Yes. We actually didn't need to go looking for food. More a lifelong interest in the different McD menus in different countries.
Spending time drinking and eating off ship never a big attraction for me. Given that where I live there is no shortage of really good Mexican food.
Fair enough, actually that’s pretty cool. I remember being surprised to see spam and rice at McDonald’s in Hawaii. -

That's a shame re JB.
Wonder if they run it on the 5 Day short cruise?
When in PV we hit up the McD inside the mall.
You don’t mean McDonald’s do you? 🤔I don’t mean to judge, but…with all the great food options in Puerto Vallarta you eat at McDonald’s? Okay sorry I guess I am judging you 😂

I’ve never been to Cabo when there were three ships there at the same time. I wonder if that is the reason for the strange port times on this itinerary. Do they try to stagger the times for three ships?

Hey tripleboom, great trip report! I really appreciate you spending the time to do this and all the great pictures and details you included. It sounds like you guys had a great trip.

On bliss now, think some of the dates/times have changed. For example believe first showing of six is on day 2.
Do you guys have Jersey Boys this week? I don’t see it on these dailies. -

What I don’t get is….how does one dude go through so much laundry in a week? Greg are you making multiple outfit changes each day or what? 😆 -
In old town stop by Barrachina’s for mofongo and pina coladas. They claim (as many others do) to be the place the pina colada was invented.
But “Karl”…I’m not sure if they serve any of them French fried per-taters that you like so much 😂

Also should note for this thread that they have increased DSC for Club Balcony Suites. Not sure why they think it should be much closer to Haven DSC than Balcony DSC.
I will also note this will probably not make me change out of our current M6 bookings...love those balconies!
How much are the service charges?
For bookings made on or after April 1, 2020, that prepay their service charges before their sail date:
-
- $18.50 USD per person per day for The Haven and Suites;
- $18.00 USD per person per day for Club Balcony Suite;
- $15.50 USD per person per day for all other stateroom types
https://www.ncl.com/ca/en/cruise-faq/what-is-onboard-service-charge
That’s odd. I’m booked in a Club Balcony Suite in January and ours are still $15.50. And I booked well after April 1, 2020.

These teams are… special. And not like Gronk and USAA. But it’s a FL cruise so the dolphin fans are doing it big here.
Ugh. Worst commercials ever. So awkward!

The bar opened after the first snorkeling stop. Coors light, rum and sodas and water available. After the 2nd snorkeling stop, the lunch buffet opened. Make your own sandwiches, pasta salad, potato salad, hard boiled eggs, fruit, and coleslaw. I get my food and realized that while I was in line, my seating area turned into the regurgitation station. Whole side of the boat has their heads in buckets. So I take my sandwich elsewhere.
Then the sails go up and we sail along the coast for an hour and a half. They had music going and they took pictures you could purchase at the end. It was nice. We ended at Playa Dorada at the golf course. Same beach exit as we got on. Got on different buses and drove back to port. It was probably a good 6 hour excursion and I enjoyed it even without snorkeling.
Wow, it was rough enough for that many people to get seasick? 🤢

Thanks for the info. I’m guessing they must be sold out on my cruise then.

I’ve never tried upgrading before but I got the offer today and I was curious to check it out. I have a club balcony and I was only interested in upgrading it to a spa balcony, but it only allows me to bid on Haven rooms. Does that mean the spa balconies are sold out?
-
When you say the spa was dreadful and that you’ll never set foot in there again, is that just based on the haircut experience? Or did you spend time in there besides that?

I’m going to be fine. Dinner, packing, shows. I’m traveling tomorrow. I don’t need to drink all night.
Hey Greg I’m curious about your tolerance level. On these days when you maxed out at 15 drinks, were you ever drunk or were they spread out enough throughout the day that you just had a pleasant buzz?- 1

For stone island, go through the cruiseline. We went through a tour company called “mazatlan tours” and it was really confusing. Was hard to find them at the port, then they wanted to take us back for the ship at 3, which was cutting it too close for comfort so we asked for 2pm, so our tour guide worked out some sort of deal with the cruiseline excursion people and we sort of merged on their excursion, which really confused a lot of the people in that excursion. I originally was going to book via the cruiseline but my friend wanted to do this other company, but yeah I should have insisted. Heres some photos of stone island excursion
the thing with the horses, I shouldn’t have ridden them, but I agreed before I realize the abuse that was happening to these horses. The whole time I apologized to my poor horse. There is a lot of vendors at stone island, be prepared for that, water was not clear but temp was good (red tide was going on yesterday)
Wow that’s pretty disturbing about the horses. Can you elaborate on that? We have an outside excursion booked for the same thing but now I’m second guessing it.

Think I was going to try to get there an hour early. I definitely want a seat.
ok I’ll be rooting for those saints along with you. All I’m asking for is 37 points from ***** Callaway, no big deal- 1

What’s your plan for the game Greg? Are you gonna get there early to secure a seat or just wing it? It would be nice if you could find a place with a server so you don’t have to lose your place every time you go for a drink.

Welcome to the west coast Greg, where Monday night football starts and ends at a perfectly reasonable time! I always feel bad for people on the east coast who have to stay up until 11:30 to see the end of the game. Don’t you people have to get up for work in the morning? 😆

Greg I say put the tooth in and you'll probably get used to it. You might run into the blonde on deck 8 again, you will need to shoot your best shot.

New to Carnival, beverage package question
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
I was wondering if Carnival ever has promotions where the beverage package is included like some of the other cruise lines do. I’ve gotten spoiled on my last several by having it included and not having to pay separately for it. After pricing out a 7 night cruise on the Panorama I was shocked to see that the beverage package for two would be almost as much as our cruise fare! 😳
