  1. There used to be a place on the Carnival site that you could put in the standard information (Date, departure, etc.) and it would tell you what the price of the different cabin classes were.

I used to have it saved under my favorites and deleted it. Can't find it anymore. Anyone know what I'm talking about and can tell me where to find it on the Carnival site? Thanks.

  2. Thank you all for your thoughts and perspectives. From everything I have heard (and you all have confirmed it,) Disney is a quality cruise that adults w/o children can enjoy.

And to the person who said they'd recommend Disney, unless you hate Disney...in all honesty, I'm not a Disneyworld/land fan at all. That being said, it sounds like with the cruises I can get the Disney hospitality and service, without all the other things that turn me off about Disney....thanks again.

  3. We are looking at trying Disney as we have been on the other major lines now and are looking for something new. That being said, we have some concerns. While I have nothing against children (have a few myself,) we often cruise in the fall months when there are less children on board. Is this also the case with Disney...or are there always an abundance of children?

As active, fun loving adults, we like to have few drinks and partake of the evening activities. Is there an active night life on Disney...or do things shut down early since many of the passengers are in their cabins with their children?

I've heard good things about the dining and food on Disney, but is it more geared towards children...or are there more sophisticated choices to be had?

Thanks for anyone that can help answer....

  4. I understand why cruise ships are registered in foreign countries. Depending on the ship, Carnival's are registered in Panama, the Bahamas and one in Malta. Does anyone know why Carnival chooses one country for registry vs. another? (Or any cruise line for that matter...)

  5. We will be on the Dawn the week after Thanksgiving November 30th. I know with the holidays there tends to me more(A LOT more) kids during Thanksgiving and RIGHT around Christmas.(for Christmas break) but can anyone give me a rough estimate(and I understand that is all it is) of how many kids to expect when we sail. We have a 3 year old and an 8 year old and I had heard if the kids club wasn't crowded they tend to merge the groups. My brother is also going and has a 13 year old that my 8 year old hangs out with sometimes.

Any knowledge of this would be great. Thanks in advance.

  6. Can be noisy - is going to be dirty - sooty from the stack - don't wear white out there. Also if you encounter rough seas you can be knocked all about while trying to sleep. There also a lot of vibration. We did it once, NEVER again.

And I would disagree with everything this poster has written. While it's louder due to the wake, it's quieter than a side facing balcony due to less wind. Have had no issues with soot. Vibration only when docking or pushing off with thrusters. I'll never sail without an aft balcony ever again.

  7. We don't sail until January 4th - so I am sure everything will be done long before we board her - a little worried she is still sub-par though - oh well, this is a free cruise from the casino so we will be just fine - we always have fun.

Have you sailed the Pride before? What do find sub-par about her?

  8. Sailing on the Pride coming up, and they called to see if we wanted to upgrade from aft to a GS for $700. Thought about it, for about 5 seconds then told them "no way."

Never stayed in the GS before, but I can find plenty more things to spend that money on than some extra room and priority embarkation....

  9. RESPECT ???? Calling a chiropractor a quack shows total lack of respect for a recognized profession.

Sounds like to me you are a chiropractor yourself, or one of their gullible patients....I guess I should say that those that follow the Mixer school of treatment have "some: benefit, but those that follow the Straight school of thought are outright charlatans.

  10. Google "post cruise dizziness" and you will see many ways this problem is addressed.

One suggests that a knowledgable chiropractor may be able to adjust the balance of the inner ear to cure the problem.

With all due respect, don't visit a quack...er...chiropractor for PCD...or any illness, disease, malady, or any medical condition....ever.
