We really enjoyed so many aspects of Princess, and one of those was the onboard credit for military service. I also loved the items in the shops and found them much more upscale and desirable items than on HAL. They also have the movies under the stars, and the staff is so friendly. Another impressive moment came when a friend had a problem with her shower, and within the hour not only had they come to look at it, but it was fixed. Food and service in the speciality restaurants was also delicious. We will definitely book again on Princess.

We tried our first Princess cruise in February on the Grand from SFO to Hawaii and back. We loved embarkation, very quick and easy. The service was wonderful, and the suite very comfortable. The mix of passengers was great, and we loved the Chef's table and would do that again and again. The thing that impressed us the most was the amount of space between tables in all the dining venues. There was also a waiter when ever you needed one, and the glasses were always filled promptly. HAL needs to step up their wait staff and add more waiters. The crew was very friendly, and there always seemed something to do onboard even on sea days. We will definitely sail Princess again.

I too am enjoying your review. We will be onboard the Coral in January. I love the photos.

I was so sorry to hear this news. My sincere condolences to you and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

We were on the Grand in February, and we sent out many types of clothing, and they always came back promptly and perfect. Enjoy your cruise.

We also had the Movie tour, and we had a great time. I never knew so many things were actually filmed in Hawaii. They also provided a nice lunch. I agree though that what ever you decide to do, you should have a wonderful time.

We love whale watching in Maui. It was wonderful, and we saw so many whales.

Thank you so much for the photos. We are 27 days out and counting, and can't wait to explore the ship.

We have sailed with family, and we have sailed by ourselves. We enjoyed the PS each and every time. We also have held a sail away party for over 30 guests, as well as enjoyed dinner for two. The PS is a wonderful space, and we will book it each time if available.

We enjoy the fridge as well, but the kitchen really comes in handy when entertaining.

I often have this after returning from a cruise. My doctor told me to take the seasick pills until the problem stops. Usually it does in a couple of days.

We will be on the Grand February 18th, so we will be following your posts. This will be our first time on Princess, so we are excited to hear any comments.

I'm sorry to hear that things are declining, but then they have been for a while. We are having to turn to Princess in order to cruise to Hawaii. After DH's illness, he wanted to go to Hawaii, and HAL just wasn't doing it when we wanted to go. So we will try Princess then on to Crystal, which we dearly love.

We have anytime dining, so we are flexible. I am, at this point, wondering why I have not tried Princess before. It sounds great. Thanks everyone.

While on the subject of food, perhaps someone can recommend a good place to have drinks before dinner. We have so much exploring to do, and we are very excited.

Thanks everyone for all the wonderful options. The main dining room sounds like a great choice if we are onboard in time. We are really looking forward to our cruise on Princess.

We will be sailing for the first time on the Grand Princess to Hawaii in February. Can anyone recommend a good place for lunch after embarkation?

Thank you for your review and thoughts. We will take our first Princess cruise on the Grand to Hawaii in February. It's nice to know that we should have a good time.

This is our first cruise on Princess as well, and thank you for all the information. We will be on the Grand Princess to Hawaii in February, and we can hardly wait to explore Princess.

Why not sail Crystal where every thing is included?

We would happily pay more to get more. I miss the old HAL, and I fear that we may find that they are no longer worth the price, as the service and benefits of the suites and PS are now offered to others who have reached certain mariner levels or buy the suite packages for their lesser cabins. I know that I am dreaming here, but would't it be nice to offer the amenities that used to be offered, service, incredible food, entertainment, activities on a few ships at a higher price and see what happens? I would also be willing to pay more for all inclusive, dress codes and more serving staff.

I have several LeVian pieces and love his stuff. I'm glad to hear that HAL now carries his jewelry.

My ankles swell every time we cruise. The doctor gives me a diuretic, but she also tells me to remember to elevate my feet. With all the walking, the good food, the wine, and the activity on the ship, I realized that I almost never elevated my feet, as I usually do at home when I'm relaxing.

I guess that I am one of the few that does not like the shampoo and conditioner. It has a very strong smell, and one that I don't like. I always take my own. We have had both cotton balls and Q tips in the PS suites, but sometimes it is hit or miss in the other cabins.

The Volendam is my favorite ship. I have such good memories, and I hope that you have a good time on your cruise Ruth.
