  1. Exactly! We ordered aperol spritzes before dinner which I would never have thought to do without the HIA!
  2. We had a great table in Tamarind for dinner. We could see that the smoking side is on the starboard side of the Lido deck. On Koningsdam it was on the port side, I think,. Khay visited us at dinner. She must be the first female Cellar Master and we congratulated her. There will be a Cellar Master dinner on the TA, date still to be finalized, we’ll definitely be there. Just a couple of pictures from dinner, which was very good. I must say, having the Have It All promo really makes life easy, and you don’t even have to think about whether you want a drink or not! Darling Khay! lamb and barramundi. decorations outside the Tamarind.
  3. I don’t think Paula @olson99 will mind if I post her pic of the PTZ balcony! Thanks Lou and Dave!
  4. My understanding is that he is on for these 5 days, then the new Captain will board. I’ll try to find out more.
  5. The priority lounge I was talking about is in the Terminal building. You just have to tell the person handing out the boarding passes that you are CO, and you get to go upstairs to a different waiting room and get to be the among the early ones to board.
  6. Thanks so much for the great pictures! Paula @Olson9999 got a picture of the wavers at PTZ and said she’d email it to me.
  7. Captain is a funny man. Latest announcement - We’re getting ready to leave, everyone not sailing with us, please get off the ship…”
  8. It actually doesn’t look like there is one today. Just the Sailaway party. I hope they will have one on the other days.
  9. Captain Timmers just came on and said a last few people have not checked in at their muster stations, but “We know who you are!” So I think things will be happening soon. The wine is on ice, and we should be 8 on our verandah for sailaway.
  10. We have one of those interesting sideways rooms, like we had on Koningsdam. Somehow this one seems a little smaller, the bathroom definitely is smaller. But it has a lovely long balcony. I have my feet up on the bed relaxing from a busy day. There is another long balcony aft of us, and one of those angled balconies ahead of us.
  11. The Daily program for today. I wonder if we’ll be through dinner in time to go to Cantare.
  12. Everything seems to be going smoothly now. Suitcases unpacked and we got a big bucket of ice from the Ocean Bar for the Sailaway wine! Pat’s nosebleed has stopped for the time being, the Vaseline was in his suitcase and he has applied that. He has been on antibiotics since October, so that may very well have something to do with it. However, the surgeon wants him to stay on it, so we may just have to put up with for now.
  13. We’re on board quickly and Tony and I went immediately to the podium to make dinner reservations. Roice is the host in Tamarind and said she could organize everything for us. Khay is cellar master and we are on the lookout for her. I’ve invited Dustin (from Vancouver) , the assistant Hotel Manager, to our M& G on the 1st.
  14. We’re now waiting in the priority lounge with other CCers, but we’ll be back in FLL in 5 days and plan a trip to the drugstore then.
  15. A couple of months ago when he had a really bad nosebleed and I took him to emergency, they wouldn’t cauterize, just said use Vaseline regularly, and he does, but I think he put it in his suitcase so has gone without for a few days - naughty! the Holiday Inn has been very nice, and only charged us for the one night.
  16. No, no blood thinners. I’m not sure why this is happening. At least we are back in Fort Lauderdale in five days. We’ll see how things are then .
  17. Good morning, Dailyites! No ham for us tonight, we have a reservation at Tamarind, but thank you everyone for posting. I don’t think I have mentioned, but Pat’s surgery has been moved up to May 5, so we are going to be very busy after we get back on April 26. And he now seems to be getting nosebleeds almost every day, I don’t know why. He’s having one now. Hope it stops before we board. I wonder if they can do cautery on the ship… too late to cancel…..
