You can check out Goff's Caye, it's only 30 minutes away from port by Boat. It's a relaxing island and makes good grounds for snorkeling.

A nice Horse Back Riding in the Jungle and viewing the river, possible monkeys and scenery is doable through Way To Go Tours Belize since you folks wouldn't mind doing some hiking and adventure. For you guys I'd consider a Tour of the Jungle / Horse Back riding in the Pine Savannah area. It's a very educational and adventurous excursion to do while in Port especially for people of your age. Hey, if you are interested in doing the Altun Ha Tour and not use the ship it is best to go locally. There are many Taxi operators outside of the Port Area, you should look into booking with one of them. I went with mrbelizecavetubing last i was there.

So my family and I have booked with, mrbelizecavetubing.com to go to Altun Ha in December. We've done cave-tubing before with butts up last year in April where we got to see some Iguanas, and we've decided to do something different this year. I'm very excited about the tour as it states that we are going to get a chance to be in the rainforest as well and I was just wondering if there is any chance that we might run into any Iguanas again at this time of the year? They're Beautiful Creatures :)
