We only need one device to be online at a time. Are the rules that it has to be the same device? I have a phone and an iPad. Do I have to pick one?

I admit it - I don't have the energy to read through the whole thread ;p. We were on Freedom of the Seas a couple years ago and they had they Freestyle pop machines. I am wondering if Liberty of the Seas has finally gotten them.
TIA!

Hi All,
We always explore the islands we visit. We picked our cruise because it stops in Jamaica and this is one of the few islands we have not visited.
However, we are increasingly concerned about the safety of the island. We have heard tours have armed guards, people need escorts to visit ATM machines, etc. Our port is far from some of the places we thought we'd like to visit (i.e., Dunn's River Falls).
What have been your experiences? Safe or best not to leave the port area? We are a family of four with two teenagers.
TIA!

Enhanced room service menu - $7.95 charge per order/room except for continental breakfast is still free
Will be effective on all Royal Caribbean ships by end of May 2017
Is there an updated breakfast menu?

Not sure if I missed a reply, but I click on the link and it says no posts and it goes to a random business site. We are sailing on LOS in January, so this will be very helpful.

We booked the Hampton because we only needed one night pre-cruise (many we called had a two night minimum). The website said they had a shuttle, but I found out from a post on CC that they discontinued the shuttle. I called and verified that the shuttle was discontinued (their shuttle broke down and they are not planning on replacing it).
I have looked on the taxi websites for Galveston and cannot see rates. From the map, the hotel does not look too terribly far from the port, but we are wondering if it is worth it to continue looking for a different pre-cruise hotel with a shuttle or stay put and pay the taxi.
TIA!

We just booked the Hampton Inn and Suites for a pre-cruise one night stay (one of the few that did not have a two-night minimum). The amenities list cruise shuttle for a surcharge. Has anyone done this and are willing to share what the surcharge is?
Also, those who have stayed here, what is close to see for the day/evening that is walking distance?
Thanks!

The ice show was probably the best show we watched.

on our november 2016 liberty cruise the order was mojo, saffron, basil, pimento, shi*take, jasmine, and pomodoro.
Thank you!!

We were in an Owner's suite on Freedom of the Seas (cabin 1340) on deck 10 mid-ship and I never noticed any noise all week. We actually booked this same cabin on Liberty of the Seas for next January.

Could anyone who has been on recently post the order of the menus (I have copies of all the menus)? Similar to the thread starter, we will be on LOS and want to see the order (I do know that by the time we sail, it may switch up) to plan for specialty dining.
-
The photo packages are easily purchased on the ship and very often will offer deals. We ended up not purchasing the whole package with digital images until later in the cruise (we were on Freedom of the Seas in Jan 2016) and got a price break.

I actually thought of that but didn't bother because we have the late seating and I figured it'd be dark. Think I should follow up and ask for that as well?
You are correct - we requested a window table last on FOS in January 2016 and we had the early seating (5:30) and it was dark already - time of year issue (plus the deck our seating was on had a deck walkway outside our window that was utilized by crew, so we saw crew members walking back and forth). It really wasn't an issue. I do like the window seat because there is less "walking around" the table from the waitstaff and other guests.
-
Someone shared a map with table numbers on the Freedom of the Seas but we found out that the tables and numbers change configurations based on the number of passengers at each sitting and table requests. The numbers will be on the tables so when you get on the ship, go wander around the dining room and find your table. If it is not correct, see the staff and they may be able to make changes.

Liberty sails year round from Galveston. Source: Port of Galveston.
As for the Coke Freestyle machines, they are not on Liberty and we were told on our cruse a couple of weeks ago they are only on the larger ships.
That isn't accurate as we sailed on Liberty's sister ship - Freedom of the Seas (EXACT same ship and layout with the exception of the new suite lounge in place of the concierge lounge on LOS) back in January of 2016 and we had the Freestyle machines.
I love how the crew make up information when asked.

I think I read in someone's post that Liberty did not have Freestyle machines. I do not know how old the post was, so I am wondering for you that have been on LOS recently if the Freestyle machines have been added.
We sailed on FOS in January 2016 and they did have the Freestyle machines, so I am surprised that LOS doesn't since it was in dry dock spring 2016.
Any updates would be great - and if they don't have them...any idea why/when they will?

We do the 5:30 seating in the main dining room and request through both our travel agent and then also follow up with a message to rcldining@rccl.com.

We always request a four person table for our family and have always received our request. Our vacations are family time and we prefer to have just the four of us together.

I posted this thread from my phone and it cut off the title - we need suggestions for which Dunn's River Falls tour we should take through RCCL. We usually do not do shore excursions through the ship, but since it is our first time in Jamaica and it is quite a drive to the Falls, I only am interested in a ship organized excursion.
Thanks in advance!

We are a family of four - myself, DH, DS 17, and DD 14. There are multiple excursions to Dunn's River Falls (which we for sure want to go to) through RCCL.
Any suggestions?

We are cruising on Liberty of the Seas in January 2018. I tried to see prices in cruise planner for the beverage packages, but I received an error message that it was either too far out or too close in to the cruise.
How far out does the cruise planner open up?

Eating breakfast to order in The specialty restaurant away from the hustle and bustle of the Windjammer. My children think it is awesome when the concierge walks us off the ship in ports, by-passing the lines. On the Freedom, he shooed people off the elevator and switched the sign to priority service. Talk about feeling like a rock star for a twelve year old!!

We have it for our January 2021 trip - we definitely did not get it for $8000. We are very curious on all the Royal Genie can do for you!
