  1. I'm sure that you will enjoy your cruise and the Pinnacle Suite. We also found the extra bathroom came in very handy, as did the larger fridge. You will also find all the extra towels that you will need in your bathroom, and if you need more than provided, just ask. We have always found the suite very comfortable. I'm not sure about your ship, but on the Noordam, my husband enjoyed the recliner in the living room.

  2. Sheila the Koningsdam was a beautiful ship, but I still love the Noordam. We found the Neptune Suites beautifully done, but they were smaller, and the veranda was definitely smaller. The food options were plentiful, but I feel that all the different restaurants took that space away from other venues, like entertainment and relaxing. I did like that the life boat drill was held inside, but I found out that is because the promenade deck doesn't go completely around. The service was outstanding, the people very friendly, but I will take my Noordam any day.

  3. Sail my nephews have booked me on a cruise in May of next year to Alaska with them on our favorite ship the Noordam. A friend wants me to join her on an Hawaiian cruise in December. She says the first Christmas is the hardest. I haven't made up my mind on that one yet.

  4. You will be well taken care of in the Pinnacle Suite. You will have a large suite that is perfect to entertain or just have room service from any of the restaurants. If tradition holds, you will be escorted onboard. We have stayed in the Pinnacle Suite many times, as we usually travel with family and friends. They will be there to help you with any excursions, reservations and any other requests.

  5. I don't think that any cruise ships will be making stops at heavily damaged islands. It isn't in the interest of the ports, and I'm sure the cruise line wants the passengers to have a good time. I know on San Juan, while many of the old buildings may be standing in the tourist areas, El Yunge the rainforest may never be the same again in our lifetime.

  6. I just wanted to thank you for being as warm and welcoming to me now as you were before I took an absence. My husband had a stroke three years ago, and he just passed in April, so I have not been here much. But thank you for making me feel like I never left.

  7. Hi Lakemurraykid. We are on the Noordam in early May. Yes the Neptune Suite perks are still in place. They had a very good turn around on the Koningsdam, same day, but that may not apply to all ships. They also, at least on the Koningsdam had an honor a bar open in the Neptune in the late afternoon before dinner seatings. We sailed to Hawaii on Princess, but I like the suite size better on HAL. I'm sure that whichever cruise you choose, you will have a wonderful time.

  8. it all depends on when you go in March. March is typically Spring Break time for a lot of schools, so there may be more young people and children on board. I was on the Koningsdam in Mach of this year, and there seemed to be people of all ages onboard.
