We were on the Equinox in January and did see this listed (which means i overlooked it lol) so just curious as we'll be sailing on her again on 7/2. Thanks!
They match up 4 of the items on the menu with 4 of the craft beers. Explain how the diff beer interacts with the different food. Kinda like red wine with beef, and white with fish. Great learning opportunitie about the differences of beer style n taste.

Did any in your party try the GastroBar? The beer n food paring is wonderful and well worth the $20.

Hi Cruise Raider! I believe we're on the same sailing - EQ 11/06/17.
!
I am on that sailing ... so excited!!.See you onboard in November!!
We are on the 11/6 sailing too!
Punkinir,
Have you chimed in on the Roll Call? There is around 150 on it already!

We are Half Marathoners. The running track on all the Celebrity ship is not worth a hoot. You have to weave thru people in deck loungers, walkers, and smokers.
-
On some cruise lines you have to commit to eating in the restaurant at a certain time every night. On others, like Norwegian, they have "Freestyle" dining where you can make reservations for different times on different nights or just walk in if they have openings.
How is dinning handled on the Celebrity ships?
Thanks
Both, therevare 2 fixed times in the MDR, and select, where you walk up and take the luck of the draw.

We are three couples sailing together and are looking at sharing the cost of (2) 6 night specialty dining packages.
Objective: 2 dinners for the 3 couples to dine together on 2 nights. (my DH says that explanation is clear as mud :'))
Is this something that's even possible? Can you use multiples from the same package for the same night in the same restaurant?
Or is that like trying to share the beverage package - (which is something we would never do!)
Thanks so much for any insight!
Not gonna happen, sorry.

can I place it in my suitcase or do I need to carry it with me?
We have done it both ways.
-
Ive been in several roll calls but someone else has organised meet onboard. How do you get meet greet added to cc and how do you arrange room . I know you need certain number people is it 10 or 20 :)
These are not a Celebrity event.

I have the Classic Drink Package as a Perk. Does that include the 18% tip? Or am I going to see that as a separate charge?
Nope, the basic grat is included. If you feel the level of service is really good, you can add some additional if you desire.
-
I read on another thread that the specialty dining discount is for new bookings only.
Nope. I just booked a 9 night pkg for our November cruise I booked in July 2016 for $209.00 ea.
-
We have the upcoming TA on Eclipse in October and see deals Celebrity is offering for specialty dining.
A Four Dinner package is $125 pp. We usually buy onboard if we feel like it and have cruise friends that want to do the same.
I just don't remember what we paid last time for a dining package onboard. Also, not sure it will be offered.
Any thoughts?
Select sailings have a sale thru Sunday night. We just booked a 9 night pkg for $209.00 ea.

Sorry if I am not reading this correctly .... but a little confused. We booked the 6 dinner package and were only given a choice of the date (1st or last night) and a time. It did not allow us to book a restaurant. We don't necessarily want to book the first night onboard but want to make sure we get at least 2 of our six dinners in Murano. Are we able to reserve all of these now?? Do I need to call to do so or do I have to wait until we are onboard?? thanks!!

I wasn't aware you could actually book the restaurants, just buy the package. Is this something you can do online or do you have to call to book specific times and locations? All I see is an option to choose the time for the first night but nothing more.
I locked in the time for the first evening in Murano. We will adjust everything when we board. A couple in Silk, a couple in Tuscan, Sushi on 5, and the rest in Murano.
We have a dozen on the Roll Call, and the FB group that have done the same.

What a good deal!
Just used $400.00 of our OBC to pay for the 9 night dining pkg for the 2 of us, and booked all of them in Murano!
I'm gonna have to get in a lot of morning steps this year!
-
Many times a tour operator cancels and the line has to go find another guide that is offering something similar.
RCCL/Celebrity does not own nor operate any tours, and has zero control over them.
Sorry this has happened to you, but it does happen all the time with all the diff cruise lines.
-
Well I just used $400.00 of OBC to book 9 nights in Murano on our next cruise. Came out to $23 ea per night.
Not to shabby.
-
You can now use OBC online when you book excursions, dining packages and drink packages. No need to book in advance. There are always discounts. Frankly, after cruising on Disney, you may find the dining experience on X to be disappointing.
Check your cruise planner, there is a 3 day dining and excursion sale this weekend. I just booked Murano for 9 nights for $209.00 per person total, and used our OBC to pay for it.
OP, this said, we have cruised Celebrity since 1987, has the MDR changed a bit over the years? Yes. But we have not had a 'bad' meal there ever. Lucky? From some post I guess so. Last cruise was our first time in Aqua, so we had Blu as our dining room. It was good, but nothing much diff food wise from the MDR. You will be fine there.
This sale was just too good a deal at $23 ea per night when I used their OBC $$ to pay for it. And we still have the Premium Bev pkg, and grats covered too.
-
Thank you. We're looking at purchasing one of those. :)
And I was able to use our OBC to pay for it!
-
Were you actually able to book Murano specifically or did you book the nine night package which uses all 3 restaurants?
It did not ask for specific restaurants, we have had friends do every one in Murano when booking the longer packages.
-
There is a 20% off sale this weekend for dining packages...and other add ons. Check the price for cruise in your cruise planner.I can't figure out how to get the sale price. It's all coming up at normal price. I have some time though.
Thanks for this, that might make it worth it to book in advance.
I logged into 'My Cruise Planner', 20% off everything for our Nov Equinox cruise. Booked 9 dinners in Murano for $209 each, and used our OBC to pay for it.
Never seen this before.
-
No need to 'worry' over where to dine anymore on Celebrity.
-
You can order as much as you want. But like Gr Ma says, clean your plate before taking more. 😋
We have yet to book a speciality for lunch with our package. They normally offer a lunch at a much lower cost than the pkg.
