Hardly anyone’s key cards are working they have the stewards in the hallways opening everyone’s doors ...because there is over 500 pissed people at the desk bitchin about having to stay in NO 1-2 nites....it’s like a maiden voyage..comedy of errors....they don’t even have the luggage tags out they have no clue they are so overwhelmed...it’s quite funny...they actually made an announcement that your key cards don’t work in your stateroom but you can still buy things so don’t worry....I hope they loose many millions on this disaster, they deserve it...
That’s all you have done is complained on several posts since you have been inconvenienced due to the weather! People have lost their homes and loved ones, I think your being over traumatic. And then to wish NCL looses millions is pretty childish! Sit back, grab a drink and think how good you have it right now!

I always bring packing tape to reinforce the bag. Also, rolling clothes real tight help get a lot in the little bag.

Just wondering if they guarantee all 7 will be on the same flights being as you have 2 cabins booked? That's also something I'd take into consideration.
We just inquired on the air Monday and was told we are not guaranteed to be on the same flight nor are we guaranteed a direct flight. We were told it could be several layovers meaning it could possibly be a indirect flight.
Traveling with kids I couldn’t chance that.

Does anyone know if the Jade does the glow party?

Too bad the guy that was "screwed" by NCL had not booked this one. Getting a full refund and half off the next cruise. NCL is on the bad end of that
deal.
He still would have something else to complain about!!!

I had my luggage held due to a steamer being in it last summer on a Baltic cruise. Had to go down to security to take it out of my suitcase and have them store it until we disembarked.

Looking for recommendations on shuttle service from Embassy Suites in Newark going to the Manhatten Pier. Trains are out of the question since there will be a total of 12 of us including children.
Also, is the train/subway station with walking distance to the Embassy Suites?

Hi guys....When I log into My NCL..it says my cruise is 96 days out....I thought I could prebook dining reservations at 90 days (not in suite this time).....but when I click on a restaurant (just to see what it said)..message was "too early"...I know that...but says to come back on July 18th !! which is surely not 6 days from today....
We are on the same cruise and it states 18 July for us as well. I'm going to call NCL tomorrow and ask for clarification on the 90 days out.

We have always brought flowers on board when we board and replenish on longer cruises well in port. We did this ion our Baltic, Mediterranean, Alaska and Caribbean cruises.

I asked our booking agent yesterday and she said they no longer offer military any insentives.

Interesting. According to the website these are their hours:
Youth Program Hours
Sea Days Port Days
9 am - noon 9 am - 5 pm
1 pm - 5 pm 6 pm - 10 pm
6 pm - 10 pm
Huh, even though I am spacing it is not putting them in.
These have always been the hours on sea days on the last 6 cruises we have been on. I just spoke to Princess Friday and was yet told again the same thing. Also, if you are spending the night in port, ie. St Petersburg Russia, the hours are from 8-5 and 6-midnight.

We feed our girls (5,6 & 8) in the buffet and send them to kids camp so we can enjoy our dinner in the dining room and relax. The last cruise, we brought them to the dining room on the last formal night and they did fairly well but were ready to go by the time we were served our main course to say the least.

I'm actually on the Regal leaving Venice on the 19th of June. We have three girls (4,5, & 7). I will post here when we return and share with you on ow kid friendly the ports are.
-
Your not crazy! We are going with our girls (4.5,&7) this June on the Regal. My girls love cruising. We actually will leave them on the ship at kids camp for some of the ports.
-
Sure hope it's implenmented on the Regal in June!:)

You are wrong. The paragraph you reference is regarding two small ships that do not have dedicated facilities for kids. As stated before' date=' I was on a Princess cruise with fewer than 20 club-aged kids and the club had regular hours. If a ship has a kids club, there is kids club staff living on board. Are you thinking the cruise line gives them the entire time off if there are just 19 kids on board?
Here is the paragraph you reference.
[b']Small Ship Sailing[/b]
Children are welcome on all Princess cruise ships, but facilities vary. Ocean Princess and Pacific Princess do not have dedicated Youth Centers or Teen Lounges. Programs are available on these vessels only when 20 or more children ages 3 to 17 are sailing.
Group kidsitting is not available on Ocean Princess and Pacific Princess.
Okay so I guess those two are now not mainstream cruises. Nor in Oceaia since they don't have a kids club.
As I said some ships only open there clubs if the minimum number of children aren on board. All I stated was, call to double check whatever your sailing may be to insure the kids club is running to ease your mind.
Thanks for chastising me....

I don't know who keeps spreading these rumors- the youth program is always open unless there are ZERO children onboard. I have been told this on all the mainstream lines. My son and I did a California Coastal Cruise in May and there were never any kids in the youth program but the teen and youth centers were open anyway.

Guess you don't consider Princess a mainstream cruise line! I have been on Hal and Carinval and have been told the same thing. So please don't imply I'm spreading rumors.
-
Who do you call and when? I tried to do this on our last cruise, and the RCI rep told me that they did not have access to total number of children on board. I emailed the concierge, and he sent me the data but only a week or so before our cruise (when the ship got the final tallies from corporate). I would love to find this data out before our next cruise, and at least have estimates before final payment.
I've done this three times with Carnival right before we booked and now twice with Princess. I call the customer service line for the cruise line. We book at least 5 months out and each time, they have had enough kids already booked to tell me yes the kids camp will be opened. In October, we booked the Regal for the 12 days sailing out of Venice in June 2014 and they had already had enough to open the kids camp. I believe they need a total of 20 kids in the a certain age groups to open the camp. Like I said if the camp isn't open, we don't sail, I have a 4, 5, & 6 year old.
-
I always call the cruise lines and ask if the kids club will be open for the sailing I'm on. They have the numbers and can tell you. For our family, it's a make or break if it's not open.

Crazy to think you would tip what oh would pay a babysitter. I'm paying over $9,500 for just my 3 girls to cruise in June and it would cost me another couple thousand dollars if I'd tipped what I paid my sitter.

Thank you for breaking this down for the complainers! Looks like nothing will ever stop them from complaining and blaming NCL! NCL has nothing to do with TSA & airport security!!
