  1. I had called before our January 2015 cruise to have them override this rule and they couldn't. Their system says that dinner will last for 2 hours, therefore you can't have a 5:30 dinner and a 7:00 show reserved. I kept my show reservations, and just went to dinner at 5:30...we made it in time for the show.

What's baffling to me is there are no other show times available. I don't know what to do.

  2. My wife and I honeymooned on the Epic and we had an amazing time. I would for sure recommend it. But if I had to be critical, I would say NCL has a bit more of a party atmosphere than some more premium lines. If partying is what you guys want to do, The Getaway is a great choice. But we most recently cruised Celebrity and I must say it has a more classy, relaxed feel. While I love NCL and I'll be sailing the Escape soon, if I had to do it again I would honeymoon on Celebrity as it has a bit more of a swanky feel you would expect on a honeymoon. But with that said, I don't regret us going on the Epic at all.

  3. My little girl is a similar age. We have UBP and are in a group of three adults. We plan to share our Combined 9 Dishes with her. She's doesn't eat the sort of things that are on the kids menu at home and has what we have normally. Plus it's a good way to keep my calorie intake down for the week. :-)

That's a good plan! My wife and I will do the same. We just did that in Disneyland Paris at all of the expensive table service restaurants and it worked quite well.

    Thanks for the help!

  4. Well darn! That's our favorite place on DCL - a great place to walk, relatively quiet, and lovely loungers when you want to relax in the shade. Can't wait to explore the Waterfront and I know there's a jogging track up top. I'm more of an ambler. Smile

I too loved this deck on the Dream. I was down there all the time. But I think we will find that the Waterfront is even better. It's been so popular on the BA and GA, it seems it's even been the inspiration for the MSC Seaside.

  5. When I purchased my specialty dining package it was called the 7 DAY specialty dining program and now NCL has renamed it the 7 MEAL specialty dining program. I called NCL to ask if I go to Pincho tapas (which is discounted on the plan) for a pre show app and then go to an included restaurant for post show full dinner, am I using two of my seven meals in the same day? They had no answer for me..... Would like feedback from this group please.

I think you should start a new thread on this because I think people that don't visit this thread would be interested to hear and chat about this.

  6. I'm boarding an X cruise in 2 weeks. I'm going to give this a shot. I'll update everyone here if I'm successful. I'm sure I won't be but I'll try!!

I tried to upgrade with no success but I must say guest services really tried. They called me twice over 2 days to update me they were working on it. I wasn't successful but I will surely continue to try as I sail other cruises as I now see this is actually possible.

    Best of luck upgrading!

  7. Thanks for this! We are beyond excited for this trip! I think it will be a really great "enticement" to see the Escape moored nearby when getting on the Reflection. Hopefully it will help to build the anticipation just that much more for the next week!

I was just on the Reflection in June and I just did a review on Cruise Radio. Check out Episode 320:
