  1. As long as other contries have vaccine mandates for unvaccanated people, that means that all cruise lines must adhear to it, for example the Bahamas has a Vaccine mandade that a ship can not even dock to any of there ports with an unvacanated person on it with the exceptions being under 12 and medicaly except, so don't expevt the rules to go away anytime soon.

Now I dont know what to book.  I guess I will have to call Carnival and ask and wait on hold for an hour or two.  I really wanted to book me and my husband something just by ourselves.  Can we do that and have our daughter stay on the ship with another family member?

I don't think so, I think becuse you are traveling with an unvax, you must take bubble tour as well, check with John Heald though

  3. Mods if this is unacceptable or the subject is unacceptable please delete, I am not trying to start a mask vs no mask discussion.

Assuming the policy of all unvacanated guests must ware a mask at all times outside of there state room, except under certian situations, if a child under 12 is caught running around without one what will happen? Or if there parent is not parenting them and telling them to put it on ect?  What should/will happen.

  4. On Topic I have to say this, I have no, absolutly no symothy for any person who can not sail on carnival becuse they are so selfish that they want to endanger everybody by not getting there vaccine. I also don't feel sorry for the parents who booked there kids on the ship, this is a pandimic, and you want to put your kids at risk? If any memeber of your unvacinated party gets covid everybody linked would get put off the ship at the first port, and have to get home on your own. The ones I feel sorry for are the people who ligitmly can not get the vaccine, and the children that will be disapointed they can not go.

  5. To all of you who are complaining about Vaz vs non vax, and complaining about children ot being allowed, or allowed, I really don't care if you intend to get your kid vax or not, your dission(I would advise at least consulting a pedetriton before either way), think about the public relation nightmare Little Johnny gets on the Horizon with Mom Dad, Sissy, Bubby, Grandma, Grandpa, and a few aunts and Uncles and cousins.  They are having a blast on sail away, The next day little Johnny is not feeling well,  but nothing major, the second sea day lille Johnny is complaining about a sore throt, so Mom takes him down to the infermary, and he has covid, so they all get qurentened in there cabins, the entire family, no big deal right?  well they get to there first port of call, Aruba, and the entire family gets forcably disenbarked and stranded on the island.. That is why no one that is not Vacinated will not be allowed, how would you feel if you brought your kid on a cruise and you and them got stuck on an islanad?

Deleted.  It's not worth it.  Those who think cruises should have different mandates than hotels, restaurants, bars, and amusement parks will never understand.

I personaly don't think that cruise ships should have diffent mandates than land based venues like Hotels bars amusment parks ect, a cruise ship is all that wraped up into one, but, where I do think the mandate is that other contrys have diffrent rules, right now the Bahamas are requiring all passangers be full vacinated before they can come ashore, so If the cruiselines can not check then Nassau, Freeport, and Half Moon is out of all itenarys, I don't know other ports but what if all ports inluding Mexico require proof of vacination? We can't take cruises to nowhere so that is why Desanto's law will be overturned rightfully so.

  7. Looks like I will be pushing back, or getting a refund on my october cruise, there is NO WAY being fully vaccanated will I were my mask at all times on a ship. I will not take my mask off just to take a sip of a drink and put it back on, I will not do the same just to take a bite of food.  If that is what you think a fun cruise is good for you, but that does not sound like fun to me.

They also wear a gown, goggles, face shield, and gloves. If you're going to follow the science, I expect you to be fully-dressed in science.

A strong claim. Care to take bets on that?

People aren't even masked at the grocery story. Some people live in an alternate reality if they think cruisers are going to be masked and/or they will debark the passengers who don't follow it. The current climate says masks are on their way out. No amount of CDC words are going to convince people that cruises are extra scary.

Someone on a ship will take a picture and send it to the CDC and the CDC will shut the cruise line down. Don't you get it, if on a unvaccanated cruise MASKS WILL BE REQURED FOR ALL. If the Cruise lines do not enforce it they will get shut down permantly by the CDC it's noot a State thing it's a fedral thing.

Other than the very beginning of the pandemic, we never had strict lockdowns.  My grandchildren have been going to preschool nearly this entire time.  People have been going to restaurants, parks, and their jobs.  Masks ere required for certain places, but I rarely saw people wear them outside.  Having to wear a mask on the pool deck will be a huge bummer and we will probably just use our balcony during the day if the ridiculous mask requirements for cruise ships on mixed cruises are still in effect.

I am hoping that the mask requirements for everyone go away by August and people who feel like they can't take them off can just keep wearing them.  I do not see Carnival enforcing two different sets of mask requirements.  That would be impossible for their crew members.  With people drinking, it will be even more difficult.  I think Carnival will use the unvaccinated mask requirements for everyone.  It's just annoying that the pool decks and restaurants on a cruise ship can't be treated the same as those on land.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but the CDC reqires you to were your mask on your balcony too, and they do have camras that can look into your balcony/your neibor could report you if you don't.

They won’t be able to enforce mob rule! If anybody thinks ppl will abide by a mask rule and vaccinated, you live in a fantasy land.

If you are on the ship, and a mob takes off there masks at the very next stop if not in port they WILL be debarked and have to find your own way home at your own cost. If you are still in the home port or it happens close you will be debarked with no refund. If Carnival or any other operator does not do this the CDC will shut them dowm.

  11. I am fully vaccinated, and would NOT want to be on a ship that is not vaccanated for the simple reason of an if there is an outbreak, the cruise ends.  If there is even a single case then I would be willing to bet you will not port anywhere and it becomes a cruiise to no where.
