  1. That is a change! Or perhaps there was no one that tried to smoke out there. Were there signs?

Passengers were certainly smoking last year on the Connie...in March and May. Also smoking on the Equinox, port side OV/Sunset bar last month. ;)

We did back to back cruises on the Constellation January 16 to 29th,2015. There was no smoking allowed at all by the Oceanview Bar.

  2. We are going on Constilation Feb.21 and also booked in aqua class. Just curious if there were any items in Blu that were offered each night but not on the menu? I love pasta and have been able to order it on all my past cruises. Did you do any tours ?

Escargot, Shrimp Cocktail, French Onion soup, Chicken, Salmon, New York Strip, some kind of pasta, cheese cake, chocolate cake, ice cream, apple pie ala mode. St Bart's had very limited tours, so we walked around and ended up at shell beach. St Croix: Rainbow Beach, Cozumel: Nachi Cocum, Key West: Just walked to Duval Street, shopped, had a drink and lunch.

  4. Just returned from a b2b on the Constellation , Jan 16 to Jan 29, 2015. We haven't been on the Constellation since 2004. This was our 10th cruise with Celebrity and 27th overall. Stayed in stateroom 9104. We couldn't find too many reviews on 9104. What a great stateroom! Location was perfect, very close to middle elevators, total privacy from above(oceanview café), no noise from above. This was our 1st time in Aqua and Blu was amazing! Since we eat early and were always one of the first at Blu, we were at table 5 every night. Waiter Joey, assistant waiter Darko, sommelier Giamo were awesome! Food and service were the best. Breakfast was also excellent, great service and everything nice and hot. Just booked 2 more 14 night cruises on Eclipse in Aqua. Can't wait! We love everything about Celebrity! On our b2b day we checked out deck 11 Aqua staterooms. We will do our best to answer any questions.

  5. We are finally doing our first B2B cruise . An 8 night followed by a 5 night cruise out of Ft Lauderdale . On the 5 night do they cut back on the elite perks? 1 item dry cleaning, 2 items ironed, wine tasting, afternoon tea , free internet minutes? Also, anyone have any insight on the process on turn around day?

    Thanks!

  6. Hi, We're 2 families looking at the Celebrity Summit to Bermuda with our teens and I'm torn between Ocean view (07) and Inside combos on deck 2 versus a Balcony(2A) and Inside combos on deck 7. We've always taken a balcony for the adults but there is a $1000 price difference so we thought we might try the Ocean view this time. A thousand dollars could go a long way in covering some of the excursions and extras we might like, but I don't want to ruin the cruise experience. This is our first time to Bermuda so I'm not sure if how the cruise experience compares to Caribbean voyages. Any thoughts? Thanks for your help.

We usually book a balcony but on the Millennium and Summit we actually have had inside 3106 a few times. That hall near the Guest Relations desk is really a great location.

  7. Just booked our 1st back to back. We have the same cabin both cruises. Wondering what the procedure is between the 2 cruises. Thanks!

Forgot to mention it's out of Ft Lauderdale.

  8. Thanks for the review. We have the same cabin but not until December. Way off but time will go fast. We always pick Select Dining. Love it.

You will enjoy Aqua class. The cost was just too much on this cruise to justify be we love Aqua. We'll see if there are any major price changes, it may happen yet.

    enjoy,

    Duane

You will love that cabin. Location is great and balcony is amazing. We are excited to be trying Aqua. The price dropped below our C1 catagory so we went for it.

  9. We were also on the 1/10 Equinox sailing and agree, it was wonderful. We had a terrific waiter and assistant in MDR. We had select dining at 6:30 each night so they they gave our group the same table every night.

We did eat in Murano but we weren't overwhelmed. Food was excellent...too rich, and the service took too long. We've eaten in Murano and many of the other specialty restaurants before, but unless you get a freebie or must use up OBC, I feel it is unnecessary.

