I have been reading this and wondering what is going on.  I just booked a cruise on Millennium for May 2nd, 2024 with no problem at all.  Had originally booked for May 27th but then realized that would impact out granddaughters high school graduation so had them rebook us to the May 2nd 13-day cruise.

So I am still now clear what 2024 sailing are being cancelled and who is saying Millennium will not be in Japan in 2024.

We will be joining you on the May 2nd 2024 sailing. We are in Aqua A1 and they are sold out now. 🤞🏻

    Cheers!

  2. WE spent 14 days on Reflection this past March. We have sailed Reflection 3 times and also Silhouette 3 times. I would sail Silhouette before I would sail Refection.

Just for some reason we walked off Reflection saying we think it’s the last time we will sail on her. We enjoyed Refection last year for 14 days but the Reflection vibe just had changed.

But each persons experience is their own. Like food very subjective.

    Cheers!

  3. Late to the conversation on 43, but it is a fantastic drink. I found out that Celebrity carried it over our winter cruises. A double every night before turning in. Mmmmmmm!

Just a comment on service, we sailed Equinox Reflection and Beyond all B2B Side to side this winter. We found the bar service on Beyond was the worse. As was said they could stock the bar or as we called them “swoopers”. They would come by swoop up your empty glass and not ask can I get you something else. Reflection and Equinox was fantastic!

Not sure the attitude or training on the E class ships. I will say however the Retreat on Edge, when she came out, wasn’t bad.

    Cheers!

This is the number one reason why I really don't like shore excursions booked through the cruise lines.  I mean I get it, a bathroom break, but when you have to stop and wait for 50 people to use the restroom, it is so annoying!  So as much as I can, I book independent tours.  Sometimes you have to find a way to spend that shipboard credit though!

Well said, we do not do cruise tours because I always say the only person I’ll wait for in a bathroom break is my DW!

At dinner last night a couple came over to introduce themselves.   They don't participate on CC but @countess5 sent them screen shots of Iain pinching the sculpture's rear and me with the feather hat on.      After chatting they said they may just have to find out what CC is all about.

    Really fun couple.

    Wow!

I am so glad you met Carol and Andy. A great couple we cruise with and will be in Japan with next May! Sorry for the pics I shared, all I had at the time but it does express your great personalities!

The pic they sent us of you guys is a lot better! 😂

  6. Hi Jim!

Just catching up on the thread! Looking forward to following you this time! 😂

We actually have friends that are on Apex with you right now. Andy and Carol who live near us. They are in the Retreat also. If you happen to run  Into them please give our best!

Loved the Apex when we sailed her but have to say I like Beyond a bit more. Just a bit more on her.

So sorry for your travel challenges. Our friends had the same issue but coming down from PA.

Sail on and have a great time!

    Cheers!

Love Carib!  do you know there is a Blue Carib? More alcohol content. Found out about it in Antigua this past winter.

I turned my Nephews on to it. Last night the one texted me with a pic of a Carib, I asked where he was and he said at a friends house but he saw it in the liquor store and thought of me so he bought it. He is working himself into the will! 😂

    Cheers!

This is sad to see. During our 47 day cruising adventure this past winter we saw more of this Sargassum heading towards Mexico. We visited Crown Bay twice this past winter and never saw this. Not a fan of Crown Bay and this doesn’t help.

There is a 5,000 mile across Sargassum heading for Florida and the Gulph. 😩

    Cheers!

Just read this again, darn auto correct, Gulf! 😂

  10. Following along and finally caught up on the read. We will be sailing Millennium around Japan next May. Would like to ask if you could post some pics of the common areas. Would like to see how the revolutionizing of the ship went. So far pics you have posted looks like she is looking good.

    Thanks for posting!

    Cheers!

  11. I believe you are going to get different opinions because I am sure people have had different experiences.

My experience is that each bartender is going to handle it differently. I say that because of the classic vs premium package ( I know you are not purchasing a package) but my point is that last month while cruising people would order a drink, then show their card and having the classic package, the bartender would say that drink  is not included in the classic package. Some bartenders let it go and some charged the difference.

I guess they could do the same with the Elite benefit.

    Cheers!

  12. Last month we spent 14 days on Beyond, Booking on board isn’t an issue but as said be a bit flexible. There is a table down by guest services where reservations are made. You can try a restaurant when you board but we never found anyone there. That’s including when we sailed Edge and Apex. Again our experience

I would dine at Eden before LV. Very disappointed in LV. We only do specialty restaurants. We spent 47 days this winter on 3 ships and Eden was the best. LV was in our dining package we bought, if you are paying one at a time the cost of LV in my opinion is not worth it.

Very small dining room no atmosphere and the food underwhelming.

But as I say food and dining is very subjective so I only share my opinion.

Enjoy the Beyond! It’s a great ship!

    Cheers!

    A couple of questions;

    1) I assume this works the same for blackjack? OBC to promo chips, winnings paid in real chips.

    2) If, by chance, you have promo chips still left, can they be transferred back to OBC? Or only good to continue playing?

    thanks.

I would say it does, I played a little BJ and they paid in real chips. The staff actually helps you. When I would back up a bet using real chips they said I should use the OBC chips.

I would think you could take the unused OBC chips  and ask to have them turned into slot credit. Place it in a slot and make a couple of pulls then cash out. Haven’t tried turning OBC chips into slot credit but you never know.

    Cheers!

  14. Was on Reflection about 3 weeks ago. Had $370 of OBC remaining the last night. Went to the casino, asked for slot credit. Put the voucher in Wheel of Fortune. DW played $10 bets (max) 3 times, on the third time she hit spin and when the wheel stopped it was on $250.

I cashed out, machine produced a voucher and the cashier paid cash on the total amount. The OBC and winnings was all on the same voucher.

On Beyond the week prior played craps with the OBC chips. Each time I bet and won they paid in real chips. Always played the OBC chips when betting before I used the real chips.

    Cheers!

Today’s canapés was the green peas edition…. (I wish they could have more rotation on the plate) or just a good fruit plate.

Fun concept🍹 But they can polish it a bit more and make it even better🙃

Mr was very happy for the selection of drinks🍸

We agree with your assessment of the event. Polish needed, they served you the same drinks we had on our ships. Looks like you had a bit more bartenders though.

    Cheers!
