I haven't noticed this with NCL.  Other than the long haul down from NY to the Caribbean and anything to Bermuda, I can't think of any 7-day cruises I've ever seen with fewer than 4 ports.  Examples please.

That's easy, the sailing I am on.  January 25th - February 1st NCL Jade - 7 day western Caribbean.  Only three ports of call, Costa Maya, Harvest Cay, Great Stirrup Cay.  So it does happen, just not often.

No link, have made friends with several cruise staff. They have the same tale to tell.

Do you want names of my cruise friends? I would never do that, but enough cruise waiters have told me the same story that I tend to believe them.

    Or....They're fishing for a bigger tips.:classic_biggrin:

It would be hundreds less with the promotion applied.

In case you aren't aware, I want to add that there is still a fee for the extra guests.  The govt tax and port fees are charged for those "free" passengers.  For example, our upcoming January cruise was booked with the extra gusts sail free promo but there was a charge of $272.43 CAD each for guests 3 & 4 in our cabin.  So the price difference may not be as substantial as you might think.

We booked through NCL and the agent said it was per person. Interesting to read it’s per cabin.

I think the agent may be mistaken.  My last cruise our Platinum meal vouchers in our cabin clearly stated per cabin on each of them.  Also, as you can see in the screenshot below, it is also clearly stated on NCL's website.  Hope this helps.

It was interesting to check.  We have four future cruises booked currently, but only the Getaway had the odd OX for cabin category.  Other 3 cruises were still the correct category.

It did make me go and double-check the cabin number!

Looks like the issue isn't isolated to just Getaway sailings.  We are booked for a 7 day next month on the Jade and when I logged in to MyNcl mine has also changed, right cabin number but new category.  We are booked in a SC but it now shows as an OX.

Here is a screenshot of the page on NCL's site.  I am only guessing but I think you can't see this info because you are located in the US.  Because of your location you only see the actual ncl.com website.  Here in Canada when I go to ncl.com, I am redirected to ncl.com/ca.  NCL has location specific content for us.  Other sites are available for other countries around the world as well.  Here is the actual address for the page so if you use a VPN service check it out:

    https://www.ncl.com/ca/en/cruise-deals/canada-at-par

NCL has even changed soda to pop on the site because that what it is referred to as here in Canada.  They swapped out every instance of soda and replaced it with pop.  There are a couple times where it isn't used in grammatically correct manner but at least they tried. 🙂

    Hope this helps...

  7. I did the leg work for you and they do have a cell phone lot 1/4 mile from the Black Falcon Terminal. Here is a snippet from the info I located for you.

    Cell Phone Lot

Cruiseport Boston’s cell phone lot is a convenient spot to pick up arriving passengers. It is located a quarter-mile from Black Falcon Cruise Terminal at 22 Fid Kennedy Avenue, just east of the intersection with Tide Street. The lot is open whenever cruises arrive at Cruiseport Boston.

The route from the cell phone lot to the terminal is well marked. Tell your party to call you as they exit the ship. The cell phone lot is only minutes away.

I hope this helps and they have a great cruise!

  8. That's nice, because it isn't Instagram at all. It's twitter.

Pisenor above got it right. NCL's twitter account -- @CruiseNorwegian -- liked a tweet of a pic showing a Princess ship captioned as the Pride of America.

Woo Hoo! I won...thanks trip. Should I expect my prize to arrive in the same timely manner as a refund from NCL? lol ;p

  9. Does anyone know the concierge for the Getaway for March? Fingers crossed it is Adrian Bica!

I am sailing on her in 2 weeks and the pre cruise concierge in formed me that John D'souza will be our concierge. He will be returning from his vacation before we sail on the 15th. I would think it is safe to assume he will still be on board in March as well.

  10. Norwegian Getaway

    Johan Stofling Captain

Hotel Director Errol Bailey until 4/23/17

    Asst HD Evangelos Markozannes

Food & Beverage Director Anil Chinthapattla

Cruise Director Belinda Zheng until mid January then Joy CD

    Executive Housekeeper Jose Omier

    Guest Service Manager Odie Lopez

    Executive Chef Ricardo Pinheiro

    Restaurant Manager Tanberg Dsouza

    Beverage Mgr Aldo Candace

Cruise Next Mgr Melissa De Beer

    Concierge Virginia Brotherton

Asst Concierge Kadek aka Special K

Just to add to your update, when I called the pre-cruise concierge desk for my Jan 15th sailing they informed me that "John" would be the concierge. I asked if she was referring to John D'souza and she said she didn't know as they were only given the first name. I fully expect to be greeted by John D'Souza upon boarding. Looks like John is returning from his vacation sometime between now and the 15th.

  11. Actually the emoji you used was "eek". To me that indicated the thought of cruising with children frightened you. I do appreciate you wanting to check with me before all your posts but not necessary. You see, by ending that statement with the NOT statement indicated it was in jest. Apparently you can make a joke and people can see the lighter side of the statement, unlike your first post to OP. Nothing in that post indicated any attempt at humor. The only thing it portrayed was the fact that you are frightened to cruise with kids..... Just sayin'

  12. ANy ship that I am NOT on!

    Second that:D

    Don

It always amazes me how rude some people can be. If you aren't willing too help with the OP's question with a helpful response then don't respond at all. There are lots of people on this board that don't mind children on board and I am one. If you dislike cruising with children that much, find another line. One that caters to the cruising demographic you desire. If you choose a family friendly line then be prepared to sail with kids. In other words, SUCK IT UP BUTTERCUP! Leave your whining at home! Honestly, I wouldn't want to cruise with bad attitudes like yours. I would rather cruise with children over the type of people with attitudes like yours any day!

My children are too old for splash academy but absolutely loved their time there. It is a great program for the children and I am sure they will enjoy it.

  13.

It seems to be compatible with Canada at Par. Does anyone know how much free internet it includes and what the details are on the photo package?

Just an FYI for you but if you are planning to book under "Canada at Par" promo, the "Free at Sea" promos are not available with the Canada at Par.

It is clearly stated on the promo page (as well as in the T&C) for the Canada at Par. Here is a snippet of the promo page and a link to the T&C.

    CANADA AT PAR

    SELECT 2017 SAILINGS

Now Canadians can book the select sailings below with Canadian dollars at par with the U.S. dollar prices. That's close to a 30% cruise discount.

To view the discounted at par price, begin booking the applicable cruise online now. Initially, you will not see the at par price display until you reach the Step 3: Your Rate section. Once there, you will be able to see and select the at par reduced rate.

This at-par promotion is not combinable with our Free at Sea promotion. Check back regularly as applicable sailings are subject to change.

Here is the link to the proper Canada at Par T&C...they are quite different than the Free at Sea T&C

  14. How is this possible? Virtually everyone gets at least one free, and two if booking an oceanview or balcony or above. Last minute booking, some guarantee category which does not qualify for promos?

No perks? Who did you book with? Ncl always has free at sea perks. FYI, as stated above, most of your info is wrong. We prefer the relaxed atmosphere of ncl. And freestyle is the only way to go. We had that itinerary in January and had a great time. We converted our RCI friends to NCL.

OP is booked in a mini suite. I am guessing she booked the MX category because any of the "X" categories (IX, OX, BX, MX) are exempt from the Free at Sea promotions. No perks for these categories only.

EDIT-OP responded and confirmed my guess while I was typing

  15. Hello! NCL will provide distilled water for cpap machines. Have the person requiring the distilled water call the access desk at 1-866-234-7350 to make the arrangements. NCL wants the call to be made at least 30 days prior to departure. You will however need to have your travel companion bring their own extension cord because NCL does not provide those.