We booked next January's Buenos Aries to Valparaiso on board which gave us great value. Cabin upgrade, $250 OBC, 1-2-3 Promotion, excellent cabin location. We were also able to transfer our Rez to a TA (major "box" store) and get their $450 OBC.

Besides our waiter this was such a great cruise. Our next cruise we are trying Aqua class . The next cruise that we have concierge class I think we will try select dining. On princess we really like anytime dining. Do you know the hours for select dining?

  10. This was our 25th cruise and our 30th wedding anniversary. We are Elite status with Celebrity.

Pre cruise (Excellent)1 night at Courtyard by Marriott in Ft Lauderdale Beach. Very nice hotel, great location, close to restaurants and beach. Next day took taxi to ship at 11:30 am(much later than we usually arrive)

Embarkation (Good) Every other Celebrity Cruise we've been on was excellent. We had a choice of Elite or Concierge Class check in line. We chose Elite and realized they only had 2 check in workers in Elite and there were about 25 people in line. Concierge line was longer to start but way faster with 5 check in workers. Usually we are onboard with 15 minutes , this took over an hour. No big deal..10 wonderful days ahead!

Ship (Excellent) Great condition and simply beautiful ...we love the S Class ships.

Stateroom: 1044 Concierge Class: (Excellent) great location near front steps and elevator. Angle balcony was amazing and big. Just a little smaller than the aft balconies on M Class ships.

Stateroom Attendant (Excellent). We asked him (Gino) to empty mini fridge, bring some extra wire hangers and if at all possible could we get wine instead of the bottle of champagne. Within an hour all were done and even brought us 4 wine glasses. He gave us this service for the whole cruise. He was.. well.. Excellent!

Dinner: MDR Early seating table 115...table for 2 but not really because 3 tables lined up about a 1 1/2 ft apart. The waiter served the 3 tables pretty much as one, even waiting for all couples to arrive so he could start.

Our waiter and assistant waiter (Poor) Sorry but just poor!!!! They just didn't work well together..at all! We have had 25 cruises and we always think service is very good to excellent. Example and this is just one example....one dinner we are waiting for our entrée. Haven't seen the waiter or assistant in 15 minutes. We are finished appetizer, soup and salad. Tables next to us are pretty much done their entrée. The assistant comes out and realizes our plates are still sitting at the station. He then serves it to us. As he's giving us the plate the waiter comes back and must have realized it had to be cold because he came right over and grabbed the plates apologizing for it being cold. We had not said a word. He was correct as I touched it and it was cold. Now we wait for the next 2 plates and the people at the table next to us are leaving and the assistant is setting that table for the late seating as we are just starting our main course. Still, not cooking or cleaning is great. Just surprised to see this service on Celebrity. 24 out of 25 being excellent is still great odds!

Room Service: (Excellent) Concierge Class breakfast menu and great service.

Silk Harvest (Excellent) The best service, very nice atmosphere and great food.

Café al Bacio (Excellent) great service, very friendly staff ,used this everyday because we had the classic drink package. Everything on that drink menu is included with that package.

Oceanview Café (Excellent) food was very good, many choices and stations are spread out ,so it never seems like some other ship lines at the buffet. Servers walking around for soft drinks. Great service.

Mast Grill (Excellent) very good cheese burgers, fries. Nice venue for out near pool.

Pizza (Good) This has been changed since our last cruise. For my personal taste I like the way they made it before. Just ok but that didn't stop me from eating a slice or two everyday!

Pool Attendants (Excellent) always walking around clearing towels off unused loungers. Also, great crowd on this cruise, not the normal get up at 630 and save many chairs crowd.

Celebrity staff (Excellent) Everyone is always greeting you with a smile and hello!

Captain's Club Host (Excellent) very friendly, just a pleasure to talk to.

Classic Drink Package (Excellent) limited wine selection for dinner but that was fine as we liked the classic choices. You can also go to any bar( except Martini bar) and get a smaller martini with the Classic Package). Bar waiters are very friendly and Head Bar Waiter(as usual) Carlo is the best! We always seem to run into him even on many of our cruises.

