  1. On the subject of cashing out casino credit, I was emergency transferred from the Discovery Princess while on a 7 day cruise from Seattle. We made it all the way to Victoria, B. C. when the good doctors decided that it would be for my benefit and health to be transferred to a hospital in Victoria. I told the ships officer that was handling the arrangements that I had a $480 in casino credit on the books in the casino and my wife, who was traveling with me on the ship and in the ambulance, also had a smaller amount ($80 credit). The ships officer told us not to worry and that the funds would be sent to us in a check. It is over a month later and we have heard or received nothing from the casino. Should I be concerned???

The Shops of Princess offer more than just accessories and sundries you may have left at home. Shop on board and benefit from incredible tax-and duty-free savings off suggested U.S. retail prices on fragrances, cosmetics, jewelry and gifts, apparel and liquor.

In addition to our everyday savings, we bring you special promotions throughout the cruise. Once on board, please check for times and locations of these exciting events by accessing JourneyView™ on your mobile device.

Plus, Elite Captain’s Circle members receive an extra 10% discount in the Shops of Princess– no exclusions!"

I do not know where you actually live but to tout the  "incredible tax-and duty-free savings off suggested U.S. retail prices on fragrances, cosmetics, jewelry and gifts, apparel and liquor." is not my experience. I live in Nevada and am able to purchase almost (I am not going to say 100%) all items that they sell in the shops on the ships for 8% to 20% less and this is including our 10% off on non "sale" items. I do not see deals...

  3. Received an E-mail from Princess informing us that our upgrade offer to go from a standard (BD) balcony (C708) to a Premium Deluxe (D4) Balcony (C740) Aft Facing. When bidding opened, price range started at $80 per person. We submitted a "weak" bid of $100 which was accepted. Cruise is on the Discovery Princess sailing on a 7 day round trip from Seattle on 27 August.

  4. Following Astro Flyer's advice, I went to the e-mail from Princess that gave this offer and clicked on the destination "Alaska". Once there, I scrolled through until I found my cruise on the Discovery for the 27th of August. Now that I found it and I assume that if it is listed, that it is eligible, what do I do next???

The Code cited on my email is RF3MD053

I have received the same e-mail as tothemall&beyond, I agree that there are no limits except that the offer expires on 22 July2024. OBMC rates shown in box at bottom of offer says 6 Days or less = $100,   7 to 13 days = $200 and 14 days or longer = $500.

The campaign code is the same, RF3MD053 and the promo code is MM5

Also it does NOT SAY "New Bookings only" so I believe it would work for rebookings also>

I have sent an e-mail to my TA asking her how to take advantage of this offer.

On our last Princess cruise we noticed several shops in the port area with the Princess logo on them.

We did not go in BUT...

    I hope this is so.

We have a cruise next month with OBC. Being that we have the Princess Plus package, basically everything onboard is already covered.

I do NOT need any overpriced things from their shops so hoping to be able to buy somethings in the ports.

So that you can buy overpriced items in the cruise ports?

  8. We were on the Island Princess on the Trans-Atlantic cruise which departed Rome in December. While crossing the Ocean my wife started to have chest pains and her BP went high. We went to the ships medical office and saw the doctor. The performed tests and said that it was not a heart attack. Some meds were prescribed and given to her by the medical staff. Now, 3 days into a 7 day crossing her pain became so severe and her BP went so high that the medical staff decided to keep her in the medical unit until we reached Ft. Lauderdale. The staff of the ship's medical office were outstanding and managed to get her BP under control while on the ship. (We were too far from land for an air evac.)

When we reached Ft. Lauderdale my wife was taken by ambulance to the Broward Medical Center where she spent 5 days. It was determined that she had 2 blocked (one 70% the other 90%) arteries.

We purchased Princess Insurance (the higher rate) and we also have coverage from Tri-Care for life. We assume (maybe) that between them they will pay the on board medical charges. For the Ft. Lauderdale stay we will use Tri-Care and Medicare.

Yesterday, I received a letter from the Princess Credit and Collections Department requesting full payment. I replied that we do not have funds available to pay and that we were insured by their recommended insurance carrier that we wait and let the companies (Tri-Care and AON) settle things.

W have provided AON with the documentation they requested with the exception of the "Attending Physician" report (Doctor is somewhere out there on the Island princess on the world cruise Any suggestions or opinions as what to do next?

  9. My wife and I just returned from a Mediterranean / Trans-Atlantic cruise. While on the Trans-Atlantic portion my wife experienced severe chest pains. Her blood pressure was such a concern that the on-board medical staff kept her in the medical ward for observation. We purchased Princess insurance, and we know that Medicare does not provide coverage outside the USA but are wondering if it would be better to submit the claim to Tricare for Life? When we arrived in Ft. Lauderdale she was transported to the local medical center where she spent 5 days and had a heart procedure. We realize that Medicare is prime and Tricare for Life is secondary for this portion of her care. Who would pay for out-of-pocket expenses? (I spent 5 nights in a hotel, meals and transportation) is anyone libel for these expenses?

    Thanks for your time

  10. We are booked on the 14 November cruise from Rome to Ft. Lauderdale (28 days) on Island Princess. We waited for an upgrade offer and none came. We mentioned this to friends who are also on this cruise (same cabin type and deck) and they forwarded an e-mail from Princess which offered them an upgrade, at a price of course. I have spoken to an PCL agent who went over our information (Booking number, Name, agreement to accept offers etc. and was unable to find the reason we were skipped. Sent e-mail to customer service and have had no reply. We are disappointed that we did not receive a answer or the offer.
