  1. If you haven't already bought trip insurance, you may want to investigate whether if you were to purchase now, you'd be covered in the event there are snow-related issues. I think it has something to do with whether it's a "named storm" as to whether or not you'd be covered at this point, but may be worth finding out.... Hope the storm fizzles out and you have a great uneventful cruise! [emoji41][emoji267][emoji951]

  2. When we booked our 9-night 2017 cruise a couple of weeks ago (and got the 4 dinners), we also received a separate email which showed the 4 nights - so sounds like we'll want to bring that along.... I did notice that the gratuity amount for two was about $5 more than it had been the week before when I had previously booked a different date's sailing

  3. I've tried to figure this out as well (by trying to follow some of the clues/Googling) - we're booked for a Baltic September 2017, and would be very happy to save $ in lieu of one of the promos. Thanks for any further insights!

From the other thread, it seems it may be until March 15?
  4. With one day in Copenhagen before our cruise , I have booked a free walking tour for 2pm, and we can see Trivoli in the evening. With about 2 hours to spend before the walk, what would be good to see that might not be covered on our walking tour? Also, does anyone have a good cheap casual dining suggestion for near town hall or near Kobenhaven station?

Also, with our post day, do you think we would be best to hang in the city or should we try to get out to do a castle tour? Advice appreciated...

Sorry if this is considering hijacking :) but who are you doing the free walking tour with? We had great luck with the free walking tours we booked this past fall in Venice and Barcelona, but will be looking to do one precruise in Copenhagen too - thanks!

  5. ["QUOTE=Demonyte;49051571]If you only need answers to random questions that apparently do not need a personal relationship, why not just call NCL's general customer service number?"

We've never had any luck with our assigned PCC and didn't use him when we booked our fall 2016 cruise. last I week called the general 800 number to ask a question about 2017 bookings. I didn't give my name, but apparently my home phone number set something in motion so I got one of those "I've been trying to reach you" emails from my PCC. He called me to say that he was reaching out since I had called the general number. I've since emailed him twice with actual questions, and haven't gotten any respons.....

  6. We have the absolute BEST PCC and he called us last night to tell us that the Getaway will be open for fall/winter 2017 on Monday the 15th. He asked us which week and suite we wanted to book so he can get it taken care of first thing.

Lucky you on a great PCC and thanks for the info! We're interested in one of the May Baltic sailing's on the Getaway and have been wondering when we'd be able to hold a cabin! Thanks!

  7. HUN, One thing nice about ship tours, you can go alone, not get lost, mugged, or late in returning .Hubby can stay on ship. Plenty of amiable company on coach too.

Ha ha true! I floated that idea and now he's coming on the bus too! I had hoped to add on a few days at the end of our cruise to go to Paris for a few days, but it looks like the port day is our only option for this trip.

NCL offers a Paris day that has a Seine lunch ($70 more) and one without - I've read reviews that the Seine cruise is better as you see more - more does anyone have experience in knowing

  8. We were on a private shore excursion last fall, pickup from Villefranche, where we went to Monaco and Eze with Felicity Riviera Tour and were very pleased. If you can't find them, let me know and I'll look for contact info.

  9. We just took our first Med cruise last fall and were very happy we brought enough Euros from home for our days of private shore excursions and daily spending money. We also used a chip credit card without transaction fees, but we're glad we didn't opt to wait for the Euros until arriving at European ATMs.

We have about 150 Euros which we're saving for our next fall's European cruise! :)

  10. Thanks. This will be the vacation of a lifetime. I don't know the next time we will have the extra money to spend on such an extravagance. I just finished chemotherapy for breast cancer on December 17th, so this is a very special occasion.

Yes, you're got it right. It cost us $5450 for 3 of us total. That included the Ultimate Beverage Package as well which we always like to have. On a 14 day cruise, it would have cost us the extra $2000 just to purchase it. Totally worth it to us. :D

    Enjoy!!

    Have a wonderful cruise!!

  11. For those who have done the ship excursion into Paris (thinking Eiffel Tower), how un/bearable is the long ride back and forth? We just realized last week just how distant it is from Le Havre and I'm up for it, but my husband says "no way".... We did go into Florence and Rome from the ports, but those aren't as far and not sure they compare? Thanks for your thoughts! [emoji5]️
