  1. Unless you have changed your flight arrival to earlier on embarkation day or the night before, you probably will be SOL. If I recall, your flight lands at 1030, which means your port arrival will be around noontime and the passes will all be distributed by then. If you came in early in the morning or the previous night, your special needs embarkation would guarantee that you could purchase passes.

my flight arrives 9:10 , however in FLL,, i'm not sure what time the tranportation will leave FLL to the Miami Port ? Im thinking i might just take my chances with the H2O area, and getting the spa pkg.. forgetting vibe altogether, at least, that is my plan for now..

  2. I just was in Vibe last week. If you have handicapped boarding, you will board before everyone else, and therefore should get access to the Vibe passes if you wish. I agree that a lot of people do not spend much time in Vibe, and the ones that do spend A LOT of time at the bar.

we are a older couple and not looking to hang out by bars, we just want to be able to relax , maybe a cocktail or 2 and than maybe back to room and get ready for dinner, even that i see for example the Glow thing in H2O, not for us, want quiet evenings, catch a show , listen to a little music, maybe a comedy show, Maybe i'll just do the spa pkg, and take my chances finding a spot to get a little sun, need to be able to get wet, my body feels the heat badly, so need to be able to cool it off.. Doubting if this cruise is the best for us,, Any info might sway me to a direction

  3. We actually prefer the Spa to the Vibe by far.

Im thinking my husband will enjoy the spa area, i will also, but i also like to get a little outdoor sun, and being we don't plan on many-any excursions, I figure if anything we can go back and forth and at least know we will get loungers,, as we both use scooters, i have MS and terrible walking issues, so to be searching for chairs with crowds, is not for me,, we had problems on 2 previous cruises , years ago, not finding chairs/loungers, it was horrible,, Not that i am looking to spend $$$ , I am looking for not to have to worry based on past experience.

  4. Three specialty dining restaurants were included in our original booking. Daughter bought me three additional specialty dining restaurants for a Christmas present this past Christmas. Cost was $81.42, which included a service charge.

We might do that also,, think my husband is going to really like cagneys,, so i'm sure they willl be a repeat , i have a question, doing those other 3 restaurants, how much of upgrade did u pay , on top of have to pay the 81.42

  5. I don't think it is "Brazilian" meat at Moderno. It could be, but I doubt NCL is going to go through the trouble of importing it. It is most likely USDA-certified. The "Brazilian" aspect is about how it is served: on huge skewers by pasadores, much like Texas de Brazil. Nothing strange -- filet, skirt, chicken, grilled pineapple

knowing that i might give it a try,, thank you

  6. LOL , we are boring people for don't care for French Food, while vacationing in Aruba, we don't care for Brazilian Meat , USDA for us,, , we are just not Adventurous eaters, :( , so we will be sticking with Cagneys, MDR, Buffet, LaCucina..[/

Just an FYI LeBistro was more "American" fare than French.

I'm basically a meat and potato person, but found the menu at LeBistro very appealing.

I will give it a try, thanks,

on the side ( LOL ) Love French Martinis,, couple of them and Im sure i'll find something to eat

  7. If you avoid the pool deck, you will love this ship. H2O is pretty mellow during the day. Deck 8 is the place to lounge, lots of seating, shade on one side sunny on the other. A nice bar or two. Atrium shows and events can get busy as well, but worth it if you can snag a seat.

Looking for a mellow excursion, try escape to Jost Van dyke, Dont let the description dissuade you. They pull right up to the most amazing beach (and a nice bar). Stunning location.

t.[/quoteIS the vibe a good place (if u can get ) as far as seats , does it attract a all ages kind of space ?

Also does this mellow excursion Jost Van Dyke, handicap accessible ?

  8. Thanks for the good info. Loved Pearl but ready to try a big ship and all it offers. Don't think crowds will bother us as we're not really pool people. Lounging in the shade people watching and reading is fine. Two years ago did Western Carribean on Princess so Eastern Carribean it is this time. Cruise is for my 70th birthday so pools, difficult excursions, rushing and clawing to get Vibe passes, etc, not my thing.

I'm curious....how would one know which cabin has bed near balcony vs near closet? I suspect near the balcony might be a good choice.

well, have a happy 70th birthday, maybe will run into each other , my name is kathy and husband Larry, i will be on a scooter, so just introduce yourself , looking forward to a great cruise

  9. i called a ncl agent, just to assure myself, i def have the food and bev package, and my tips,SC have all been prepaid, I understand because 2 of us in the same room, they do upon arrival - checkin, the credit card we give them will get a 300.00 per cabin on it, if at the end of cruise i don't do anything that would be a charge , than my credit card won't get any charges on it... But LOL, don't really see that happening and thats ok, just want to have fun ( to a point ) and according to other forums i've read, periodically check my account for suspicious charges
