I had that package last week and it was so worth it for me. The person I was with doesn’t drink so it really isn’t fun to drink alone. The entire week I just got a glass of wine with dinner and that was it for additional.
I definitely used a lot of the sodas for sure. Between getting quite a few refills, bottled water to take back to the room to have on hand in the fridge and the largest mocha every morning (including a few afternoon cups) I definitely had my money’s worth.

My disaster was my 1st cruise ever. Apparently they served bad strawberries they picked up in Mexico and it made over 75% of the ship sick (according to the ship dr.) So severely sick that 2 people had even passed away while on the ship. Carnival gave us a 'lovely' 10% off our next cruise to apologize. Wasn't that sweet.

Please can anyone tell me does Brillance of the Seas have reserved seating around the pool for suite guests. Many thanks Sue
I just returned from BOS last week and no, they don't. It's first come first served regardless of cabin. The good thing is that they were dead at the pool in the morning. Might have been because I was on a country music cruise and people were up late with the concerts but one morning I was at the pool at 8am and there were only 3 other people and no chairs were saved.
I did see 2 couples that paid a steward to hold chairs one day though. And trust me, he was kissing their a$$es all morning bringing them whatever they wanted LOL

Why is this their fault?
Agree. You left the bag behind through your own fault. It's not like they misplaced it. It's up to you to be sure that you take all your belongings. Not being rude but I don't understand why you are upset at RCI
-
Very sad story, but yes, RCI will pay out something. Medical bills, pain and suffering, etc. I mean, I assume this was booked through the ship itself. Even though they aren't a direct employer of RCI, they take the liability when they sell their package with the company if it's an outside company and they are a responsible party.

Another reason why I am only using cash

Thanks! The WJ's seem to be better on Radiance class ships.
R&D
I like hearing that. I keep hearing such bad stories about the WJ. We are on Brilliance in 4 days and hoping for the best. Personally, I don't care to eat in the dining room for every night and the last time we sailed I really liked the WJ but then it was 10 years ago so I keep reading how things have changed.

Great. Thank you

I know that the interior walls are magnetic but wondering if the cabin door is also? Was going to bring some type of magnet for the door to decorate it if so, then it would be easier to find the room coming back after a fun night of partaking in adult beverages ;)

Sounds like you got moved- Did you call RCL and ask them?
No, that's what's weird. We are on a chartered cruise and the TA never asked and I never requested
-
Under my "preferences and requests" it has always said My Time Dining. Well, today I looked at my Dashboard and see that now it says the following:
Dinner Seating: Traditional Dining lets you enjoy reserved seating at a set time each day. 05:30 PM , No Waitlists
So, does this mean that we got moved to traditional dining at 5:30? If so, who requested 5:30? I don't eat that early  LOL

I had one luggage tag on my set sail pass thing that I printed off of the computer. Just made color copies.
As stated on your SetSail pass, these are NOT the luggage tags you use. The real ones are in color and are longer. They will be separate for you to print.
Here is what mine says on the SetSail pass:
Luggage Tags
The images below contain luggage destination information for each person in your reservation and any associated reservations in your SetSail Pass. They are not real luggage tags. Please use official luggage tags for your bags. If you need extra luggage tags, or if you have forgotten to bring your luggage tags with you, the images below can be used by the Porter to create luggage tags at the pier.

I leave for my cruise Saturday but we are flying in to Tampa on Friday evening. I have put my luggage tags INSIDE both my suitcases. What I'm doing is putting them on the suitcases when i get inside the hotel in Tampa. I don't want to have them on when I fly because 1) I don't want them to get damaged in transit on the flight 2) I don't want the airline to wonder what it is so they pull it off. Its best to put it on right before you get to the port. I'd never fly with the cruise tags on the outside of my luggage. :)

Leaving in Brilliance in 6 days and wondering about this smaller ship. Thanks for the review.

When your docs are ready after you've done the online check-in, it will say "print luggage tags". They will be full tags in color. Those are the ones you print. They are separate from all other docs. I think they're ready something like 45 days before (mine was only 2 weeks since I'm on a charter cruise, so if you are also that will make a difference)

The shot is not part of your Refreshment package, so you will pay the full cost of the shot, which will include an 18% gratuity.
I'm sorry but I think that's absurd. if you already have some kind of package and have the gratuity included, it shouldn't be added again. Yes, if someone doesn't have a package but that's just nuts. JMO

Would venture to say $7-$9 (plus 18% gratuity) a shot depending on rum or spirit in general.
My drink package included the 18%. Are you saying that I'll be charged ANOTHER 18% for ordering a shot to add to my drink that was prepaid?

:( Thank you

Does room service or the Windjammer have flavored coffee creamers? I need my daily morning coffee but the only way I can drink coffee is with flavored creamers. Do they have this on the ship or do I have to make my way to the coffee bar every morning?
-
My drink package includes non-alcoholic frozen drinks. Anyone know if I order a strawberry daiquri and ask to put a shot of rum in it what the cost of the shot is? Someone here told me it's cheaper and I can save a lot by doing this with frozen drinks (daiquiris, margaritas, etc) by ordering the 'free one' and just asking them to add a shot and they only charge for the shot.

9 days. In the single digits now!! :D

The last day on our trip (9/30/2016) on Adventure of the Seas, my g/f and I were playing Bingo.
We won the first game of $162
Then we won the last game which was the free cruise! We were sooo excited. It is a 7 to 9 day Caribbean cruise to be used next year on ANY ship!!!
Congrats! Looks like it was your lucky day!

I'm so disappointed to read this thread. :(
I've only been on 2 cruises and when we went on RC it was soooo good. Just what you thought cruise food was to be. The dinner selections were amazing (mostly we ordered 2 if not 3 entrees since we couldn't choose) and tasted amazing. Granted, this was 10 years ago. My first cruise with Carnival was horrible! Talk about McDonalds being even better! It was our first cruise and I was do disappointed so when I did RC I was a happier girl.
Next week my friend will have her 1st cruise and I feel so bad that she might not experience good cruise food from these reviews. :( Hope it won't deter her away from doing anymore sailings.

Had it last week on Brilliance. Speed was ok. But I wasn't able to log on for 1.5 days and they wouldn't do anything about it. Went downstairs twice to customer service and just said "i'm sorry. It should be working". All it would do is spin and spin then a pop up saying "server can't be found". All the while my roommate had hers working fine. I asked for a refund of the time missed and they wouldn't do it since 'it's been working before."
Otherwise, when it was working, it was fine all over the ship; cabin, restaurant, decks, theater.
