Drats! I have to leave my T-shirts that depict my feelings about Carnival's new soft drink partner at home.

Ooooooh thank goodness I never drink sodas on ships (or very much at all) because I'm with you on that. If I am gonna ever drink one, it's not that one for sure.

  2. Don't think it's an inaugural sailing thing. Many comments on slow service for Sea Day Brunch in general fleet wide (where available, of course). Experienced it personally on Vista. Dunno why. Menu too complicated combined with poor staffing?

Also, had and loved the tower. If you are patient enough to wait!!

what time do the stores on St. Thomas close on a Tues.

Mmm K... What stores? According to Google the mall there is open 10-5 daily. Easy enough to search. But other than that, this is very limited info. Any specific store of note could probably be Googled as well.

  4. Personally I would book as soon as you know for absolutely for sure when/where/what ship. If it's iffy at all, wait until it's solid plan so you don't have to pay a change fee. Otherwise, book under a rate that you get best price guarantee/OBC if price drops.

I cruised on November 14 on Valor. I ordered continental room service for morning delivery every day - an devery day it was wrong.

This happened to us, too! Different week and different ship. It became like a game just to see what would show up. As long as I got something in my stomach and coffee I was OK. Sometimes got lots of cream, sometimes barely any!! Sometimes juice, sometimes not. Sometimes 4 croissants when ordered two, or pastry instead of croissants. No rhyme or reason. Maybe trying to imply you get what you pay for hahaha so you might try the pay side later!

  6. Cannot answer the parking part, but I would look at the ports forum for Baltimore. Definitely have a pre-plan in place for any cruise parking anywhere.

I am thinking this must be your first Carnival cruise or the first in a long time? When you submit your on line information you will pick a check-in time. It will show you what is available. That does not mean the time you will board. It is your check in time for the ship at the port. That is the time you will arrive at the port, so we cannot advise a time. it will be assigned to you and you pick it when you do all your boarding info. Familiarize yourself with everything that needs to be done on line on the website now.

Does anyone have a picture of the door hanger.

I've done a search, but to no avail.  Seems like I used to have a lot better luck searching.  Oh well.

check zydecocruiser. I just Googled and some came up on Pinterest but dunno if they are supper current. Don't think it really changes much. Here is one from Googling (again, dunno how current):

2 of the 4 new menu items don’t have hamburger as an ingredient.

I actually think both the turkey sausage and the veggie frittata patty things sound interesting, and worth giving a shot, especially at no extra charge. But would rather have regular donkey sauce than maple, so may ask to sub. Not a big sweets person.

Totally stinks OP. I’m sorry you missed your cruise. Since the issue with the airline was mechanical you as the consumer had more rights than if it were weather. They would’ve had to book you on another airline at their expense. Even out of another airport if that’s what it took. I know this doesn’t help now but maybe it’ll help someone else in this situation. You just have to go back to the ticket counter and insist.

It shouldn't be this way when there are mechanical issues, but bad airlines hope for people who will not insist. Another problem with your booking (besides not being able to fly in the day before) is that Frontier is certainly one of those bad airlines - horrible reputation for this kind of thing.

Yes, anything that is available later is good for those that sleep later. I’m an early bird, though, up by 6:00, and out for a walk around decks before getting coffee at coffee bar, then breakfast in MDR. But I also saw that there are breakfast tacos at Blue Iguana, and I’d like to try that. I’m all for multiple food choices at all different times.

Love breakfast at Blue Iguana. I pile eggs and salsas on the arepas!

DH brings our 2 bottles of wine with a twist off cap.  The steward will bring you a cork screw, but it is really nice to be able to just screw the lid BACK ON and it is safely closed.  Lots of good wines have screw tops nowadays.

Yes, this is such good advice.

Thanks. Yes, I agree on the Mardi Gras but can't see it on the Radiance.

    Passion for food and fun

'Shaq has brought so much to our brand as chief fun officer and we are always looking for ways to expand on this wonderful relationship and provide our guests with new ways to "Choose Fun,”' Carnival Cruise Line president Christine Duffy said. 'Knowing his passion for food and fun, we’re thrilled to work with Shaq to bring the first Big Chicken at sea aboard the totally transformed Carnival Radiance.'

'Big Chicken has been a dream of mine and now that our land-based restaurant is open, it’s only natural to bring it to sea, as well,' O'Neal said. 'I’m really excited that Carnival Radiance guests will be able to enjoy my own delicious creations alongside all the other great food offerings on board.'

    Lido Deck location

Located aft on Lido Deck, Big Chicken will serve fried chicken favorites, all developed and taste-tested by O'Neal, based on his own recipes. A variety of chicken sandwiches will be featured, with playful monikers inspired by Shaq’s litany of clever nicknames for himself, along with his own take on traditional sides.
