Depending upon day of the week and traffic it will take 30-45+ for the ride from Port Everglades to MIA.  Uber will cost about $35-40, or a taxi will cost about $75+

For an 11:50 flight you need to be at MIA not later than about 9:50 and earlier is better.  That translates into off the ship, with bags, and clear of customs/immigration before 8:45 or so.

Sounds good. We also have TSA pre check so that should help at the airport in case we get caught up a little bit at port.

We were hoping to get one of the three middle cabins 1140 and either one on each side and we’re very happy that we were able to get 1140! Have not been in it yet but read great reviews look forward to the bigger balcony and since it’s going to Canada I’m sure will not be too loud above with the movies !  I love the idea of easy access to the Sunset bar !

You're going to love it.  Just of the Summit in cabin 1140.  Could not hear any noise when the balcony door was closed.  The extra long balcony was a treat. Quick walk down to the buffet in the morning or for a quick snack or 4.

  3. Just off the Summit.  NFL games were being broadcast.  Lucky enough to get a Seahawks game.  They show 3 games on the Sunday.  One early, one late and the Sunday nighter.  Kinda of a crapshoot as to what games they will show, but if you look in your daily planner they will tell you.

  4. I am usually in the same boat when it comes to OBC as I have too much to use up with perks and extra given to me by Celebrity. If it's a 7 day cruise then I would pay the gratuities before I get on the ship. Use the $300 to do stuff that you normally wouldn't do on a ship. I will:

    1) Book a specialty restaurant

    2) Get laundry done so I don't have to do some of it at home

    3) Bring a couple of bottles of wine that I like onboard for dinner

    4) Transfer to the airport or shore excursions

    5) Duty Free

    6) Spa

It's a good problem to have. Enjoy your cruise

  5. Hello All,

I have found a pretty good deal on a Sky Suite in an accessible room. Although I have no need for the accessible part, I enjoy being in a Sky Suite.

Currently there are 3 of these rooms available for a sailing in November. Should they sell out and someone wants to book who needs an accessible room, what is their protocol? How would you be charged?

I have no problem being bumped down a class or two.

    Thank you for your responses!

  6. This thank you is a long time coming, but hopefully it will give those who are not sure about solo cruising a little more confidence to go ahead and do it.

Last October I took a cruise on the Constellation from Venice through the Mediterranean and with it being my first time cruising solo I didn't know what to expect. I was nervous, I thought I would have too much time on my hands, I thought I would be bored.

Well, none of that was the case. From the moment I got on board I felt like I was part of a huge family. Everyone I met on board was over the top gracious and hospitable and I can honestly say I have never had such a good time. From being invited to birthday dinners to excursions to blackjacks tables and the Martini Bar, thank you to everyone on board. You definitely made my decision to cruise solo a lot easier.

  7. I find it very strange that a company you have dealt with for so many cruises would treat you in such a way. I think a little bit of the problem is that you live so far away. There's no threat of a face to face encounter. It's usually why I don't book with an online TA(that being said if the deal is too good to pass up I would use one in a second).

When you use someone locally I believe it makes them more responsive to you. Not only if there's a problem you can go see them face to face and work on a solution, they would not want to lose you as a customer but everyone you would refer to them. (And no, I'm not a travel agent looking for business [emoji12])

  8. Please give feedback and let us know how this Game of Thrones tour turns out! My husband and I are thinking of the exact same tour in April 2017. Thought the tour sounded like loads of silly fun and interesting facts! The tour leaders were extras in the show and there will be lots of props and behind the scenes info! Yes, it's Dubrovnik Day Tours. I was quoted $54 EURO per person, but I guess if you get a group, you'll get a discount?

I will definitely do that. I was originally quoted 130€ for a two person private tour but we found other who wanted to do it so it turned out to be 7 of us. I will let you know what my final cost was as well.

  9. What are you talking about? Your post doesn't really say anything to explain your complaint.

    You're making no sense.

Sounds like someone didn't like the fact there were a lot of kids on board.

It is not Celebrity's responsibility to look after all the kids. They can only do so much. That's the parents job.

  10. Depending on your flight time from Seattle I would do the Amtrak.

Keep in mind it runs once in the morning and once in the evening. You would still have to get to the airport from downtown.

The flight from YVR is quick and you clear customs before your flight so you don't have to worry about it when you get to Seattle.

  11. Hello,

Need some help with my Vancouver itinerary. Arriving on Monday 1pm and taking Alaska curise on Friday. Staying in downtown near CanadaPL.

Monday - Stanley Park and walk around the city.

Tuesday - Van Dusen Gardens, Queen Elizabeth Gardens with Bloedel Conservatory.

Wednesday - Grouse mountain - Zipline with Peak Experience (Skyride, mountaintop activities and Peak Chair access) and Lynn Canyon only for the bridge

Thursday - Take a ferry out to Bowen Island for a hike.

Question : 1. Can I do grouse mountain and Lynn canyon on the same day?

    2. Is Bowen Island worth the visit.

    3. Place to walk at night Seawall, Canada Pl or anymore

    Appreciate your input.

All sounds good. Do you have a car rental? If not then getting to Bowen Island and back will be by taxi and that might cost you a bit. There are three hikes that I'm aware of. One is to Dorman Point. Short with a little bit of elevation change. But worth the view at the end. The next one is to Killarney Lake. Easy and flat. The other i believe is on the other side of the island and you need a car to get there. Can't remember what it's called.

I did the first two on my last trip and it took about 3.5/4 hours round trip to do both. Also the ferry cost is for a round trip ride.

  12. Are you trying to set up a cash account rather than give them a credit card?

I am travelling before hand for 10 days and I just want to put any extra spending cash that I might have left over into the account and then if I go over still have a credit card on file for anything extra at the end of the cruise.