Barbados: We read about this excursion in cruise critic awhile back and independently booked Silver Moon Catamaran. We went with the 12 person Cat as we just did this in November also and loved it. It was just as good this time. This is our favorite catamaran excursion ever. The Best!!!!!!!

Another great Celebrity Cruise. Looking forward to our next cruise on the Constellation. Thank you Celebrity!

  11. We just got off the Connie yesterday and had 9110, 9112 and 9114. Everybody loved their cabins and the attendant Angelo and his asst. 9110 was very quiet and nobody looked down at us that I ever saw while on the balcony. Our shower did not leak but did have quite a lot of pressure and settings to learn. Eating in Blu was fabulous on this trip, the staff is the best I have seen in Blu. We had the premium drink package and had no problem getting drinks anywhere, even the theater.

9108 and 9110 are the two cabins we are considering moving to. Did you happen to notice the cleaning mechanism to your left close to 9104?https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-IiUghQNwpF8/Us2srzLcaNI/AAAAAAAABKU/VDsNvolykBE/w1082-h722-no/IMG_5226.JPG

  12. Blu is on deck 5, next to the back elevators. We just got off the Connie yesterday and ate every meal possible in Blu. The food was wonderful and the staff very accommodating. Special shout out to host Alex, Ernie and Bernie (wait staff), Yuli and Onlur (drinks). You will love the ambience and views.

    Thanks!

  13. Just upgraded to 9104 last week (there are several other room choices)...I love that it is right by the stairs.

Can anyone confirm the cleaning mechanism is stored right there??!!

We are still trying to find out about the cleaning mechanism but for us 9104 location is perfect. We love being close to the steps and elevators and only a deck away from the pool. There are still many A2 staterooms available if we change our mind. We almost switched to 9108 last week but decided to wait and hope someone will have an answer about the cleaning mechanism.

  14. I'm guessing you're not Elite. The upgrade to A1 would be a great move, if you were.

We are Elite but the only A1 staterooms available were on deck 11 port and starboard not aft. I liked this location (constellation 9104..mid ship)much better. Now I'm seeing pictures with this cleaning device just outside the corner of the balcony. Getting ready to move down 2 cabins.

  15. These boards are invaluable!

We had originally booked a C3 for $50 more pp over a regular balcony. It is for our 20th anniversary so DH said balcony for sure & I liked the slightly larger balcony and the few extra perks.

WELL...after watching these boards, I snagged a C1 Aft balcony (HUGE) for only $20 more pp.

Checked prices again...now Aqua class for only $10 more pp!

Asked DH--what does he think? (usually he has no opinion). They self-acclaimed non-foodie says--"We have our own restaurant for $10 each TOTAL? Book it!"

We did several specialty restaurants on Allure & loved the service & food...he was sold after that.

This is our first Celebrity cruise--hear we will be very spoiled by starting with AQ!

Thanks for all the great info here!

We did the same thing for our next cruise on the Constellation. We had C1 Aft and moved to Aqua. We have had the Aft cabin with the large balcony on previous cruises but felt this was a perfect price and opportunity for us to try Aqua and Blu.

  16. I just read a recent member review who states the bevergae package is no longer unlimited and there is now a limit of number of drinks you may have. They state this is new in Jan. 2014....can anyone verify this?

We were just on the Equinox and there was no limit. Even on disembarkation morning we had 2 specialty coffees. They said it was good until we left the ship.

  17. we have stayed in both 9108 and 9110 on the millenium and infinity and they are excellent cabins with no noise from above...they are under a carpeted seating section of the buffet area.

We really like 9104 but in more than one picture we've seen the rail cleaning device outside of that balcony. In 9108, could people in the buffet see straight into your balcony and 9110 with the porthole window in the floor above? 9104 to 9118 are available at this time. Such a tough decision.
